I've experienced this as well. I'm thinking it has to do with the temp: when it's warmer, and the AC is turned on, it seems to start creaking a little.

Depending on my daily commute, which varies, I'm able to go two to three weeks on a tank -- that's about $100 a month, instead of $200+. Not a bad "upgrade".

I remember (oh so many years ago) climbing the Conejo grade from Camarillo in my trusty Datsun 510. The temp gauge was usually in the red half way up -- had to pray that I'd get to the top before it exploded. Tough on MPG for sure!

I don't have the auto liftgate, but there are threads on this forum talking about this issue. Many people find that "kicking" twice will open the gate. Is this true for you?

Welcome to the forum! I've had my C-Max about a month less than you. My usual route to work and back is about 20 miles, and I'm averaging about 2 fillups a month -- much better than my one a week previously.

I leased an SEL (300a) for 3 years: $3500 down, $305ish/mo, plus tax and interior protection package. Total, $355/mo.

My dealer had a "new owner" seminar (all ford models). I wasn't able to attend the first time, but went to the second one I was invited to. At one point, they took all of us new owners out to the service bay, where they had one example of each model all lined up. Owners then went to the model they had purchased for more individualized info from one of the service personnel. The service tech next to the C-Max, when asked, said that since the first oil change suggested in the manual is 10000, but the first tire rotation is at 5000, we should consider taking it in at 7500 for both, to save a trip. He said that unless there was some problem related to the oil (or tires), that this should be sufficient timing for each of these services.

Rachel, make sure you are touching the small black square in the handle when you swipe or touch. Make sure your hands are not grabbing (circling) the handle when doing this (trying to lock/unlock at the same time). The only time i've had troubles is when my door is not completely closed -- it won't lock.
