Yeah, what's the latest on Maxine Jus?

Not that much of a jump, but I've driven to work, stopped the car with the battery *VERY* low and came back out at lunch with nearly half a charge. Jus blamed my aliens.

Well done mlaurence! Did your own victory parade, huh? Post 1 is updated! I hear ya about losing the 10mpg in the cooler weather. I'm using all the tricks learned here, but barely making 42mpg right now..............and colder is yet to come! Glad you made it in before the Big Chill!!!

Salman, I am so sorry you are having to go thru this, but I'm grateful to you, on behalf of others in a similar position, for the time you took to put this post together. I'm sure it will be immeasurably helpful to others. I hope the process goes smoothly for you. Please do keep us posted.

Thanks everyone for the input on my question. I got to try out some of your suggestions tonite.......it was raining when I got off work, not dark enuf yet to need lights. So I changed the wipers from intermittent and lo and behold................the headlights came on!!! As a test I switched back to intermittent and...............the lights went off!!! Chester, we have a winner!!!

I feel the need to throw a word of caution in here. This is a *game* folks!!! Don't ever put yourself, your loved ones, or anyone else in danger just for bragging rights here. We and the *game* are jus not that important. It's not worth it to *one-up* the last guy. Please be careful out there. I say this because I sometimes catch myself spending too much time looking at Trip 2 stats or My View when I should be paying better attention to the world I'm driving in. And I say this because, even tho we've never met, may never meet, I've come to care about all of you. Stepping down from soapbox again.

I keep all mine together on a 2-part detachable keychain. That way if I have to leave the car for service, I can separate the fob from the rest. They all rest comfortably together in one specific corner at the bottom of my purse and are easy to find by *braille*.

OK Seth and all, I took the liberty of editing the title..........for clarity to those dropping in here from, say, the moon or a Google or Bing search. Hope you don't mind. I heard part of the report on the way home from work yesterday and didn't hear either C-MAX mentioned. The story I heard focused on 4 vehicles, 3 of which were Toyota, 1 was the Prius V, and was about crash test scores. I held my breath but they didn't mention the C-MAX.
