  1. You would think that either the GPS or the paired phone would set the time.
  2. Actually doing the update takes about 20 minutes. I watched them doing mine.
  3. Yes. Forgot to mention it but it was actually hotter the first time.
  4. Disappointed. Did the 620 mile trip from NC to NJ today. Did the same trip 2 months ago and got 42 mpg then. Was really psyched to see the effect with the update. Got 41! Running 70-75 up hilly I 81 with ac and temps around 80. Don't know what to think. I know there are many variables. I noticed the lag getting into EV at high speed. I did run in EV at 75 though and once when speed creeped up to 80. Before this trip I did notice improved mpg around town--post upgrade. Sorry to have started yet another thread on this topic. Mods--feel free to move.
  5. If your EV+ locations still work I believe the update didn't take.
  6. Daveo...does your car have nag? Mine doesn't and I need to go and see if that option is on my car.
  7. Thanks Jeff. The shelf thing arrived in today's mail and about 1 minute after removal from the envelop it was in place. Fits perfectly.
  8. Don't know if this is something related to the 13B07 update, but since my clock loses the time. Once it was off by almost an hour and then suddenly reset to the correct time. Then yesterday, it wouldn't adjust, being about 20 minutes slow. It is properly paired with my iPhone. Does the clock get it's time from the phone or from the gps (no gps module in my car)? I manually set the time last night and it seems to be accurate now. Any ideas anyone? Marty
  9. Nice number for a one week car. Good job.
  10. What a great test. Thanks so much for reporting. I have not done anything so scientific, but anecdotally I have noticed higher numbers. Just drove about 23 miles on hilly interstates at 70 with A/C on and got a 48mpg average. Can't wait to do my 620 mile trip this Sunday and see the results.
  11. I'm willing to bet big time bucks that you did not get the proper update. This is what happened to me. If you can't get into EV above 62 and the EV+ locations are still active, you didn't get it. I had to go back a second day to have them do the proper update. My dealer said they did not have the proper update in their laptops and had to redo that before re-doing me.
  12. The same thing happened to me the first time. The dealer determined that their laptops in the service area did not have the correct update on them. The next day I returned and has a successful update.
  13. Just returned from dealer and the second attempt to do the update. Worked this time. Dealer told me he drove the car at 75 in EV. I was able to get up to 70 for awhile in EV on the way home. As predicted, lost the EV+ settings, but I started the car 11 times in the driveway to restore. Didn't notice too much difference on the trip home (about 12 miles), but got 47 mpg without trying except juicing the car up to 70ish to test things out a couple of times. We're going on a 700 mile drive to NJ on Sunday. Last time we made that trip up I-81 I got 42. Lots of hills, so to repeat the drive should be interesting with the new software. I'm looking forward to seeing what differences occur. Dealer also told me he had the stuff to do the headliner recall and I've made an appt. for that in August. I'll report on my trip results.
  14. Well, whatever...I'm going down later this morning to get flashed again...Hopefully they've got the right files in their laptops now.
  15. I'm in the mountains here in Western NC and my Cmax handles hills with ease. You wouldn't get the highest mpg with constant mtn driving, but it is plenty peppy when you need to climb. For example, I often enter the interstate going up hill and have to merge with traffic in a hurry...no problemo.
  16. Thank Jeff for doing these. I've pay paled you payment and my address. Marty
  17. I think it's the car moaning about needing the PCM update and it feels neglected... :baby:
  18. Well, no dirty pictures foto and maybe a bit more excitement Golfer...the flash didn't take. I drove home, put it up to 70 on the interstate and let the gas off...no EV until 62, just like before. So I called and they're going to check their laptops and make sure they have the right software and call me back. Maybe reflash (isn't that what Weiner did?) later today.
  19. Stopped in at Asheville Ford to ask about some things including thT PCM update and be said if you've got a few minutes , we'll do it now. I'll report on results.
  20. I'll ask the dealer. Not very optomistic.
