  1. Thanks I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I should have gone to Ricart Ford. It's about 100 acres of car lot with it's own streets and traffic lights. You drive (not walk) out in the lot to look at cars. The only draw back is It's always busy and you have to wait a long time to get waited on. My baby will be coming back fixed for sure this time, unless it can't be fixed. In which case they will have to buy it back. I'm missing her everytime I go to the gas station. Just filled my truck last night $65 and only last me 4 days :sad:
  2. They say they have turned my baby over to Ford. I checked and she's not at my dealership so who knows where she is. Far as I know it could be back at the factory for its reprograming. Hope they tell me what they did to fix the problem so I can pass it on. I miss Maxie :cry:
  3. Just heard from the Attorney Generals office. They tested my car against a new one and a used one with this update installed. The two test cars had same the results and mine was extremly different. They are going to make Ford fix my car now that it is confirmed my update is messed up. I don't know when this will happen so who knows when I'll get Maxie back. I have been driving my truck this week. Nice quiet ride compared to Maxie's screaming ICE 3,000 -4,000 rpms (1800-2000rpms in my truck) Milage is the same as Maxie 25 mpg. I sure miss my 50-55mpg I used to get when I bought Maxie before this update. :cry:
  4. Salsaguy is correct. All C Maxes have GPS tracking and the car uses the information from this to determine frequent destinations. It then can know when to activate EV+. I believe that EV+ activates after 15 visits to the same location.
  5. FYI Ford says that this is normal. I've turned everything over to the Ohio Attorney Generals office. That's one of the perks working here. They have a couple of people that work there with C Maxes without the update. They are going to test those cars against mine and prove that the update jacked mine up. What does the anouncer say at the begining of a fighting match? LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!!!!
  6. That sounds like the way mine is now. Just drove it to Virginia over the holiday and was getting passed by semi trucks in the mountains. Got a a hole 28mpg for the trip 400+ miles. I JUST LOVE THIS UPDATE!!!

  8. My dealer owns about all of the dealerships with in 50 miles of me. They sell everything. I would take it somewhere else but I would have to drive to Cleveland or Cincinnati to get dealer not owned by Beyers.
  9. My dealer says they have 2 Hybid certified mechanics. I did take it back but they couldn't find anything wrong. It was running better when I left though. Lasted a few days then back to the SOS.39-42mpg This morning it's back to running normal.50.1mpg. Go figure. I'm thinking a sensor may be dying. That would explain it. Going to go on a trip to eastern Ohio this weekend. Lots of hills to climb. I'll post how I do. Wish me luck
  10. I'm confused. :headscratch: Yesterday the drive in and back home I have the high rpm's problem. 42.3 mpg in and 39.3mpg home. This morning the car is running normal again. 50.1mpg into work. I'm with you WAB. This has to be a sensor or something. Only wish it would through a trouble code. Strange that it started right after the update.

I'm using the rpm meter in my view, my ears, and the vibration in the seat of my pants. 55 mph 2500 rpms 65 mph 2800 - 3000 rpms 70 mph 3000- 3500 rpms These are while cruising at these speeds 5000- 6000 rpms excellerating onto the freeway, red lining the gauge. Takes 1 mile to excellerate to 70mph trying not to blow the engine up. The ICE sounds like driving in a NASCAR race on the freeway at 70mph. Vibration in the stearing wheel, gas pedal, and in the seat of my pants. Instant mpg gauge reading 25mpg. NO EV mode unless you take your foot off of the gas pedal. aaa peace and quiet. Then back to NASCAR with roaring ICE. Ford dealer says this is normal after the update. This is not a sports car. I have a hybrid. It doesn't have much power to excellerate. I think they are full of it. Everyone here that drives these cars knows that Just got a letter to have the My Ford Touch updated. YEA!!!! RIGHT!!!! Like I'm going to let them mess with it again. I'll be pushing home after that. But that would be normal to I suppose. Anyone have any sugestions ? HELP!!!!!
  13. After a few days of seeing improvement in power it's been going backwards. More power than just after the update but a lot less than before the update. Does anyone know who I can conact to report my problem. My dealership can't find anything wrong, so no used to go back. (maybe a different dealership????)
  14. Just to clear things up. The update stinks. NO power to pass and climb hills. The car is starting to get better but nothing like before. I wish they would have left it alone. I loved it the way it was when I bought it. I'm just waiting to get in an accident in it merging on the freeeway or just pulling out of my driveway. I live on a 2 lane highway 55mph, Nobody drives that slow on it so I have had a couple close calls already. If I survive the crash that's coming I won't be getting another Ford.
  15. I have the same problem with mine. I took it back and they checked it and told me that it is installed correctly per Fords update. I'm not happy with my car anymore. No power to pass and climb hills. This update stinks.
  16. Anyone remember a comercial for insurance? A nice new car is sitting in a empty parking lot. Then a beater pulls in inches from it and opens his door. BAM!!! I'm starting to think that is the case for real.
  17. Congrats on your new job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't forget the gas savings will make the car payment a lot less of a hit. I drive 33 miles one way to work. After break in and warmer weather I am saving $200 a month in gas versus my old car. That means the budget takes less of a hit each month. Oh and my insurance is less on my C Max. Bonus!!!! Hope you get things in order soon so that you can enjoy the C Max
  18. Ordered mine in Feb. and took delivery in March. Mine says 47 47 47. They never put the thing on my car so no hard copy of it, but I do have a pdf of the online one when it was given it's VIN.
  19. After taking mine back which they say could not find anything wrong. My power is back and mileage is creeping back up. Burned a half tank with the cars ICE screaming on the highway and during accelation. Yesterday drove to work 33 miles mostly at 70. Got 45+mpg. Coming home same route got 46+. Seems to be learning my drive and adjusting for better mileage. Still haven't gotten my frequent destinations back yet, so will improve even more.

  21. I hear that the update will adjust itself to get the best feul milage as it learns your driving style. Mine seemed stuck in the lose drive train mode.
  22. Took my Maxie in to fix the update. They said they used 2 computers and checked the update to be sure, and they could not find anything wrong. Driving off the lot I noticed right away that something was changed. I had power agian. My babies back :happy feet: :yahoo: :bliss: Coming into work today at 70. RPS that used to run at 4500 and climb hills at 6000 were back to cruise at 2000 and climb hills at 3000. I was using 1/4 tank of gas per day for 66 mile round trip and now did't see a change on the gas gauge coming in. EV at 65 aand 70 is AWSOME!!!!! :wub2: Have to tell them what happened GREAT JOB BUYERS FORD!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. I seem to agree. My loss of tork seems better after a week. It is still a lot less than before the upgrade. I have an appointment this afternoon to have them check it out. I'll let everyone know what they find.
  24. That Stinks!!!!! My friends just bought a new Dodge Journey. Someone keyed it in a mall parking lot. Just 2 weeks old. Always seems that when you get something nice some ***#% hole will mess it up for you.
