  1. With 188495 mi. I have 97027 EV miles with Lifetime avg of 49.5 mpg. That works out to 51.5% EV miles. I can add your Lifetime numbers to my Lifetime Score list thread. http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/4044-post-your-life-time-mpgs-total-mi-ev-mi-regen-mi-and-brake-score/page-1 :) Paul
  2. Do your self a favor and watch my videos, they explain how the engineers designed the CMAX to be driven. Paul
  3. How long have you had your CMAX? How many miles? What tires do you have on the car now? You obviously haven't looked at my videos or you would be getting better MPG's. What is coast and brake driving anyways, never heard of it. :headscratch: Paul
  4. They are definitely better in rain and snow new, but don't corner as good, more sliding. I don't remember a noticeable change in ride quality, but much quieter. :) I didn't see much of a change in MPG's. Paul
  5. It's bigger in the trunk area which is fine, but big hit in HWY MPG, the best I was getting was 32mpg with my 2010, was getting upto 42 around town. As compared with 55mpg CITY/ 50mpg HWY for MADMAX. Paul
  6. And it doesn't look like they have a real replacement either. From FORD Site: Mar 15, 2018 Ford Hybrid Vehicles Part of Ford’s new strategy includes going all-in on hybrids to bring more capability to customers of our most popular and high-volume vehicles like F-150, Mustang, Explorer, Escape and Bronco – and serve as a hedge for customers against higher gas prices. No mention of the Focus Hybrid/Electric either. :headscratch: Paul
  7. I like the 2013 best because of the Smart Gauge has the best info including LifeTime score. :) Paul
  8. I'm sorry you are having problems with your 5 yr, old CMAX, but a vast majority CMAX owners LOVE their CMAX's and don't have the problems you do. It would appear you aren't being completely honest with us. 1. Heather Nabb tried to contact you several times and I don't see her saying anything negative about the car according to the letter. 2. I think it would be safe to say that 99% CMAX owners have never replaced their brake pads, I have 186k mi. on mine and they look pretty new. 3. Checked Forum Tire and Wheel threads and didn't see any Threads complaining about short tire life. It is recommended that you have your car's alignment checked if you are having wear problems and when you put new ones on your car. I'm at 65k mi. now so I'll get 80k mi. on my third set. 4. Most CMAX Owners 12v batteries haven't been replaced their batteries yet. 5. I had a ESP warranty for 132k mi. which covered any repairs I needed to have done including having the Trans replaced. Bottom line is that there isn't another Hybrid out there that is FUN to drive, has the room and gets good to great MPG's, I'm averaging 52mpg for the last two years and even the Fuelly average is around 39 mpg. :) Showing if you work at it you can do so much more than EPA MPG's. :yahoo: Paul
  9. What kind of differences are you looking for? :headscratch: I hope they cross rotated your old tire to minimized the noise issue. :) Paul
  10. Interesting my daughter's last fillup got 39.3 mpg and I'm averaging 52 mpg for the last couple of years in my 2013 CMAX SEL. :headscratch: You might want to look at my YouTube videos to learn how to drive a CMAX and get great MPG's. http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/6568-how-to-drive-a-cmax-hybridffh-to-get-great-gas-mileage/page-1 Paul
  11. Here is the Main Thread for the Grill Covers making and testing them. http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/970-cmax-grill-cover-testing-2-5-mpg-gain/page-1 If you can't do it yourself I do sell them for $100US, not sure how much extra it cost to mail to Canada. You can PM me for details. Here are pics using packaging and carpet tape. My covers are LEXAN. :) The wheel covers are a challenge to attach to the wheels. I machined aluminum plugs with 1/4x20 threaded hole in center to go on the inside of the wheels and glued them in with silicon rubber . Then used 1 3/4" 1/4"x 20 thread machine screwed into plug through 1/4" fender washer, 3/16" x 18 1/4" LEXAN Plastic cover and 1/2" Nylon bushing. Also put Nylon 1/4" x 20- 1 1/2" screw about 1 1/2" from edge through LEXAN to keep cover from spinning. :) Paul
  12. If that is OK with you, Fine but you don't have too. :) I thought you had seen My How to get Great Gas Mileage Videos, the worst FE this Winter for me has been 44.6 mpg with low temps, head winds and climb in elevation and averaged 49.7 mpg for the last 10 fillups. Think Grill Covers. :) Paul
  13. It is interesting that I've never had this problem in 5 and half years. :headscratch: Paul
  14. I figure I get 25 miles more with Premium, I try to get it at BJ's or Sam's to cut down on the difference in cost over Regular. I regularly get around 700 miles on a tank or 52mpg. :) Paul
  15. I used Goodyear FuelMax on my Focus and they really improved my MPG's over Perelli P6, but they didn't handle as good. In the Tire Rack Prius test FuelMax were down about 2 MPG from Michelin Energi Savers. I think Michelin's are cheaper because they last longer and get better MPG's. :) And again I would recommend 50 psi tire pressure for the Michelin's, because they wear evenly and the Michelin Help Line agreed with that. Paul
  16. I just took off my tires to cross rotate and this is what they look like with 63k mi. on them. About 6/32" outside and 5/32" inside. Center was about 5.5/32", went through some rain storms last week and they did fine. I don't think I will have any trouble getting 80K im. :) BTW wheels are made in China. BTW I use 50 psi in the tires. Paul
  17. I was disappointed when I put BridgestoneEcopia EP422 Plus tires my wife's 2013 ECOBoost 2liter 4cyl Explorer and they didn't improve her MPG's. They were more money than OEM tires. Don't know about the noise issue yet, but if you cross rotate the Michelin's every 10k mi. it will help their noise problems also looks like I'm going to get 80K mi. on my third set. Atleast for me the noise problem is in the 25-35 mph range, not bad on the FWY. :) Paul
  18. I went to Deltona, FL and back yesterday (930mi., 14.5hrs. temps 34*F to 73*F) got 50.2 mpg at the pump(Fuelly.com average) and still averaged 60mph with some stop and go FWY traffic., most of the time 70+mph. I just love to drive this car. :) YouTube views are up to almost 6k now and it seems that alot people are buying used CMAX's. :yahoo: Paul
  19. There really wasn't that much stuff down there and I wouldn't want to restrict any air flow, it does get pretty hot for the HVB which isn't good for it. Paul
  20. I think I figured it out, had some milk bottle leak in the back and went down the back covers to metal floor at which point it went from side to side and dried up. When it warms up back their the HVB fan blows the odor all around. I will see if cleaning it up fixes the problem. I did get to the point where I could have removed the HVB after 4 hrs of tearing the back apart, what a big job. :drop: Paul
  21. What kind of gas mileage are you getting? When I had the trans issue it made a more grinding higher pitched sound, interesting the noise goes away when letting off the gas. :headscratch: Paul
  22. The DC to DC converter is located at top right center of ICE compartment. Also the orange tubing is right next to it, pics are from MADMAX in the process of being repaired after hitting deer at the end of 2013. Needless to say CMAX turned into MADMAX. :rant2: Paul
  23. I just heard that all sedan sales are down across the board because consumers are buying SUV's instead with low gas prices and I'm sure FE is also getting better too. Paul
  24. The Hybrid stuff is covered including trans for 8yrs/100k miles and you can transfer the Warranty and even extend it. :) Paul
  25. Did you try the fordcmaxenergiforum.com? Paul
