It's an update that was released for MFT. Depending on when your car was born it may already have it. http://syncmyride.com/ to be sure. If you have outside temperature on the main MFT screen or a hybrid display on the main MFT screen, then you have it.

I was trying to say the opposite. MFT does not affect the rest of the car. MFT wanted to read values from the the power train system to display the Hybrid status. Just because the data wasn't formatted correctly or wasn't available to the MFT system doens't mean it was a bug in powertrain. They were adding a new feature.

It doesn't. The 3.5.1 update requires the Powertrain module to also be updated so the MFT screen can display the Hybrid status. Since it changes the Powertrain to "Latest Calibration" there could be other changes rolled in there compared to the version the car left the factory with. The different brake etc he is referring to could be the result of this Poswertrain update.

Have you tried w/ the C-Max? What brand? I've seen very mixed reviews on those things.

I like Safelite too, although crack's that big probably need a replacement. They file w/ insurance too.

I don't think you'd be able to get enough power. The Prius has a solar roof and they just run a fan air circulator (which I wouldn't mind)

I thought the Sony system sounded horrible when I first got it. But then I put in a USB drive w/ MP3's and was like nope, its just Sirius. They also dropped the only station I really listened to, so I just decided not to renew.

I wish I got WeatherTech instead of the Ford mats because Weathertech offers a liner that covers the entire backseat floor, not just 2 squares like the Ford OEM. I doubt the Energi has the A/C and other changes. If they did, why not just put them on the C-Max to begin w/?

I think Cruising is measuring speed only. The acceleration is measuring more of the consistency.

I've learned that from the new Hybrid display screen. Sometimes the Engine remains on but the Fuel stops flowing. Yes, Yes. August (at least from everything I've read)

It's the only way for the car to know where it is to designate a location as EV+.

It's possible there were tweaks but not a part of the Powertrain update that we got for MFT 3.5.1. Maybe it's only on newer cars. I haven't noticed any difference in FE since my MFT update.

That is what the Prius can do. I always wondered if it was useful and made a significant difference when parked in the sun all day, or if it was just a gimmick to make people feel better.

Now I understand why you blame the tint. I thought you were saying the sun was hitting the dashboard and then reflecting right into your eye. I'm assuming if you roll down the window the reflection goes away because the reflection is on the window and not the mirror?

I think the liftgate fix also improved the remote start. It used to be that I would have to try it a few times from my office to get the confirmation that it started. Now it works first time every time. I wonder if the same module that was asleep for the liftgate was also asleep for the remote start.

Because the "Performing System Maintenance" could be caused by a number of things. They are only saying if you see this, it may be your phonebook.

Right, the recirc symbol will only come on when you manually control it. If you set the Auto up to 85 degress ,the hot air comes out the floor, but the floor symbol does not turn on. In full auto mode, the system only shows ac/on or ac/off as an indication of what's going on. Probably the easiest way to tell is after your system has finished cooling down and the Climate usage is minimal, change from recirc to not manually w/o making any other adjustments. Recirc is generally louder.
