Captain Eddie, that seems really fast. I ordered mine about 3 weeks ago too, but I haven't heard a word from the dealer. Did you have to bug the dealership to get info.? I sort of resigned myself that it will take until January to get mine and that I wouldn't bug the dealership at all until mid-November. Glad to hear that yours is coming so quickly--that is encouraging.

Thanks for the excellent report--all very helpful information. I wonder with the touch door locks if it is the same as with my husband's Lexus? He touches twice on the front door handle to lock it and then can check that it's locked by touching the passenger door handle. I find his SUV confusing as I would touch lock it, and then try to test it by touching the front door handle and of course would unlock it immediately when I touched it again. I always wound up using the key fob anyway as I was a doubting debbie. I guess you aren't likely to Seattle yet? We're in Vancouver, B.C. and it is very rainy so we wish we were in New Mexico <g>.

I would have preferred the cloth seats myself. Don't think I got a choice on the SEL that I have ordered--other than colour.

Nice looking car. I like the light leather upholstery. The hands free feature using your foot for the rear hatch is only available on the SEL's as far as I know.

I wasn't going to order it, but after I put in my factory order for an SEL I phoned and ordered it. I did like the brightness of the interior on the demo we drove and the sliding cover filtered the bright light nicely. Since I loved the demo car and it had the panoramic roof, I thought I might live to regret not including it.

Re: push button start. I think it is only with the SEL. You can get the hands free automatic door on the SE--with the upgrade package, but I don't believe that includes push button start. I ordered the SEL in part to get the push button start. What did you buy, the SE or the SEL? And what color?

In Canada there has been almost no publicity on the C-Max Hybrid. There are a handful of C-Max Hybrids at dealers around each Province, but I see no evidence of more cars arriving. When I see a big Ford ad in the big city newspapers, there is absolutely no mention of the 2013 C-Max Hybrid. I am perplexed as I expected to see a big publicity campaign and launch of them in Canada. Are they receiving a big launch and ad campaign in the States? I tried to google to see if they will be launching a campaign soon in Canada, but cannot find anything. What is the hold up? My C-Max is on order since Oct.8th and I have no news at all yet.

I'm looking forward to hearing about the 3000 mile trip. All comments on the C-Max so far have been very good. It will be interesting to hear if you encounter any negatives. Have a safe trip.

When I ordered on Oct.8th, I was told 2 to 3 months. I hope it is sooner.

Congratulations! I have ordered a C-Max in Ice storm too. How would you describe the colour as I have never seen it in person?

How long was the time frame for the ordering and then actually getting your C-Max? We ordered last week. In some photos the light stone leather looks like seats are two tones. Is that the case or are they a solid colour? I ordered the stone upholestry too.

Hi Jem. Congratulations on your new C-Max. We drove all the Prius models too and just factory ordered our C-Max. Like Dorian, I would like to know what colour of exterior and interior? I saw your post about seat covers. Don't have an answer for that.

I spotted a ruby red SEL C-Max at another local dealership yesterday and peeked in the windows. Looked nice, but not as nice as my factory order ice storm will be I'm sure <g>. This afternoon took hubby by to have a look. A salesman wondered out to the lot and told me it had arrived just yesterday (when I spotted it) and was sold and gone already. When I found the dealers inventory list for Canada, it seems that at most there are about 5 or 6 C-Max's per Province. I think they are going to sell like hotcakes.

Dorian you have a beautiful wife and the world's most handsome Great Dane! I maintain you need to send those photos to Ford for their advertising campaign on the C-Max. Thanks for posting the pictures--they made me smile.

I am already committed to the factory order i.e. put down my $1000 deposit on Saturday. The wait will be hard for me too. I don't think Ford Canada has the dealer inventory list, but I will check for the heck of it. Thanks for all the good information.
