  1. Enjoy.... First look - Ken Block's Gymkhana Six This is a sic, sic, sic :shift:
  2. Woah...thats news...sorry to hear about this hybridbear. Oh man, that suxs...hope they fix it soon, I think our 04 Jaguar spent like several months in the shop for its life so I can understand your frustration. Keep us up to date, please.
  3. If the mods did that, then it would be considered censorship. Right now I see no need to lock anything otherwise wab and Frank could not have replied and I would rather see this thread naturally expire like any other thread. In regard to Mr Banned Burke, I certainly issued the warning point with no banzor action and this morning, site admin had him banned. Perhaps something came up in the IP check, I dunno. Carry on...or should I now say see-saw on.... Is it me or isn't it rather delusional to use MPGe because it produces a somewhat higher number? C'mon as much as the CMax has the EV motor, it ain't the primary motor like in a Volt and MPG seems more appropriate. Jus my 2c.
  4. Robert Burke - Cut out the cussing, no one censored you till you cussed out.You have been warned.
  5. Gotcha...thxs. Now...erh...can someone explain to me what :airquote: see-saw is...I know nothing about getting better milage. Help! :twister:
  6. Interesting. All the eco does is to slow the acceleration when compared to the standard cruise and I believe, it also does not strictly adhere to the set speed and allows some variations/fluctuations. I wonder if this is similar to how, in my City driving, a 2 bar acceleration is more FE than a slow 1 bar acceleration by burning the least gas to get to my speed.
  7. Those Caravans are the worse, much more so than any Beemer. They drive those like they don't know the rules or they are practically falling apart on the road. *sigh*
  8. Great question. I did a thread on the Irvine Pow-Wow but I'll recap this for you. I received an email survey from Ford just after I purchased the car, that was in Dec 2012. The survey asked about everything on the CMax, what you thought, strengths, weakness, issues - didn't think much of it and then some of us in CA got a letter from the RD Group(?) asking if we wanted to come meet the engineers in Irvine. Silly, of course we did!
  9. Sorry Brother Mike, didn't mean to scare yer. Its my way to flag I am down but when I get my car up, Mr.Scott may be back... ;) And yes, be paranoid, always look for a safe way out. I am starting to do that out of habit now. I was like you, oblivious to the dangers of rear end and ALWAYS leave more room than you think before the car in front.
  10. BigA - right now, this is a flow-on from Irvine. I gave them a printed package with all the mileage, issues when I met the engineers and contact information and also completed their survey at that time.
  11. Holy crap...this morning I jus got an email from Ford Motor asking additional questions about a response I had filled in back in Feb @ the Irvine Pow-Wow. This is in regards to the negative split mode like executing at 25-35 due to the SOC just after the initial startup. Wow..no one can say they are NOT listening. Gonna write it up at work and send it tonight....folk, BIG PAPA is listening and asking questions!!!!
  12. Yeah gonna let Robert Lane know, its a admin job unfortunately.
  13. Welcome to the forum Robert Lane, suggest you spend some time in the Fuel Mileage & Hybrid driving tips section where many CMax drivers have put a lot of time and research to find the sweet spot without having to be a safety hazard on the freeway (65+ mph speed limit) doing 50-55 per your post. Most of us who do freeway stay around the 60-65 if we are p&g or we simply use eco with the :airquote: blip when the soc is high enuf that utilizes the negative split mode. There's many ways to skin this fish..but she's a beaut for sure :)
  14. :redcard: Now, now fellas. We're all helping Tehuti here and not get into another :airquote: tizzy-over-Lizzy... Yep, I jus about check it once a month. Definitely before my Mammoth trips. Speaking of which - whats the go with the tire pressure at full load guys. Back off a wee bit of keep it the same? Yes, i am lazy...so humor a guy who doesn't have his car back yet :gaah:
  15. Yeah, the "lagging" is called rubber banding, it was not acceptable and especially in the complex freeway intersection - GOOD LUCK at finding where you're at. Suggest you take a picture of it, show your Ford SA and have Ford replace the GPS module. Software updates do diddly squat. I swear theres a bunch of bad GPS out there. Ha...funny AE and I posted at a similar time - back then he jus had his done and I did mine after. Both of us are very happy with the fix :)
  16. Thats a great tip drdiesel, I do too 46psi according to my reader.
  17. Nope, you're not broken in yet. Matt and I have shown the break-in continues to above 10,000 and even pushing to 15,000. Not sure of your route but simple Pulse and Glide can save you more gas and even simple things like on a down slope, utilizing "jus-enuf" EV to maintain speed will help greatly. When I did > 50% freeway driving, I would average 53MPGs. Keep at it and no, you don't need to go to "super hypermiling" either. Also sometimes tweaking your route a wee bit can help as well.
  18. ,...thats the thing, he proclaim he has and LAPD wrote down the insurance number but it was some carrier I have not heard of before. I am covered nonetheless with the uninsured endorsement, jus in case. Is that a split screen rear AND a HUD? Nice....now all it needs is a capucino machine in there, and I am set.
  19. Holy crap AS, whatta car! Congratz! ps it was a Beemer that took me out, don't drive like that lunatic ;)
  20. Salman - cease the shouting please. Gives me a headache to read it, and cut out the snide remarks to the Doc jus as he's to cut out any snide remarks to anyone else, K? Thank you. Carry on.... :dogwalk:
  21. Frank, thanks for the pics...its on my to-do list when Maxine comes home. Nice!
  22. ...might be time to see The Chech ;)
  23. Try going up Chair 23 to the peak of Mammoth Mountain when its already below zero and add in some HOT (not) wind chill factor to push it into the negative teens and colder...and I do this for :airquote: fun. Like to go to the snow but won't live there. I do not envy those who live in the north east when those storms barrel thru....or those who live in AK with a CMax ala Don
  24. I luv it!!!!! Thanks for sharing. ..custom built too..even more awesome :)
