  1. Glad you have a warranty as well, sorry for the break down.
  2. Attached are two pictures I took of the last tank of gas which I just finished on Friday. Was about 60% highway as posted to Fuelly.com. Wasn't my best tank but as things go for me it is an average tank and least it finished just over 500 miles. Could of been better but par for the course with my CMax and my driving abilities. I can only hope things will improve on this next tank. Braking scores are still killing me. I get 3 or 4 100% in a row and an 85% comes along.
  3. Actually the red calipers are a cover I bought from http://www.calipercovers.com/, great product but not without a price. Definitely an improvement to the looks of the stock factory caliper. You have to decide whether the look is right for your pocketbook?
  4. Go for it 11StiLimited, Its a matter of opinion but I think it looks pretty good on a Platinum White CMax. Don't forget I Plasti-Diped the large grille opening all black never liked those chrome horizontal lines across the grille. Also I Plasti-Diped the Hybrid logo's on both front doors as well as logo's on the tailgate.
  5. It serves no other purpose but to look stealthy. And yes they can still be seen in both day and night only slightly muted or dimmer than before. I've always thought the factory lights were too bright. It is a mod which has become popular with the 30something crowd. Guess I'm trying to be 30 years younger? Street Racer look, black out everything that is too shiny, chrome or bright. That's why I painted my wheels black with Plasti-Dip
  6. Welcome KansasCMAX glad to have you with us. I agree with your remarks about what attracted you to the CMax. The thing I really noticed on a recent road trip on the pacific coast highway 1 is how well the steering responses to quick left/right maneuvering through tight turns like I encountered following the California coastline on my way to cross the Golden Gate Bridge. The car handled very well and when I had to stab the brakes to cut down some speed, the car handled it very well. Despite the weight factor of the CMax. No I think my CMax will be with me for a long time. About the only thing I can foresee is upgrading to a future CMax if designs are improved to my liking.
  7. Tire Air Deflectors? Are we referring to those cheap black rubber/Plastic things hanging down in front the the front tires? If so I was already considering a replacement that I would fabricate, probably with thick rubber or neoprene I can buy from a home supply chain locally.
  8. Welcome dutchsher and nearby resident of Dixon, Ca. If Etis is not giving you enough info, answer this. Does your MFT home screen show a picture of a CMax and show the power flow diagram? If so then you have the latest software upgrade 3.5.1 On Etis it will tell you the exact build date of the car. This is how I found out mine was built on 9/9/12. Hope this is helpful?
  9. Excuuuuuuse Meeee, just kidding I know my struggles are well known and documented, making me not the best test bed. But I still think GasPods are working and helping.
  10. Guys In defense of the GasPods, I will say they have cleaned up the rear air flow behind Maxus to some extent I know this because I gave Maxus a complete exterior washing and detailing over last weekend. Before GasPods my rear bumper and rear fenders behind the rear wheels openings would be covered in a fine black dust in short order after driving even a few miles. I racked up 40 miles and the dusting is at a minimum, much less than before GasPods. So I feel the air flow over the roof is better flowing and reducing the turbulence from behind Maxus. Once I can design and build my rear air splitter prototype, I hope that even more improvement will be seen by further cleaning the air from under Maxus and hopefully making some downforce on all four corners at the same time.
  11. -Hi nice to hear from another WP CMax. I know what you mean about getting it's first scrape. I made the poor decision to rub my right front fender into the edge of my work bench in the garage which left me with a 4 inch crease in the sheet metal and further down the fender it caused a stress ripple which is really noticeable when the light hits it just right. It is pretty much not possible to touch up our tri-color paint job, have to reshoot the affected portion unfortunately. However that one product demo video from scratchwizard does look promising as a possible cure for light scraps. The things we do to our toys :drop:
  12. Pretty much the way I plan on dealing with this. If I get something then great will help pay some bills. Bought mine in September of 2012, window sticker clearly states 47/47/47
  13. HananahWCU I think your right, only performance mined drivers might not mind a series of 9 bumps running across their roofline. So if the factory adopts something similar but more appealing to the common non performance driver, that would be good. First time I saw these on a Subaru Turbo, I wanted some. Suzanne happen to deliver them before I could design and make my own. For which I'm very grateful and feel they are worth every cent of what I paid.
  14. Boy we have skeptics, just kidding don't send me hate mail. I just know that something has caused my numbers to improve and stabilize and I can't say it was just the software upgrade. But in light of the recent posts about better stabilized numbers. I bought my latest tank on Wednesday , drove it for a few days without resetting the fuel history which was reading 43.3 - 44.5. On Friday I reset it and almost immediately the numbers started to climb as the computer relearned which I expected. I got as high as 45.0 and then it started dropping without me changing anything in my driving style. Right now I'm struggling to keep it above 40AvgMPG. Keeps falling down to 37 and works back up to 39.9 - 40.1 only to drop back into the 30's again after I startup from a traffic light. Seems the numbers are sucking again? I give up. :gaah:
  15. So many CMax in the sillycorn valley, I've lost count. But I had the first Platinum White according to dealer sale records.

Great picture, love the backdrop, ah! Washington State no place quite like it. I call it the Pacific Coast New England
  18. Same here from myself and Maxus who will be 1 year old next month on the 9th. Happy Birthday! :clapping:
  19. I'll go for the aero mods if Ford offers them to '13 owners. I know this has probably been defined somewhere in another post, but want are the changes to aerodynamics in 2014? Curious.
  20. LizM, I just remembered that I always reset my fuel history at fillup which reflects on the main empower screen which I use most of the time. However the tank I just bought on Thursday I did not reset the fuel history since it was showing a decent number 43.3 which I stayed true to for the last week, and is a first for my CMax since the upgrade and adding my GasPods. Normally when I do reset the fuel history the numbers start to increase within a few miles as the computer relearns. Just about always in short order I achieved numbers reaching 45, 48, and beyond into the mid 50's, but they never stayed that high. They always fell back into low 40's and before the last software upgrade my numbers would fall below 39 and usually stay below 40 for the rest of the tank. Until I was able to maintain 40 or better, I never could reach a 500 mile tank. I wish you much success in reaching that lofty goal. I think to date I've had a tank as high as 560_something. That is my personal best.
