  1. Interesting points for Ford to consider in future product launches. There is no comparative data for how C-Max sales have been affected by the mpg controversy. The Fusion Hybrid is affected by the same EPA vs Real World discrepancies as the C-Max and Fusion sales are breaking records vs the previous model.
  2. Mine too, I originally thought I could use that to double check successful door locks.
  3. The C-Max does not work nearly as well as our Passats on door lock notifications or functionality. For example in our Passat's, you park the vehicle, get out, touch the door handle, start walking toward your work, store or whatever. When the last person exits and all doors are closed your horn sounds confirming the doors have locked. Unlock your Passat and if you don't open one of the doors within about a minute or so it will automatically re-lock the doors. All of these features are programmable through the VW MDI display on the dash. There is no autolock, audible notification, or any way to program any lock feature in the C-Max.
  4. Welcome from North Texas.
  5. Did you have any iPod or USB drives plugged in with a number of music selections when this happened?
  6. At least its step forward for some of us Legacy owners. :)
  7. Could the 3.5.1 release happen soon? http://boards.synccommunity.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?webtag=fordsyncmb&nav=userposts&userId=1896178384
  8. You are running MFT 3.5.1, early adopters like myself are waiting for this version to solve our freeze/reboot problems. Also the Check Engine light issue has been resolved with a redesigned part you also have. So I would not expect anything major at this point, a good test of your MFT version is to plug in a large collection of music, ipod classic or thumb drive, and see how well it performs.
  9. Exactly and all software has bugs. I know right after I left my company they were purchased by Siemens and picked up the Bejing Airport Baggage Handling project. Bejing decided to go with the WIndows version of our MMI product. Simultaneously we were contracted by ItaliaRail to integrate an upgrade to their existing system and they refused to go with Windows. We had not released any new versions of our Unix based products at that time but ItaliaRail insisted that we port to Linux as a condition of the the contract.
  10. I never said that. There is a reason why Nasa chose Linux based systems for the Mars Rovers. The software company I used to work for did business with Nasa and our Linux systems controlled the Space Shuttle fuel loading and the Mars booster test systems.
  11. Don't forget those Audi R18 e-tron quattro hybrids that won Sebring too. http://bq4.no/2013/03/first-triumph-of-a-hybrid-race-car-at-sebring/
  12. White C-Max Energi with Illinois plates was sited today going into Market Street in Allen, Texas. There are 4 charging stations in that area and its right off I75. Charge and a burger maybe?
  13. Thanks for the reference. I was also considering the Continental ExtremeContact DWS, have you evaluated the driving dynamics of this tire.
  14. Same as in my Sig, 2012 Passat TDI SEL.
  15. Interesting factoid about the Primacy, I meant to say ProContact in my original post. I will do further research into the PureContact. My only Primacy complaint is how easily my Passat seems to spin on start without much effort. I have already worn down a set at 20k so I will be in the market for new tires soon. You have any recommendation for LRR performance oriented tires in 18"?
  16. Since most "Cloud Computers" are running some type of HyperVisor at their core, with machines existing within as Virtual Instances the mainframe analogy is exactly what we have returned to. I have owned several Windows Mobile based phones before switching to iPhones. Every Windows Mobile device I ever owned had problems with multiple simultaneous tasks. Example: My "last" Windows phone would freeze and require a reboot if a text message came in at the same time as a phone call. You could no longer answer your phone until you rebooted. Sync seems to do ok as long as it only has a single task to process at a time. Give it more than a couple of tasks or throw in a longer running task like handling a large playlist and its done.
  17. Welcome to the club, check out the C-Max how to videos.
  18. How much of a hit did you take in FE with the Primacy MXM4 on your Prius? Our Golf TDI has the Continental PureContact and they are excellent tires, not quite the turn in response of the Primacy. There was a temporary shortage of Primacy's when we were shopping tires for the Golf a few months ago after a screw driver went through the sidewall of the OEMs.
  19. Thanks for doing the research on this. Tire selection is an important decision that unfortunately doesn't get the amount of in depth research it deserves. The process should also factor in the most common types of weather hazards faced by the region you reside. I plan to go with these tires if anything happens to the current set. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/testDisplay.jsp?ttid=138 Fuel economy is a factor but not my primary consideration in shopping for new tires. I have installed the Primacy MXM4 on my previous Jetta TDI and my current Passat TDI and they have performed well in various driving conditions. About 2 years ago we had a foot of snow in the DFW area and I was able to navigate the roads in my Jetta without too much drama. Although not equipped with LRR from the factory there has been no notable degradation of FE and big gains in wet/dry stopping and handling. Primary I look for a balance of the best performing tire with the lowest rolling resistance. The money saved on fuel could quickly be offset by an avoidable accident if your tires had a little extra stopping power or handling capability. My region also tends to get sudden downpours leaving hydroplaning causing water on the roads so you need to properly prepare to avoid those situations.
  20. I haven't been able to narrow it to any one side, definitely seems worse in cold weather. More pronounce when turning and going over a speed bump or dip in the road.
  21. Has anyone else noticed a rattle in the front suspension when going over bumps or turning? I have mentioned this twice to my dealer when the C-Max was in for the Check Engine Light problem but they could find nothing wrong. It sounds like a loose caliper or front suspension part. The dealer promised they gave it a thorough check out and could find nothing wrong. The noise is getting more pronounced with time.
  22. http://www.greencarreports.com/news/1083331_diesel-vs-small-turbo-gas-engines-does-real-world-mpg-matter As fuel efficiency standards tighten continuously between now and 2025, buyers will have more powertrain options to chose from. And many have suggested there's a battle coming among smaller gasoline engines, diesels, and hybrids. If so, we hope that buyers will do the research to look at the real-world fuel savings of each alternative--and NOT just the EPA ratings.
  23. My account was screwed for a few weeks until our previous part time Mod reset my account. Oddly after the reset I can no longer login with Firefox on my Mac. Safari and Chrome work fine? At one point there was discussion of adding Tapatalk support but when I ask the Mod there was no response.
  24. Thanks for taking on the Mod job, you were an excellent choice. :)
