That only happens if you have the factory installed remote start, not w/ the Ford OEM accessory add-on. Only if you had the option. I did not have the option when I built the car. On the order form I filled out, it was an accessory add-on by the dealer. In addition the first printing of the manual states built-in factory remote start is an energi only item. So some people had the option available to them some didn't. I should mention I haven't had any problems with my remote start either.

So why doesn't the door jam say 50? Just because of ride comfort? I would just say, after you've rear-ended someone, forever more you want every inch of stopping power you can get, because it can make the difference between an accident and a close-call.

You said Michelin traded off tire traction already. My understanding is over-inflating tires also lowers your traction. So I'm saying I'm not going to make it worse by over-inflating.

Which is personally why i will never have more than the factory recommended tire pressure.

Where are you seeing the term Smart Key? Keyless entry is the keycode on the outside door (standard for many Ford vehicles, add-on for C-Max) so I did misspeak about that. I think the correct term is Intelligent Access Entry. I have Intelligent Access, with a type 1 fob (as seen in the User manual). The folks with factory remote start have a type 2 fob. In the first printing of the manual this was listed: Remote Start (C-MAX Energi Only). Apparently they have made changes. Mine was built and received in Nov of 2012.

IMO, factory isn't superior. Mine will go up to 1000 ft and is bi-directional, so will tell you that the car was actually in range and received the signal. It is the Ford system too, not 3rd party. I'm curious as to when Ford did this. I have the keyless entry w/ push button start, but only have the 3 buttons on my Fob (lock, unlock, liftgate). There doesn't appear to be a way to configure the car w/ factory remote start on the website (from what I can find).

JohnnOhio I'm assuming you have none of these. The ones integrated from the factory usually have the antennas completely hidden.

Which is why I'm so confused, lol. This is the first I've heard of a non-Energi having built-in remote start from the factory.

I used Dr. Colorchip on my Ruby Red (also tri-color I think) and was pleased with the results.

Is the remote start a separate fob? If it is, it's a dealer add-on. Unless something changed (my car is one year old), the normal hybrid did not come with built-in remote start. Remote start was an option on the order sheet from the factory, but the dealer still installed it when they got the car. I'd be surprised if they changed this mid-model year, but they could have.

I think the middle hybrid display is good for finding this out. Sometimes I"ve been surprised by the engine on due to climate settings being displayed when I didn't realize that my climate settings required heat.

Only the Energi lets you adjust those settings, because the energi has bulit-in remote start. For the hybrid it's a Ford accessory. Unfortunately, I can't remember if you can adjust the delay or have the dealer do it.

I just took this picture today before filling up. :puppy_kiss: (No mods, not even extra tire pressure, do have the FE update though. Mostly freeway driving to/from work.) And I'm not as active on the forum as much as I used to be, but I did see your post about Maxine Jus, sorry dude. :sad:

Mine is always on Auto, never had this problem except for when I had my remote start changed out. They had to reprogram some stuff again when I got the new remote start and worked fine ever since.

Can't you push defrost and then push the A/C button to turn it off?

There should be radio buttons next to each option and then a Vote! button. You don't see that?

Yes, mine has been lost before because I drove through it instead of stopping. But, afaik, no one has done an analysis of how much EV+ actually contributes to AVG MPG anyways. I'm not convinced it's as useful in the C-Max compared to the C-Max Energi. There are other threads on the topic.
