  1. I was surprised how well MADMAX did and it was FUN! :) Paul
  2. They were replacing all transmissions, but I'm not sure now, they maybe rebuilding now at the factory. :headscratch: Paul
  3. Just turned 205k and still LOVE MADMAX. :) :yahoo: Also Life Time just went up to 50.0MPG. :yahoo: Paul
  4. Here is what I have with 77k miles on my OEM tires. I have 3/32 to 4/32 from inside to outside on fronts and 4/32 to 5/32nd's on rears. This is with 50 psi and cross rotating every oil change. BTW I saw a video that it is best to have your thickest tread on the back of car for cornering in heavy rain conditions. I just got back from trip with heavy rain conditions and MADMAX did fine with marginal tread. :) Paul
  5. I would try a good fuel injector cleaner to start with, cheap and easy to do. It will take probably half to full tank to solve that problem. :) Paul
  6. I haven't drag raced MADMAX in along time, but today a F150 2015 or earlier V8 tried to pass me on the right from a stop at a light. I was doing my usual EV to 15 mph then ICE to 55mph. Apparently he thought being an Hybrid I would be easy to pass, WRONG :) He got about a half a car length ahead of me by the time I floured MADMAX , I caught him quickly so he floured it and we went door handle to door handle to 60 mph. He had to slam on his brakes to keep from hitting a car in front of him and I moved over to the left turn lane, he gave me a thumbs up which I returned. :) I can't get over how FUN this car is to drive. :yahoo: Paul
  7. I'm guessing you are right, it would be difficult to get all the oil out. :) Paul
  8. The bottom line is I have 201k miles on MADMAX with 52% EV and I'm getting better gas mileage than I did when it was new. It looks like the HVB will last longer than the car, I am unaware of anyone replacing a HVB. :) Paul
  9. That could be another ten years for your CMAX. :) Paul
  10. If you put it in neutral when you are rolling around it should go away. :) Paul
  11. I don't see a problem here, they are going to replace it and you will have a brand new trans, that's a good thing. :) I think I drove 1k miles will it was making noise. I don't think anyone has stopped with a broken trans. I have 104k mi. on my brand new trans and no problems yet. :) Paul
  12. That makes sense, smaller ICE is more efficient Paul.
  13. Interesting. :headscratch: Same tires, Tire pressure? Paul
  14. And the amazing thing is it is the best car I have ever own, I always got rid of my past vehicles by 100k or less and I have 201k mi. so $28k divided in 2 = $14k/100k mi. It's been along time since I have spent that little on car and it keeps getting cheaper as the miles go up. :) :yahoo: Paul
  15. I also noticed this and I think if the trans pump ran all the time the TFT would be lower. My temps are higher partially caused from having higher EV % which means the Trans Pump is running less of the time. :) Paul
  16. About 35k mi./yr. good thing I like driving the car. :) Paul
  17. I think 194*F is the highest with Grill Cover on, If you don't have Grill Covers I can't see where TFT would get above maybe 170-180*F without them. If It did I would start wondering if there was a problem. :) Paul
  18. I can't see any reason to check level unless it's leaking fluid, that is the only way it could go down. I have 102k mi. on new trans and it's working great. I do monitor trans fluid temp with ScanGaugeII. :) Change it at 150k mi. Paul
  19. Had it happen a couple of times when the car was young :) . At 200k MADMAX still doesn't use much oil so I haven't worried about it. Probably a little oil in throttle body getting sucked through. :) Paul
  20. I just did it with 200k miles on ODO and I wouldn't replace plugs unless you thought there was a problem like ICE not running smoothly. My plugs actually looked pretty good and the gap was still .050". The ICE is running smooth though, but I haven't had high WT and uphill accelerating to see if the problem shows up for sure. :headscratch: Paul
