  1. Maxwell!! So good to hear from you again! I, too, am a former Jeep owner and love my C-MAX! I'm so glad things are going well for you. My mileage sucked in the winter, but I'm back up to a 47mpg tank again. I thought I'd miss the 4-wheel drive, but, no......Jelly got me around just fine this winter. Hope you have a wonderful summer...........in all ways!
  2. Ya know.....I'm always on the look-out for C-MAXes and today I saw 2.....both on Michigan Ave eastbound off of I-94. One was whatever the dark grey is and the other was an Ice Storm. I waved like a MANIAC at both of them but I may as well have been invisible! Are we (as in *us on this forum*) that unique that we are looking and *the others* (as in *those NOT on this forum*) not looking at all? Curious minds want to know!
  3. I know! I'm seeing such improvement even with temps in the high 40s!! Oh, wait, I said I wouldn't post anything about mileage vs temps.........sorry for the slip :victory:
  4. Good spotting Dave!!! Thanks for sharing!
  5. OK, you're in SDM!!! That's just so amazing to me! and so reassuring, after the winter we've had, that people are still achieving these MPGs! Truly amazing. Way to go! So sorry to have missed it the first time around.
  6. :rant2:  :swear: What!!! Like I said, I've not been around much. So sorry SDM! Can you send me the link to the post or resend. I'll try to get back on later today and do it.
  7. Thanks to WAB for bringing this to my attention. I've been MIA for most of the winter (long story) and I'll probably be MIA a bit longer, but I want to congratulate DavidWitham on this spectacular tank.............in the winter no less!!! Way to go! I'll get you updated right away!!!
  8. Henderson, I'm glad you are getting what you wanted to begin with. When I placed my order it was going to be 6 weeks minimum. I thought *piece of cake*....NOT! Almost as soon as the order was placed I started searching websites of dealerships near me to see if I could find one *close* to what I had ordered. I wanted the Instant Gratification! I am so happy that I waited for the car I ordered to arrive.......and you will be too! Can't wait to see the pictures!
  9. I know, right?! It was 40-something yesterday afternoon and I got 50.8 on my 17 mile trip home.
  10. Oh, I understand that the ads fund the site, and I'm fine with the ones at the top, but these took up an inch on each side, top to bottom of the screen, and you couldn't move them. They covered the member name and avatar and any part of the message to the far right. The good news is.....they seem to be gone this morning.
  11. the new ads creeping in on both sides of the screen! How can I get rid of those? It seems to have just started today. And you can't scroll left or right, or see the things they cover up. Color me annoyed!
  12. Yummmmmm, had the double bacon cheeseburgers tonite.....only problem was.........igniter on the grill failed.....then the grill failed......ended up using the *original* George Foreman grill! Not nearly as good.
  13. Oh, and look...you're out in the middle of a field too!
  14. Love it! He looks like he's ready to go! I'll bet you get a lot of comments when you're out.
  15. What a cool idea SDM!! Now we need pix of Slowpoke riding in it! Walk on!!
  16. Thanks Tdefny, I laughed when I read this because when I was taking the picture I thought *How deceptive....it looks like I just washed it, when really it's just from the freezing rain that melted and took some of the gunk away.* Oh, thanks Frank! I feel sooooooooo much better now! You guys are in the serious snow belt tho. I always cringe when I see the stuff leave us and head for you guys, cause I know it will pick up moisture over the lakes and be worse for you. FYI, we have at least 2 more coming thru this week......sigh.
  17. Dammit! I can't get Flickr to upload pix like it used to!!!

  19. Well, I have now driven my C-MAX every day during the snowiest month on record for Michigan. In January we received 39.1 inches of snow.....more like Duluth than Ann Arbor. I was way more worried about the other idiot drivers  than I was about driving Jelly! Traction control kept me on the straight and narrow when leaving stop signs/lights. :shift:Many times in the morning the road I take to work was not plowed. Sometimes I was the first car thru. No problems! :woohoo: Now, I know Jus is gonna say :needphotos: So I will try later today.
  20. Hi Mahomar, and welcome! Are you getting the snow there in VA? Enjoy reading everyone's experiences with their C-MAXs and ask questions where you need to. Good to have new *faces* here!
  21. Good luck to your wife in her surgery! I've read on CNN about the weather you folks are getting! Have safe travels, doodlebug! Give yourself plenty of time, as you would anyway, and you'll be fine.
  22. Hi BretJ, I can't say for sure that it's the same, but mine was sort of a learning curve......finding the right spot to press to get it to answer. When I first got my C-MAX in the fall of 2013, it seemed like I could NEVER answer the phone on the steering column. But over time, either I've gotten better at finding the right spot to press, or the car is *broken in* now. Either way, I can answer and hang up calls from the steering column now. I hope yours is the same, but I'd still probably have it looked at, the next time you're by your dealership. Mine offered a free hour tutorial, so if yours does the same, that might be a good time to check it out.
