  1. My card purchase was a low budget operation. The car shown is stock art on one of their basic card designs. I am sure they would have been happy to collect twice as much money from me and inserted a photo I had of a C-Max. I wasn't interested in paying that extra charge.
  2. I asked, both on this forum and at my Ford dealer, about what would be replaced under the seat back recall if a seat back frame was found to have defective welds. In both places I was told that only the seat back frame would be replaced - everything else would be transferred from the old seat back frame to the new seat back frame. I asked the dealer if they would be doing the transfer or if they would send the car to a local upholstery shop. They had not done one yet and they were not sure how they would be doing it. See posts #42 and #43 at http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/3691-announcing-advance-notice-14c03-compliance-recall/page-3 This reminds me that I need to call my dealer and find out where the part is for the one seat back frame we need to have replaced.
  3. Tires going flat? Are you referring to discussions about the C-Max not being equipped with a spare tire/jack/lug wrench and what, if anything, to do about it? As to your question - we love our C-Max and absolutely would still buy a C-Max if we had to do it again. One of my sons has a 2008 Mazda 3 (manual transmission) - it has been an excellent car for him.
  4. What have I done? I mentioned Vista Print a few times and now their ads are popping up at the top of every page I go to on this forum.
  5. Thanks for all the positive comments on the cards. I wanted to do this on a low budget. I knew there was a "250 free cards" offer and other coupons/discounts available from Vista Print. Ordering from Vista Print is similar to buying a car. You start with the basics (stock card with stock artwork and stock positioning of text) and then there are unlimited options to customize art, customize text position, font, and color; add art and text to the back of the card; special papers and special inks. These options are all enticing and all add cost. The "250 free cards" offer is for a basic card and does not include free shipping. I found another coupon online that discounted the cards and included free shipping - this turned out to be a better deal. My cards have stock artwork and stock text positioning, color and font. I came up with the text. I looked at the price of perforated card stock. A pack of 250 perforated blank cards costs about the same (+/- $1) of getting 250 basic cards printed and delivered from Vista Print if you use an online Vista Print coupon. I had cards with me when I was out yesterday. I saw one other C-Max on the move, but in two blocks it turned in a direction I didn't want to go. So, no cards delivered yet. There is a white one I often see parked in the same spot on Wednesday afternoon. I hope I will see it again today.
  6. I got these cards (using a discount coupon from Vista Print) to leave on the other C-Max I encounter.
  7. Here's one I previously posted - spotted on Patton Avenue in Asheville NC
  8. fordguy Welcome to the forum. Sorry you are having chronic 12v battery problems. You said you like your car. Find some relevant threads and tell us more about what you like. In no time you will have the requisite 5 posts and you can send a message to Ashley.
  9. Nice work Adair. Roll Jelly Bean Roll!
  10. On Saturday, June 21 at the Hilton Riverside in Wilmington NC.
  11. We have had 14S04 done. The other two are paperwork items, nothing to have done on the vehicle itself.
  12. So, 3 days at the dealer shop last week. A lot of back and forth with corporate and they got this fixed. Well it was fixed for 2 or 3 days, but now it is back to doing the same thing when I change from 99.9 sports radio to 91.5 public radio. Oh well, I will ask about it again when we bring our C-Max back in a few weeks when they have a replacement driver's seat back frame for us.
  13. Now I'm not sure if it's the tech side (math) or the language (proofreading). I received a C-Max brochure in today's mail. Here's what I found inside.
  14. Treptower - Wow, you could win prizes for best lurker and best videos. You joined the forum in August 2013 and made your first post (video ay Kennedy Space Center) in December 2013. Then you returned today with a nice text post and another video. Do you have an airbag in the microphone on today's video? What happens if you make a short stop?
  15. On the plus side - Smooth comfortable ride On the down side - Taking away the lifetime statistics. I still have mine, but seriously why did Ford take these away? As if we won't calculate out own lifetime mpg and shouldn't know other lifetime statistics.
  16. Spotted this morning at the UNC NW Cary Wellness Center. Owner unknown.
  17. I was going to ask how much it weighs, but I found the weight at the link you provided - 42 lbs. Does it roll around in the back of your car? Leak oil/hydraulic fluid?
  18. Bill-N Thanks. The instructions in the first post on this thread and in the "2013-2014 C-MAX, Focus and Fiesta - Several Radio Issues" thread are the same. Unfortunately, at least for my C-Max, the fix is apparently not as easy as these instructions make it sound. My dealer has had the car for two days and the tech has been spending a lot of time consulting with corporate. At the end of the day yesterday I told them I needed the car back at noon today. When I went by at noon I saw it was still inside being worked on. The service advisor went into the shop to see what was going on. When he came back he said they were still working on it and that he would give me a loaner. So while they work this out, we are driving a black Fiesta. Ironic that this fixing this cosmetic radio issue is the first difficult repair we have had. All of our previous updates went smoothly. This one not so smooth.
  19. Colleen - Sorry you are having so many troubles with your vehicle and that your state's lemon law is so weak. What is the main/central power box? I don't recall seeing that term before on this forum.
  20. Had our car at the dealer's shop all day today and the radio display fix proved to be difficult. They had several consultations with corporate which did not yield a fix yet. They will try again tomorrow morning. Has anyone had this fixed on their car?
  21. Tom - Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. The jack I bought was from an Escape. The part number on the base of the jack is is BCP9-17080-CB-EQPCCXZ. This jack came with a nice foam block to store the jack in and a lug wrench (that was too small for the lug nuts on the C-Max).
