Well that didn't last very long! :gaah: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Internal Combustion Engine. ICE refers to the gas side of the equation while "motor" is used for the electrical propulsion. More info here: http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/974-hybrid-car-acronyms/

I saw 8 Teslas on a car carrier going the opposite direction on I-10 out in west Texas. That was an amazing sight but at those speeds there was no way to get a picture.

Or it's Aliens.......

I haven't seen this mentioned here on the forum so my first thought is it's operator(s) induced since it only takes a quick tap of the left controller to change a screen. Another possibility is a loose wire or malfunctioning controller. I would think that if it's a software issue you'd see more reports of it happening.

6 months old + 12,000 miles including 2,500 mile long trip with the kids = time for a detail. Washed, waxed (scratch that, I don't wax since I applied opti-coat 2.0 shortly after buying), and cleaned/detailed the entire interior (including leather seats) with 303 Protectorant (as recommended by this forum) and microfiber towels. Final step was the windows and screens (overspray). It's a new car again!

Yes the jack points are omitted from the manual but as has been mentioned there are triangles molded in the bottom trim piece (see photo). Out of curiosity while I was doing a tire rotation, I found a point a couple of inches in front of the B-piller (the one between the doors) will lift both wheels (used a large floor jack for that). NOTE: bottle jack pictured below will not fit if tire is completely flat. Use a scissor jack!

Your link is to a 4 ton. I'm using a 2 ton that I got it at Northern tool not Harbor freight. Also make sure you are using the correct jack point. There is a triangle imprint in the black plastic trim as a locator. See first photo in post #72. There is less clearance to the left or right of that point. Good Luck!

Hello Chris and Welcome. :happy feet: Speaking of welcomes and being new to forums, why don't you copy/paste your message and add it to the Welcome forum. Lots more folks will see it and many will want to say "Hi". We're a friendly bunch.

Yes there are different volume settings. For instance you can change the NAV voice and not effect the radio. Have someone call you while you're in the car with the radio on and after it mutes, turn the volume up.

Job 3 C-Maxes missing Lifetime Summary??
fotomoto replied to hybridbear's topic in General Discussion
I had my trip 2 setup as a lifetime. I also wanted to see if it would continue past 10K miles but I had the update done at 9,300 miles and it was reset. <grrrrrr> :rant2: -
Welcome Andy! I just noticed that one can now add "mini-stats" and there are many selections; I added gallons per 100 miles. And now when you view other members pages, their values for those same mini-stats will also display on their pages so you can compare. Nice.
-
Give it time folks. I got the update around the same time as other first adopters however I immediately went on a 2500 mile week long trip afterwards. So, I am probably 5-6 tanks up on everyone else and I'm seeing no issues. 49.6 mpg on this morning's commute which jives with my spring trips but I'm using more A/C right now. Hwy is about the same.
-
I don't know either as I also rarely look at the tach (plus I don't have hills HAH!). But I bet you, like me, keep it on one of the other gauges such as Engage and know where the ICE power bar is normally. If so, select the tach in My View and then toggle back/forth between the two gauges to compare. IIRC, two bars on Engage is about 2,000 rpm.

Why are we YELLING? Or does using all caps make the message more important? Dang newbs...... :) Seriously, follow the advice and monitor your results over a month or so.
-
Understood, newbs get a BIG pardon! BTW, I own the record for lowest brake score: a lowly 7!!!! But just remember, better brake scores means more regen. More regen means more battery. More battery means more EV range. More EV range means more MPG's. Enjoy your new ride.
-
Excellent slampro. Anticipate the traffic more to improve those brake scores and possibly get one or two "free" mpg's on those trips. I know it's difficult if you leave too much of a gap and then others squeeze in right in front of you using up your buffer.

One of the best things I've done to improve my fuel economy no matter what car I drive is to leave early or at least on time. I sip my coffee while I P&G and just shake my head at all the others flying by, cutting each other off, and slamming on their brakes while trying not to be late, again. So my answer is C. :)
-
Shelly just wait. Your mileage should improve even more in the upcoming months as temps cool and you use the a/c less. I got mine at the tail end of spring and my best tanks were back even though the ICE wasn't even close to broken in and before the FE update. My educated guess is you'll be looking at 50mpg trips.

For CMaxes with Auto-Lights. Get a couple of pieces of solid tape (non-transparent, black is best). Place tape over sensor at the front of the dash. I did a better job of this once I determined it worked. It's a long reach! Select "Auto" on the light control and leave on: When car is powered on, headlights will now come on and they will power down when the car is powered off (time according to settings). NOTE: dash lights will be dimmer during the day but still easily viewable.
-
Interesting! The 2014 will come with a new transmission ratio. Maybe this will support your theory.

I have the Sony system but I had issues like that (performance lag) immediately after the last MFT update. I did a master reset which didn't seem to help and they eventually cleared up a day or so later. <shruggs>

Or live in smaller communities. 40% of the US population lives in areas of 200,000 or less. Plug-in's really solve the small trip scenario.
-
Actually dropped .1 back down to 40.1 Hmmm. Maybe a reflection of summer highway traveling? I know I contributed with numerous sub 40 tanks.

A/C drip from the car in front of me, vehicle in front washes their windshield, vehicle in front hits a puddle, etc. You can turn the sensitivity down if it bothers you.
