I hope that your delivery happens quickly. I still have about a week for my delivery. Worse, I sold my old car, and I have been renting for the last six weeks. I like it. I wouldn't have gone so far as to do the Oval, but I like it. Nice contrast against the car color. I imagine that this would look pretty great with my Oxford White, too. This stuff comes in a spray can?

The CMAX wasn't tested, but the Prius V got poor marks. http://www.iihs.org/ratings/rating.aspx?id=1752&seriesId=740 The Escape was better, but still not so great. http://www.iihs.org/ratings/ratingsbyseries.aspx?id=322 Recent model years of the Focus got top marks. http://www.iihs.org/ratings/ratingsbyseries.aspx?id=328 I wonder if the CMAX will be more like the Focus or the Escape. It has the Focus frame, but I don't know if that translates for impact testing.

I'm not normally a sticker kind of person, but if someone would make one for the Forum, that would be a cool identifier. (Maybe one of those cool bar code images, so that it would not be too big? :camera:) I'd get one of those. Maybe, if not too much money to produce, someone who knows about this sort of thing could make a template where each of us could fill in our Screen Name, and then print a sticker from that, and the sticker would link to the user on the Forum. Would something like that work? Man, that would be really cool! :shift: If we had that, and we were to pass each other on the road, we could post our spy reports of each other!

I love hearing about everyone's mods. I've never really done any to my cars, but the CMAX has such great tech already that adding a few enhancements will really up the advantages even more! So, I am definitely going to do at least some. Maybe there's even an armrest extension in my future! ;)

Got another update, and clarification on that "Hold for Quality Control." Apparently, that hold is for QC testing. Ford routinely pulls assembled vehicles for in-depth testing to assure that the current run is going properly, and mine was tested accordingly. I think that this is a good thing. Hopefully, clearing QC should mean that I will have fewer issues after delivery. The really big news is that the latest report shows that my CMAX is at the rail yard, ready for dispatch! :yahoo: This means that it is not yet loaded, but it is at the rail station. At this point, I am told that delivery ETA is 7 to 10 days! :woot:

The manual says that leaving the CMAX in Neutral does not charge the battery. Does that mean that gliding in Drive will? If so, then why doesn't that show up on the Regen? Or does gliding while in Drive only slightly add a charge while applying the brake lightly will add a much greater charge?

I sure hope it works. I had no problems with the original Galaxy S model phone that I used during my test drive, but I have since gotten a Note 2, and my CMAX hasn't arrived at the dealer. So, I have no way of knowing if I will have this problem. I downloaded the app, just in case. Anything to be ready for the big day! :drool:

I selected Oxford White as my color choice. I didn't want to take away from the happy platinum white owners' thread by preaching the many virtues of Oxford White. So, I decided to start a new thread about why this is my color selection. I live in South Florida. The summers are disgustingly hot and humid. White (with a light interior) really does seem to help with getting the car cooler faster. This was the first reason that I went with OW. White seems to look clean for longer than some of the other color selections. I intend to keep my new CMAX clean. However, with it raining pretty much every afternoon for six months of the year down here, I want something that will keep looking good between washings. I see people ordering all kinds of wraps and protectants for their vehicle's exterior. Some are quite expensive. The combined cost of some of these protectants and the metallic flake tricoat paint job starts approaching the cost of the Panoramic Roof. I elected to put that money toward the Roof instead of paying for the paint job and protectants. Does this mean that I am not going to take car of my Oxford White exterior? Not at all. My last car was a variant of metallic flake tricoat white. When I got some scratches in it, the body shop told me that matching the paint, blending and applying the clear coat would be much more expensive than if I had just gone with plain white for my vehicle color choice. This time around, rather than getting the more expensive paint plus protectants at the outset, I am just going to make it easier to keep my new CMAX new looking in the less-expensive-to-maintain Oxford White. If something happens, I'll get it touched up professionally for a reasonable price. So, these are some of the reasons behind my color selection. I carry no ill will toward CMAXes of any model or color. :hi5: Hurray for Oxford White! :rockon:

Some of us are still waiting for delivery, and we are looking for info that could help calculate the day for our new arrivals. ;) Enjoy your new CMAX! :shift:

I can only think of it this way. If the antenna were not needed, then Ford would have figured that out, saving millions, a long time ago.

Got a status update, and I am awaiting further details before I fully understand it. So, I'll tell you what I know, and I'll let you know my speculation, and I'll distinguish which is which. Just to recap, my Order Date was March 29, and my Build Date was April 29. The ETA was originally six to eight weeks, but that was narrowed to about six weeks, as of the Build Date, which would have made an ETA of May 13, yesterday. I called my dealer yesterday, and they said that they would get their weekly order status report from Ford today. They called today, having received the report. The report shows a status of Hold for Quality Control. (Normally, expected status would show the date that the C-MAX was put on a train for shipment.) I am to receive more information tomorrow concerning the details behind the reported status. Here is my hopeful speculation. Perhaps there are updates and the like being installed (like the liftgate update), and my new C-MAX will arrive without the few issues that have been reported. This would mean that Ford is responding to any reported problems, which is a good thing. Of course, I am deeply saddened by the delays. This would have been easier on me had I not adjusted my expectation of delivery to the six week time frame instead of the eight week time frame that I had originally expected. Nonetheless, it will be better in the long run for any little issues to get addressed before leaving the factory. So, I will do my best to remain positive. :sad:

After the change, did you notice an effect, positive or negative, on using the rearview camera at night, etc.?

They get their report from Ford each Tuesday. They will call me with status tomorrow. I have been driving rental cars for six weeks. I sure hope it gets here soon. :waiting:

I am certainly going to check and ask about the kick operated liftgate to make sure that this is with the latest update, since it sounds like that resolution has just come out. Maybe my build date, April 29, already has this. That would be great. Yes, the cup holder divider is on the list, which I now know about, thanks to this Forum!

Well, I am just waiting for the call that lets me know that the CMAX is at the dealership. The ETA is May 13! :) I sure hope it arrives on time. Once I placed my order, I started doing things to get ready for the big day. I ordered a mounting kit for my radar detector. I still can't decide about just where I am going to put my phone. So, I have held off on ordering that until I see just how much or how little I am going to be needing to access it. Meanwhile, I keep reading here on the Forum. Thanks for so many helpful suggestions, everyone! :worship: Because of the great information I have found here, I now know to ask about various versions and updates on pick up day, and I hope that I can get any updates done then and there, if any are needed. I have watched all of the videos, and I am finishing up reading the owner's manual. I registered on the Ford website, as soon as I got my VIN. I have decided to tint the windows, but I am still not completely sure of just what I am going to do in that regard. I may go with privacy tint to the rear, and something less than that in the two front windows. I have not decided on whether to add a strip across the top of the wind screen, but I am leaning against doing this unless it is really necessary. We get disgustingly hot summers in Miami. So, I need something functional, but I also want something that will look good, or at least not look bad. I have saved the site to get the LED puddle lights, and will probably go with some for the license plate lighting, too. I would have already ordered these, but I am waiting until I can order enough to get free shipping before I pull that trigger. I hope that I have thought of everything, or at least have done enough to get ready for when "that call" comes! I hope it won't be long! :drool: :shift:

However, I do not have nearly as much on that screen as you, and that information is definitely not there, for me. I downloaded the Android App. So, I'll be recording from tank 1. If I still can't do it after the first tank, you'll know by the lack of my Fuelly info. I'm sure it will all get straightened out. Thanks.
