aeboi863 Someone else had a failed 13B07 update, I think it was JohnnOhio. You should visit your dealer and convince them that they need to RE-install the update to your car. I’m searching for the thread but haven’t found it yet. More when/if I find it.

My wife has one of those friends. I finally convinced her that all she had to do was pull the door handle twice and the door would open.

Our last 2 Ford's (MKX) stink, getting ready to spray the cmax for the 2nd time.

"I see is some of the truckers on the highway. Just don't pull in front of them or you will get run over" Or motor homes, especially gas powered motor homes. You've seen 18 wheelers smoking their tires when someone pulls in front of them and slams on their brakes. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN with a gasser MH, these things WILL NOT STOP!!! :runaway:

You've got a couple of yrs on me. First book I ever read "Red Planet" in 1957. My mother gave me a copy in the 1980's, still have it most of his others. Sometimes I wonder how many teen and pre teen lives he changed :jump_earth:.

Recreational Towing (behind a motor home)
wab replied to jmckinley's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Roof Racks & Towing
We have a ground from the 7 way to the ground post under the hood, no problems. PIN #1 (should be the white wire) is the ground. We also have a diode. -
Here's the link where joe has his navigation module replaced. http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/1496-navigation-gps-fix-tsb-13-3-11-fix-for-unable-to-locate-vehicle-etc/ "UPDATE: Dealer ordered a new GPSM (Global Position System Module) and installed it today. GPS WORKS - YIPEE - my C-Max is now perfect. We drove around and it stays on track. No wandering around in the bushes or off road. Here is what the work order says: "Copied the info from the old GPSM on to the IDS. Removed the ICP & removed the GPMS. Installed the new GPMS. Reinstalled the IPC. Downloaded the info back into the new GPSM."" I would mention this TSB and the one below to your dealers, EVEN the 2014. This is the big one, fixed A LOT of cars! http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/1484-nav-gps-tsb-13-3-11-fix-for-unable-to-locate-vehicle-etc/

:redcard: After looking at the pictures I took I’m thinking this 2014 hood seal is a BIG BUNCH of public relations BS! Here’s a picture I haven’t posted in my Gallery. The white you see in the grill opening is the radiator support and from there it’s a straight shot to the firewall. :drop:

Here's my version of the 2014 hood seal. Add this to Johns suggestions. It worked on an old Motorola I had… :headspin: OR maybe a phone system I used to work on??? Set up a phone call then go to your iphone, DON’T switch to it just turn the volume on the phone up.

Our motor home has a Ford motor, used a gallon of coolant in the first 5K miles. Took it to a dealer "They also pressure tested and saying there was no leak." Used another quart so we took it to another dealer, they changes a hose...hasn't used a drop in over 4K miles. A co-worker added coolant every month to a company car for a year and sent it to the shop 5 or 6 times, one month he "forgot" the autopsy result said "leaking head gasket FOR A LONG time."

Recreational Towing (behind a motor home)
wab replied to jmckinley's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Roof Racks & Towing
Greeting and Welcome I just tested the brake lights and they DO NOT work with the c-max in "ready to tow" condition. I followed the instructions/video from etrailer to install the lights, easy DIY. http://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Draw-Tite/118137.html All the etrailer C-Max videos are gone. I used sockets and bulbs from a local auto supply. wab -
Engine reving in park. lunging forward
wab replied to Massie Lawson's topic in Maintenance, TSB's & Recalls
Greetings and Welcome Sounds like your car is VERY confused and DOES not sound like it is safe to drive. FordService (Ashley) should see this in the morning and ask you to send her a PM. You can speed up the process by going to the “Forums” tab located at the top of this page on the green tool bar. At the bottom of that pg is the “Test” sub-forum. You will need to start some new topics and/or reply to 5 topics before you can use the PM feature which is also located at the top on the same tool bar where you log in. Here’s a link to the forum “Help Topics” http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/index.php?app=core&module=help check “Personal Messenger” Hope this helps get your c-max back on the road ASAP. -
This is the only forum I belong to that I have problems with. Can’t Paste Can’t Quote Can’t use anything on the top tool bar (text color, can't change font size, smiley etc) But I have found a few work arounds. I copy and paste into a word document then copy and paste from there to the forum. Use MultiQuote then delete the post I don’t want to quote. A partial work around for the top tool bar. ????

It’s pretty hard to get the old fluid out of some transmissions (F250 6.0) no drain, you have to let the transmission pump the old out and the new in. Some even with a drain (Mini Cooper S) it’s even harder to get the new in, no fill tube.

Here's an older POLL with a few more votes. We're one of the unknown # of NON(no bat problems)voters. 18+K miles http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/1294-for-those-who-have-had-12v-battery-problems/

I’ve installed a couple of spoilers over the years. This spoiler wouldn’t change the value of the C-Max like some add-on’s do. AND it is scary drilling that first hole! It would be interesting to see the supplied installation instructions.
