  1. Impressive especially this time of year for you!
  2. It's back on sale for the next three days using this coupon code: MISSU2A to reduce it to $109.99 BTW, I'm not profiting from this just a satisfied user. Here it is installed on my car:
  3. WOW, what an elaborate testing setup. Thanks for posting it. From the article, "After sifting and tuning the data -- for instance, its A/C load gets interpolated at 50 percent of full blast, data compromised by unusual traffic is deleted, the city and highway results are weighted per the EPA's 55/45 ratio, and there's compensation for the difference between the battery's pre- and post-test state of charge -- the C-Max got…45.6 mpg."
  4. A thread had a link to them on the Energi forum. Note: PID's are originally from the fusion energi so some may or may not work. I've only loaded the SOC gauge so far. http://fordcmaxenergiforum.com/topic/1293-scangauge-x-gauges-programming-c-max-ffh/
  5. I guess it depends on what Paul is calling "low" and "almost full". I've seen about 1/2 rise up to almost full after sitting but without pics folks won't know my reference points either. Taking a page from either my former Prius or Volt, I wish the Cmax had individual pips for battery level. I have a scan gauge and finally added a custom X gauge for the HV battery state-of-charge (SOC). Although I don't understand the scale yet, the SOC is in numerical form which is much easier to read. Please excuse blurry pic:
  6. Yeah I found that moving the sensitivity switch to something more aggressive requires the least amount of my attention in changing conditions. IOW, I'd rather have the wipers working too well rather than not enough.
  7. I live in a semi-arid climate so back when the salesman pointed out the auto-wiper feature during the test drive I just rolled my eyes; however, I quickly learned what a cool feature it is. Today, I spent several hours in all kinds of rain; everything for light mist to frog strangling downpours that flooded the road (45mph in a 75mph zone). This isn't a pic of the my south Texas seashore :camera: it's inland farmland. On the way back home after dark, I realized I had never touched the wiper stalk. One less worry during a hectic drive. Great car. :happy feet:
  8. Robert, do you have an Energi model or the hybrid? If you have a hybrid, the EV miles were created by the gas motor/generator combo which can only work/run by using gasoline. Regen miles are created by, again, the gas motor propelling the car up to speed or up a hill. No free lunch my friend.
  9. Thanks Bill. I had the P0600 code (Control Serial Communication Link Malfunction) a few weeks into ownership along with some weird air temperature readings on the main display. I attributed it to (unknowingly at the time) power washing the temperature sensor which is under the right mirror the day before. I reset it and it has yet to return 7 months later.
  10. Thanks again Bill. I have this issue to with the right front strut. It's more of a hollow pipe knock that occurs over very sharp bumps like rail road tracks or pot holes. I have mixed feelings about this fix.
  11. Thanks Bill. I first notice this during some hyper-miling runs when I was getting a lot of seat time while performing long, smooth regen stops. Mine has an ever so slight pull to the left. I was questioning myself on how this could be happening when A) the friction brakes (the common reason for pulling) shouldn't be activated and B) if they were the cause, they shouldn't be sticking anyways being so new (15,000 miles). I'll have to give the N troubleshooting method a try.
  12. You're confusing the C-Max hybrid (this forum) with the C-Max Energi plug-in which does get some of motive power from a/c electricity off the grid. The hybrid gets 100% of it's motive power from gasoline. It stores some of that force in the form of electricity in the large HV battery. None of it comes from the grid. Another way to look at it: electricity isn't a fuel. It's simply a carrier/transmitter of power generated by another source (coal, wind, sun, oil, nuclear, etc) and in the case of hybrids; gasoline.
  13. Jaz, While experimenting, I didn't necessarily find this to be true. When I went gunning for 700 mile tank, I went "all out" which included bumping up the pressures to the mid-40's and found the ride to actually improve. When lower, it seemed the tires were doing most of the bump absorption but when raised it felt like the suspension took over and the car became more responsive yet more comfortable and controlled over bumps. When I went for the 800 tank (but nearly hit 900 :happy feet: ), I took the pressures to 50+ and, yes, the ride became more bouncy but nothing I'd call uncomfortable/spine jarring. Give it a try and see what you think. It costs nothing but a little time.
  14. Yes, they are very tempting right now. Your extra state rebate may be enough to make up for the loss on an early trade in. Is the energi EV range a good match for your driving needs? Can you charge during the day? I had a volt and miss pure EV driving.
  15. CONGRATS! Feels good doesn't it? :happy feet: Yes after both you and the car get more miles this winter, you should expect many more of these trips come spring.
  16. If it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is. They can simply lengthen the term of the loan on a higher priced vehicle to keep the payment the same or even lower. How can you tell when a dealer isn't telling the truth? Their mouth moves. The point is to get you back in the showroom to "work you".
  17. Yeah, you should still see an ongoing increase as the car breaks in more. Looking around the forum, 10-15k miles seems to be the break in zone.
  18. SNIT has been a pretty active poster but hasn't logged in since september which coincides with his last fuelly entry. :detective: I hope everything is OK with him.
  19. Got my first door ding this weekend.  :rant2: At least it didn't break the paint.
  20. So what does it do now when you get out of the running vehicle with the FOB on your person? A series of chimes?
  21. Here's my thread on how I did it: http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/1835-custom-rear-bumper-treatment/ Looks like I won't be wrapping our Honda civic roof. Got a letter this weekend from Honda extending the warranty on paint failure out to 7 years.
  22. Edit: operator error. No issues. Vote deleted.
  23. Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?....... :headscratch:
