The SEL touch lock system is beautiful, elegant..... :love_shower: :love_shower: :love_shower: ....... give yourself a chance to learn & understand it. If all else fails, as Tdefny noted you have both new and old systems; "you can hold the handle by its top and bottom (rather than wrap your fingers around it) and it won't unlock the door". Best of luck & welcome. Nick
  2. Excellent Scuba! That's a 700, my goal for next summer. Congrats! (I see a 750 - 800 in your near future) :worship:

  4. Cheers to MY 2014 when it finally arrives. Love the pano roof here in the deep dark cloud covered north, but they do charge too much for it. Nick
  5. Nice write-up Matt - thanks. Atkinson / C-Max magic, I feel that magic too and like it. Nick
  6. Go Pony ! Hope you are the first to saddle up a new 2014 C-Max. :flyaway: Stealth fighter away ! Nick PS 'Car of the Year' in my book, by a mile !
  7. Good to hear from your dealer Paul that 2014 is cooking & soon here. Yes the dealer advertising here began to dry up in August / Sept, and went into the deep freeze Oct / Nov. The newspaper advertising switched over to the Energi by all of the dealers. There appeared to be a wholesale retreat saying goodbye to 2013, and counting the days until they could go with a fresh start with the 2014. Went by our dealer in early Nov and they had a nice row of 12 C-Maxes, but they were no longer in front of the showroom. I believe they were happy to sell them on a pace that would get them a new truckload when the 2014s became available now this month. It will be interesting to see if Ford opts for a new, more robust, ad campaign or just quietly launches 2014. Nick PS We are seeing C-Maxes all over Seattle now (or at least NW Seattle), and we saw them all over Maui when we were there two weeks ago.
  8. Looks great (again) Foto! Great set of photos to show off the Opticoat / beautiful new C-Max Energi. Double kudos ( :worship: :worship: ) for the effort to do both C-Maxes in their first days. Still loving our Opti, although with low miles we have not given it much of a test. Washed ours yesterday (easy peasy), then washed our Eurovan, then looked at the break dust on the BMW and gave up - I hate brake dust & wheel cleaning. Nick
  9. What a gift, and yes, a great car. Way to go redwing2 - congrats & enjoy! Nick
  10. Dittio & Wow, what a great combo! That's a lot of Ruby Red Foto!
  11. Very nice work ScubaDad ! Love the 50 + trips / tanks ................... . Getting too cool here for that now (time to weatherseal the hood). Nick
  12. Matt, I certainly agree that keeping the engine warm / hotter in winter is going to make a large difference. Combined with all your aero mods, and you are really maxing your C-Max out, to be sure. isn't this what Frank was doing, more or less, sealing off the hood gaps for aero & heat loss? Nick PS I ran into the same limit when I lowered my hood, could only go down a scosh before needing to lower the latch mechanism, so I bailed.
  13. BC & C - maybe near the first in line except for Alberta? Congrats Laurel. Finally, eh :drop: :drop: :drop: !
  14. I believe that's a 'Thanks Jus' there Pony. Roger & out, Nick ;)
  15. Rotten luck wab, sorry to see. I hate hospital lots here, all seem to have tiny parking spaces. And I'm guessing they left no note? Looks like it touched the wheel panel too? I would be fuming as well. Find a good shop. Best of luck on your DW's new knee. Nick
  16. Oh dear is right. Sorry to hear of another such crunch - heart breaking in two regards. Hope you are OK Paul ! (You don't seem to have lost your C-Max spirit !) Get well GUNNER. Nick (Saw a number of deer crossing signs on Maui last week, but no deer)
  17. Very sorry to hear it is taking so long for all of you in Canada. Frustrating.
  18. +1 on that Yep. Anything less then 2,3,4,5 miles, esp. in cool / cold weather will kill better MPGs. (unless it is all down hill & one way on residual HB charge)
  19. That's a hoot, Jus; and yes, Frank, it would be fun to see some autocrossing C-Maxes some day !!! :twister: :flyaway: :twister:
  20. ♫ ♫ Whistle..♪.♫..Whistle..♪. ♫..whistle..♪..♫ California dreamin' on such a winter's day .......... and then there is Seattle, 360 days of cloudy miserable weather every year ...................................... and 46 MPG 'Lifetime' :) (Who needs heat and AC, when you have a blanket of clouds over head every day ;) ) ♫ ♫ Whistle..♪.♫..Whistle..♪. ♫..whistle..♪..♫ Nice work Motor Trend ! Nick
  21. Congrats Zhack ! Winter miles in Phoenix should be better this year !
  22. Great advice Salman. It is always a fine line we walk with car dealers through the purchase process and then on to the service department. Firmness, politeness .......... you nailed it with your last comment. I had a couple issues with ours at delivery, and understanding my position & negotiating well led to full repairs, no dollars out of pocket, and a free maintenance plan. Both the dealer & Ford stepped up and cooperated fully. :) :) :) Nick
  23. Congrats pjurek ! Turn that into a tank and it's 600 - not easy at this time of year.
  24. It's the new P & G - got to start them young, ......... er is that old. ;) It all works. Welcome Robert - EV rules here. Enjoy the ride & forum. Which C-Max are you driving?
