The CanvasBack arrived yesterday, but I couldn't pick it up until today. Set up took all of about two minutes. Sorry about the pics. I shot them in my building's parking garage. I will get around to better pictures soon.

Today, I spotted what I am almost certain is a non-rental C-MAX. Gray. It was in a part of town that I would doubt that most tourists would frequent. Plus, it looked quite dusty. We approached head-on, so I didn't have time to do more than wave and honk. I don't think that the other person figured it out until we were basically side-by-side. I just saw him turning his head as I had to pay attention to the bridge I was crossing. Obviously, no time for pics.

Agreed. However, I had tinting added. So, I am not sure how well the car would cool without it. I run the air conditioning at three to four bars fan speed, with temp set at 73F, and I am surprised at how comfortable it gets, pretty quickly.

Any ETA on that?

Most travel is between 30 and 45 mph, I'd say.

All stats are with air conditioning 100 percent of the time. Range = 650.1 MPG = 50.2 Fill = 12.93 gallons Lifetime up to 48.4/Fuelly shows 48.6 Braking Score = 98 That gauge seems to line up with how much fuel I purchased, which was from Costco. So, I probably had about a half gallon left. I really thought I had a shot at 700 miles, but the Fourth of July holiday had lots of short, local trips, and also had highway travel. Plus, the traffic was so bad that it actually affected FE. More than once, I had to sit while the bridge went up for boaters. No way was I about to shut down in 90+F heat, just to try to save a few tenths on the FE. Anyway, I had fun getting to know my new C-MAX a little better.

By the time your C-MAX arrives, you'll be such an expert that you'll be able to teach your salesman all about the car!

My SEL got 50.2 for its second tank full, and that is with air conditioning running 100 percent of the time.

Daily occurrences for us all, I am sure. The C-MAX gets partial credit for mellowing me out, but that credit gets taken away by these kinds of things. It's like getting the perfect 10. Even if you have had luck for something at one moment, you end out finishing off the performance with choosing between a brake slam or gunning ICE to avoid getting caught by the light. If only you had arrived at the light just three seconds before! Sound familiar? :shift:

Have you had it for a while? Notice any change, good or bad, with reception? Put it through a carwash yet? Does the color look good to the eye (compared to photos)? I like the way that these look, and I imagine that it would do a little something for both wind noise and MPG. I am just a little concerned for the durability of the adhesive. I don't hand wash my car; I go through the carwash. So, if you don't mind being the experimenter, I sure hope that you will keep reporting back to us about how it is going.

My numbers come from the Trip screen plus the Range screen. I filled this tank after I was in the yellow on my last tank, as soon as I crossed 600+. That was my first and only tank. So, this is unknown territory. While I was in the yellow, I needed about 12.6 gallons, from my recollection. Sounds like I won't make it. Maybe I will be able to hit 700 after I break in the C-MAX a little more. No way will I turn off the air conditioning to try to make it.

I have only seen one that is not a rental in South Florida. I have spotted at least four rentals.
