Was happy to hear this the other day on the news. Audi cars have great infotainment systems. Wish I could afford an A6 or S5 ;) It would be great if current vehicles could be updated. If not it might put off the " soon to be buyers" from getting a new CMax right now (like my wife and I are waiting). Any idea when this will take effect and when is the cut-in date for the vehicles they add it to? Hope we don't have to wait for the 2015 CMax to get this. Would hate to be left hanging with no support on the ousted Sync system. It would be like "nice knowing you ...you are on your own now....good luck".

Audi headlights/DROps are the best.those are gorgeous things of beauty. I doubt they will add a titanium version of the C-max. Makes sense of the FFH but not for the Cmax.

Funny you should ask this question today as I was just thinking about this topic of resale value on the C-Max just today and was going to pull up a search on it once I got home. Not sure but it might be because it's so new and not enough data points yet or maybe because it's a hybrid which does have a limited life sure to the battery technology in the car. (Like a rechargeable battery in your iPod or cell phone that doesn't last forever and will need to be replaced one day.

You forgot to mention what trim level you have (SE or SEL) and what option package you have (201, 202, 203, 301, 302, 303) since its not shown in your signature at the left. Nice to hear you like it after a great year. I guess.I can understand feeling a little UNDERwhelmed coming from a car that did great 38+ mpg. For many coming from a car doing anywhere from 16 to 26 avg mpg, I would think it would be a MUCH bigger satisfaction level. Continued success to you. What?? @@@###Longer###@@@ antenna??? Are they crazy??? that fishing pole is already too long. I still don't understand why those old tech antennas aren't banned/outlawed by now. Every car has GPS even if it doesn't have a nav display and so no need to use those old 50s pole style antennas. ????? Just boggles the mind. This will be mod #1 on our max one we get it, that is for sure.

If you special ordered the vehicle are they going to honor the rebate since doesn't it say "...from dealer stock..."??? Better check with your dealer for sure. You should have worked out those details before signing the contract so there are no surprises.

They can't set up both x-missions the same since they need to counter balance the extra weight of the much heavier Energi battery pack. That's why it needs to have more torque/different gear ratio. I'm sure they can tweak it in software.

I agree they should have under posted for 2013 and over achieved... that would have given them a huge edge over the Prius.but since everyone is a numbers person they felt they had to beat them on paper not in real world. It hurt them in bad press and word of mouth. Let's hope 2014 is better for the cmax but I fear the hype of the new tech has worn off and the bad press will take some air out of their campaign. Right now the new c-max commercials are taking about how it's more powerful than the Prius not how it's more fuel efficient.

Still no hybrid cmaxes in inventory near me.only energies. I saw a brand new candy blue (looked aquamarine to me) energi on the way to work yesterday right in front of me. No plates yet. The new blue looks different (more toyish) than last year's blue at least on my eyes.was a bright sunny day so not sure if that was part of it

If the cmax computer hasn't been tweaked to adjust for any add ons you put or oil change then they will be moot since its not set up that way in the first place. It's not just hardware folks, it's a system that has to work together. If they could do it cheaply for the 2013s to help avoid negative feedback / tattoos, don't you think they would?

Yes it will probably be more like $2-3000 added cost on Sep due to the r&d recoup costs associated with any new project like this. And until a LOT of folks buy it. They should also hook it up to a fan so the interior stays cool in the outside hot sun like they did with the Toyota solar panel on the Prius, which didn't sell well at all due to its limited functuality. Don't forget the cmax energi is already a niche car with not a huge sales volume. We shall see but I agree it's more myth than reality until solar is more efficient and cheaper. Good that Ford is trying to take the lead in a new tech path/vision though.California and Arizona and Florida will be perfect markets to test this out.

agreed. brand new model = asking for trouble. even though a lot of the car is built by robots, a lot is put together by humans and with Sssooooooo many OEM suppliers involved in making a car and supplying all those parts, there is always a chance of a tolerance issue. you can't imagine how many drawing chances happen when you do a first production run.so many variables. just like software.nothing in manufacturing is ever perfect. salsaguy, CQE Certified Quality Engineer

good luck with not mixing them up or driving of on the wrong one. the non tint on the one wont last long. it's a must have item. congrats. in sure the NRGs are really bad sellers due to the lack of rear cargo space, so that turned off a lot of folks and now they have extra ones just sitting on the lot not selling and need to deep discount them to not lose their shirts.

did you have the TSB all applied for better winter mileage? if so that should help a bit. hope you have fun. don't worry about mileage to much. drive safe. Happy Holidays.
