I've noticed nobody has said anything about break in. You will not get the big numbers until you have about 5,000+ miles on the car. The mileage will start going up after that. Winter and cold weather will drop mileage so don't be shocked with low numbers. The ICE needs to be warm before the battery power will start kicking in. It will have to run more to stay warmed up. Spring weather you will get a huge increase in mileage so hang in there and you will love your CMax.

They are retooling for the 2014 models. They will start back up making them and have them ready to send out to dealerships in a month or two.

I press the phyical power button to turn on and off. No I hadn't messed with the touch screen at all that day. No voice commands either. Just drove 10 miles down went into the store came out loaded the car drove off and within a minute or so the radio turned on. It must have been because I was passing by a haunted house and cemetary at the time. :drop:

I drove to the grocery store yesterday. I did NOT have the radio on. After shopping I started the car and drove off and the radio came on. What's up with that? Hope that it doesn't turn on while it is parked and run down the battery. Anyone have this happen? If so what was the fix?

Good Morning everyone Temps in the mid 40's this morning and still got 48.8 mpg on my 33 mile trip to work on the freeway at 70. Hope this trend continues into winter. I'll still be happy if it gets in the low 40's in freezing temps. 7 months of ownership and 9,000+ miles later still no problems (except the mileage improvement update) My little Maxie is humming along nicely.

Same here. I tired of you liftgate is ajar message. Have to slam it to make it go away. Door chime works fine. chimes at me if the door isn't closed and blows the horn if I get out and shut the door with the car on. FIX MY LIFTGATE.

I love my keyless entry and push button start. Also have factory remote start. It's nice just grab the door handle and all of the doors unlock. Great when you have a car load and don't have to look for the unlock button on the armrest after you open the drivers door to let everyone else in. One swipe of your finger to lock all of the doors when you get out is nice to. :thumbsup:

Carpet pad is held in with velcro so that it can be removed to sevice the Litho Battery.

Welcome and Congrats on your purchase. I know what you mean. I love the cabin hieght and seating position. I'm a tall guy and couldn't get a fuel efficient car before now. I couldn't fit into them. Keep us informed on how you like your car. Have any questions ask away.

At 70 on the interstate the instant mpg gauge reads 40 or a little above with the ICE running. After I got mine back from Ford I am able to run half and half between ICE and EV on the freeway now. Note the 2nd pic above 57.9mpg on it. For the 33 mile trip on the freeway at 70 I was in EV 15.5 miles of that. I don't know what they did to fix my car but I like it.

Same here. I will drive my 4x4 truck when the ice and snow are on the roads, so not worried about the C Max tires

I have to drive 85% freeway to work and have noticed a big difference as you can see above. The car went into EV for a couple miles and then to ICE to charge the battery for a couple of miles and it kept repeating this al the way down the freeway. Almost half of my comute is EV now. I recieved delivery of my C Max in March with break in and cold at the same time I don't know what to expect in the winter. I'm hoping it will at least get in the low 40's for milage. I would be happy with that.

I sure am enjoying the great mileage again. My truck stinks, but was as good as my C max before they fixed it. Here is a pic I took after the drive into work this morning. .6 miles at 55mph to the exit, 30 miles on the freeway at 70mph, and 3 miles on city streets.

I'm with you. I liked the way my car was before the update. I was doing great on mileage, but they did mess up my update. My car went from 45-47 mpg on the highway to 25-30mpg. The ICE was screaming at 3,000 to 5,000 rpms on the freeway. Could hardly hear the radio over the sound of the engine noise and to have the dealership check it out and tell me nothing was wrong ticked me off. Now that she's running right again the update seems ok. A little loss of power but I understand thats how they got the mileage up. I got a letter to have the MFT updated. I'm afraid to have them mess with the programing again. I'm hoping that while Ford had my car for the update mess that they went on and updated the MFT also. Anyone know how I can check?

My dealer says nothing was wrong. I knew they were full of it. It sure runs nice now. I work for the state and deal with a lot of people in differant agencies through my job. So after all else failed I consulted someone at the AG's office to see what to do next. Mike DeWine is looking to run again so he is always trying to get his name in the news. Might have heard about the Stubenville rape case. The court settled the case and then the AG's office went in and investigated the teachers to see if they knew anything. I think just to get his name out there. On the drive in I was noticing it going into EV for a couple miles then back to ICE a few miles over and over again. I was watching my lifetime average going up also. Started at 45.2 and by the time I got to work (33.6 miles) it was 45.8, a .6 increase. I've seen it drop that fast but never go up this fast before. They must have done something right at Ford this time. Finally happy with the update. :yahoo:

Just got my baby back last night from the Attorney Generals Office. They had Ford fix the update that was messed up. Everything working great. Drives nice again. Flipped to the coach screen. Braking full bar BLUE - Cruising 1/4 bar YELLOW - Accelerating Less than 1/4 RED from the messed up update. On the drive home Braking still full bar BLUE - Acceleration a little over 1/2 BLUE - Cruising 3/4 bar BLUE. The engine's RPM's are back to normal and getting better. Got 48.7 mpg going home and nice and quiet again. (30 miles 70 mph) My drive to work before update was averaging 50 + - 54.3 best. With the messed up update It dropped to 32-35 mpg. This morning 33.6 miles ( 30 at 70mph 3 on city streets and the .6 at 55mph from home to the exit.) 57.9MPG. :happy feet: New Record for me. My baby is back !!!!! :wub2: They wouldn't tell me what they did to fix it. I was hoping to pass it on to everyone.

I'll never get that kind of milage. I live in the country 10 miles from the nearest town. My drive to work is 30 miles on the freeway at 70. My best for the trip was 54.3mpg before the update stuff.
