62 TODAY (August 5th)

Got a letter from Ford for Customer Satisfaction Program 15B04. Stating that it was possible for my CMax to become discharged overnight after the vehicle was parked for a short period of time. Which results in a no-start condition. Anyone else get this? and had it done? Says Ford will check the 12v battery an replace if necessary. I've never had a single problem with a dead battery since purchase in September of 2012, don't want to start now if they change out my battery. I have experienced several occasions when I get in Maxus in the morning and the battery indicator is completely drained and the ICE immediately turns on after pushing the start buton. Not sure if that is what Ford is reffering to?

Maxus has 41,100+ miles and still the factory installed filter. Do I win the mileage award for longest used filter?
-
With a little more than 41,000 miles on the factory tires I had to get a flat fixed. Came out in the garage and noticed Maxus was leaning a bit on the drivers side. Turns the out the left rear was completely flat. This blew me away since only a week ago my wifes car also had a left rear flat. So did business with Wheel Works twice in a week. My wifes car had a roofing nail in the tread, but Maxus had a broken off 3/8" drill bit the tread. Crazy or what? But for Maxus they didn't charge me anything so that was cool. Maybe they knew I bought a set of new tires for the´wifes car? :hi5:

Was wondering how many of the owners who have had little or no trouble with your CMax, purchased it early in the first year of production. Maxus was delivered in September of 2012, to date I have had no real issues other than MFT going whacko a couple times. No battery issues. Did have the front left turn signal bulb burn out, but that is the only real problem. I attribute the "no battery issues" to the fact that Maxus didn't sit on the lot for any length of time. I bought her day they drove her off the transport truck. Also she is an SEL, seems more SE's are plagued with problems or so I think.

does anyone know if there is a vendor which makes a molded cargo floor mat which can cover the entire floor area even with the rear seats folded down?

ICE will be around for a very long time. It's not going anywhere. Won't much matter when there's no breathable air left due to pollution from the ICE. My third negative remark tonight I'm in a bad mood.

Thank god for lane splitting in CA Lane splitting for motorcycles should be outlawed in all states, why should they be allowed to pass through in traffic. BS I hear is because they are air cooled and can't sit in traffic. Too Damn bad I say. First thing that would change if I was in a decision making position.

where was Ford's head when they decided to put the filter in it's location? :swear:

Speaking as a resident of the SillyCorn Valley since 1966 the land values haven't changed much so far. House comps in my neighborhood are still hovering in the $500-800k range depending on location in the valley and upgrades. Might be able to pickup a fixer upper in the $300-500k range. Not sure about the present stand the Gov has for the farmers but they are going to be getting less water for their crops than they did last year. This will have an effect on most of the veggies and fruit all across the country since a good portion of produce comes from California. Find Cali some water and things might not be so bad. I'm calling the water patrol on my neighbors who continue to waste water on their expensive lawns and plants. Brown is the new Green. My front yard is dead so should be everyone else's.

Cracked Windshield - Bluetooth or non Bluetooth replacement

North Central Cali rainy season this year was about 2 inches worth where I live, hardly worth the effort of the blades turning themselves on to strip away the rain. -
Buy New 2014 SE or low mileage 2013 SEL

No contest, get the SEL so much better than the SE. -

Huh never heard of a bluetooth friendly windshield, sorry can't help you. -
I'm not an Audi fan but that supercar model (not sure what is is called) is really a looker when I see one on the streets. But for what it costs I could have multiple CMax :happy feet:

I'm very happy with the stock Michelins. Wearing well with 37k and not too noisy.

Yup still trying to make it into the 700 mile club but that is a lofty goal for Maxus to do with my current knowledge of what it takes to get that kind of MPG.

Paul my Fuelly account pretty much tells it all for Maxus and me over the last 3 years and 36,571 miles. Nice to hear from Brother Jus again, been awhile -
Welcome Lukkydog, we all pretty much share in your joy for your CMax. I had two GMC trucks before buying Maxus. Which completely changed my driving style. I went from being a speed demon and always risking speeding tickets while burning more gas consantantly. My friends see a total turnabout from me through Maxus. I pretty much never exceed the posted speed these last 3 years so I can get the most from every gallon of gas. Maxus certainly has made me a better and safer driver. Enjoy your ride. P.S. I'm in the Centeral Coast of CA as well. Lost in the SillyCorn Valley since 1965.

Now thats what I've been wanting. Very nice looking wheels and tires.

47.1 mpg I've been getting that all winter. Oh yes the difference between east and west coasts, sorry I had to say it :happy feet: -
used to do allot of that Brother Jus, but have cut consumption back to only when out on the town with the wife or out with friends. I'm a sucker for a pint of red ale.

Good news to know, but as long as I'm covered Ford does my oil changes. I don't even know where or how to get to the oil filter or drain plug on Maxus.
