  1. For those who may not be aware, the "Where an I" MFT screen gives altitude, and will display changes as one drives.
  2. I should think it would be fine. I also think the dealer should have first crack at the problem where possible.
  3. Off the wall thought: is the volume turned down? When I receive a call, it's "announced" by MFT, so if the volume is down ....
  4. Read the forums to find that info (and a lot more).
  5. Dealer software updates can be VERY problematical. Read through the threads in this forum and you will learn about the problems dealers have.
  6. ETIS is indeed European so be careful with dates. I suggest you spend an hour or two reading this forum. Lots of good info including how to determine which software you have installed. But be careful with nomenclature; lots of folks equate GPS with navigation, MyFord with MFT, and so on. And, sad but true, you may already know more about your car than the dealer. So be prepared for a number of fits and starts when it comes to dealer-performed software upgrades. Cheers.
  7. Does that also apply to the suggestions in the "How to make the forum better" thread? PS: I too dislike the centering changes.
  8. Question for moderators: have any of these suggestions been implemented?
  9. Look in the maintenance forum for GPS fixes.
  10. You can blame the EPA testing protocol for the highway part as the highway estimate is based on 55mph. Utterly ridiculous IMHO.
  11. I posted this link elsewhere. It's useful in that it demonstrates the sound of these new-fangled scroll compressors:
  12. Add me to the list  Both sides are broken.
  13. ETIS will show uninstalled fixes (iirc). Check syncmyride.com for installed fixes. Look in "show update history" or some such.
  14. Sorry about that. But I did post, perhaps in another thread, that Ford websites seem to have a strong IE bias. Sad, but true. Also, the file isn't really an exe file; it's a 7-zip. Perhaps 7-zip is available for Macs? Just a suggestion. Hope this helps. Cheers.
  15. I thought this was worth quoting (again) as it will help those who are still having download problems. Note this is a 552 MB download, so it will take awhile.
  16. Actually the Nook Color has Bluetooth, just no antenna. Within 3 feet or so it works fine. I've been hacking the Nook for awhile now and I used Torque with my '98 Grand Cherokee. Super tablet (when rooted) and Torque is great too. Thanks for the info. I'll follow you down this path and help when I can. Thanks again for blazing the trail. Cheers.
  17. Mine plus another, side by side, in a Philadelphia parking garage. I also saw a brownish-gray (taupe ?) Energi in a mall parking lot near my home.
  18. Here's a link to supplement one which adds coverage for C-MAX vehicles: http://allstatetrucks.com/images/Recalls/R12M02%2011%20thru%2013%20Models%20with%20Sync%20and%20MyFord%20Touch%20S1.pdf
  19. FYI, Ford websites seem to (more or less) insist on IE.
