We saw the platinum white this week at the dealership and indeed it was very nice--elegant looking.

I am very impessed with the black. That is the first black C-Max that I have seen and it looks very classy.

I would like to download this Myford Touch Handbook, but can't do it without joining facebook which I absolutely have no intent in joining. Does anyone know of another site that has the same handbook for downloading--as this seems the best one I have found? Red what do you log --things like fill ups and mileage? Sounds a very good idea to log things.

I like the jelly bean as a name. The first time I saw the C-Max was when drove up to the dealership after having read about it for several months, and I saw it sitting outside and even with all the Foucus' and Escapes sitting around, I knew it was the C-Max and thought "how unique". I think it has a very European look which I like.

That is very discouraging. I would be pretty upset too. We haven't received our factory order yet--so I have not had any experience with driving it. Best of luck, and I hope it is not indicative of problems to come for all of us.

CNCGeek we got our bumper protector today. We don't have our car yet so it will sit here for awhile. Hubby said to tell you that it could do with a bit more 3M tape. There are two long horizontal strips of tape--top and bottom--about 1/4" from the edges. Hubby felt that they could have used two small extra pieces perpendicular to the horizontal long strips at each end. But over all it looks fine.

Scooter we went into the dealership today because we heard they had a C-Max (first one they had sold) and we wanted to take another look since it was Oct.5th that we test drove and ordered. Both of us we surprised at how big the C-Max was as we remembered it being smaller. Funny how things are different from what you think you remember. When I walked up to it, I thought "this can't be the C-Max as it is so big". I had to go the rear of the car and look for the decal to make sure. We sat in it and fooled with gadgets etc. for nearly an hour. Got to see the ambient lighting that I didn't see before, saw the little sun glasses bin that I hadn't noticed before, loved the panoramic roof and the filtered light coming through the sun screen, loved the huge windshield again and the taller seats and wider doorways. The dealer said that once we hear that that our car is loaded on a train we can expect it here about 10-12 days later. He was unsure how long it would sit in the big parking lot Woodhaven before being put on a train. So the wait continues.

I ordered mine on Nov.1st and I just tracked it on Canada Post and it is out for delivery for today. Now I just need a car to put in onto.

My C-Max is at ramp 44 in Woodhaven, Mi and from reading on google that Dec.3rd delivery date could be accurate or it may not be as the rail cars sit there until they have a full load. And who knows how many C-Max's are needed for a full load to Canada since I haven't seen one on the road yet in the Vancouver area.

The Blue Oval forum, cyberdman, just gave me an update on my order. He says it is in transit with ETA Dec. 3rd. This is a little longer than the dealer said i.e. Nov.26th. But at least I know it is built and on the road.

New review of the C-Max. My husband thinks I should now change my C-Max's name to Goober <g> as the reviewer says that the C-Max's looks are dowdy and it looks like a goober. http://www.latimes.c...0,7175722.story

The two items listed on the work order were as follows: AU5Z-9C915-C VALVE ASY FV6Z-9D333-A HOSE - CONNECT I can also provide the statement of what they did if you want it but I figured I wouldn't type it out unless you needed it. Gee the things a person learns here. I never noticed it before. I have my awaited C-Max on my screen saver and by jove there is the chrome that you mention. Thanks.

What is the chrome belt line across the side? I haven't seen anything like that in the photos.

Did the dealer give you your VIN? If so you can get your window sticker which will have the build date on it. Supposedly after the build date, it will be about 2-3 weeks for delivery to the dealer. My build date was Nov.8th and the dealer says he expects it Nov.26th.

Zhack does that mean that your dealer made a mistake in filling out forms for your order? What a disappointment to be waiting so long over a system glitch.

Thanks Wayne. Looks kind of tan to me too, but everything looks very nice in the link you sent (I had to put in that old TV show zip code 90210 as our Canadian postal codes don't work <g>). I think I will be very happy.

Scooter I just asked cyberdman to check again. I hope it is on a train to British Columbia and not sitting somewhere while they wait for more to be built for Canada. Fingers crossed.

RedLdr1 what colour are the dashboard and doors?

Rachel I have ordered the medium stone interior sight unseen. From reading, it is up in the air whether people call is light grey or light tan or beige. Here is an older discussion about the colour on an Escape forum http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=309431 Maybe someone here with medium stone interior will check in. I am pretty sure the doors and dash are sort of grey--so I hope everything matches up nicely.

Very nice combo. Give us your review of how things go as you drive it for a few days. I guess being in Michigan is a big plus for getting your hands on one quickly. I am hoping my comes through by the end of the month as I ordered Oct.5.
