  1. Am I missing something here? If it's held in w/ bolts, how does that jive w/ the caps statement? Bolts would not just magically come out.
  2. The battery is in the back by the High-Voltage battery. Anyways, I jumped my Explorer, didn't require any flooring of the engine for me, but I wouldn't call it d-e-a-d either. :)
  3. This is the only big gripe I have with my car. I've taken it to the dealer 4 times and they haven't fixed it yet. Last time, they adjusted the calibration of the close but it didn't fix it. It's going back next week.
  4. I had a similar problem. They applied the newest updates and it improved it but didn't fix it. Ford told them to replace the Navigation SD Card. So far, fingers crossed, I have not had any issues since.
  5. It is nice in the Ford Explorer when you have cooled seats and independent, left, right, and rear controls. Touchscreen can sometimes prevent information easier (due to contextual controls) instead of having a million physical buttons. In the C-Max, I always use the physical Climate controls.
  6. That's the spirit. Maybe if the C-Max came w/ a hockey stick? But seriously, if I recall you said that you see a lot of Prius's up there. It's strange the C-Max doesn't sell. Do you see any Ford Fusion Hybrid's or any Ford's at all? Maybe it's a Ford Brand prejudice?
  7. Google Now/Siri wouldn't work if they didn't have a server farm behind it. MFT doesn't have an always on internet connection.
  8. MFT is covered by a 5-year unlimited mile warranty.
  9. Because it's not a "non-working feature". It works just fine for most people. Perhaps its broken on your care.
  10. OR a misunderstanding of how the technology works. The C-Max Energi has a cell modem in it, so yes, in the Energi you can be tracked. The non-energi C-Max does not have a modem, so there is no way to be tracked.
  11. Remember all versions of Sync have navigation even if you don't buy the navigation package in MFT or even if you don't have MFT at all. It works with Sync Services. http://www.ford.com/technology/sync/packages/
  12. I'm saying the A3 and A4 card are not identical. There are updates, but that doesn't mean it's 100% accurate everywhere.
  13. The new card does have more up to date information, but if what you are seeing has been fixed in the new card who knows. I suppose someone w/ the updates could try to find a street or something on the map you are wondering about to see if it contains newer info for your area.
  14. I'm an engineer so that helps. But to make you feel better, I burn food, my birds would fly away, and I have a brown thumb, lol.
  15. Just for my due diligence, from the Owner's manual:
  16. I just got mine done on Monday. I've noticed 0 changes in driving style and sound. If your dealer says everything was successful, I would take it to a different dealer instead.
  17. The engine will turn in the C-Max w/o using fuel sometimes. Usually when the battery is fully charged.
  18. Why not just use Auto and lower the temp? Especially w/ the FE update, it seems to decrease compressor usage and increase fan usage compared to before.
  19. The Monroney label is the window sticker (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monroney_sticker). Probably there to reflect that the EPA MPG is dropping from 47. The dealer should be able to tell you what updates you need based on your VIN. BTW, 3.6.2 is the latest version of MFT, not 3.5.1.
  20. Says that for everyone. Must be website error.
  21. I can send and receive with my HTC One. The only issue is if I send, the message shows up as pending in my phone, eventhough it does indeed get sent. If i restart my phone all the pending messages go again. I think it's the phones fault.
  22. I disagree. I just think 1 bad person can bring your day down much more than 10 good people bring it up.
