Congratulations on your lease! It's been my experience to want to drive and drive... My husband is even thinking about getting one too. I've had mine over two months and I still look forward to driving it. There is always a challenge to get better gas mileage. We may even go on a driving vacation instead of flying so that we can play with the car. :dogwalk:

On a quest for 47 mpg average. Who wants to join me?
C-Maxgo replied to C-Maxgo's topic in Fuel Mileage
JohnnOhio don't you love warmer weather. My mpg doesn't quite compare to yours but I've noticed it's getting easier to get better mpg with over 2500 mile on my car. I saw that we have very similar miles on our cars. -

The only door I have to slam is the rear door but I've gotten used to it. -

C-Maxgo replied to C-Maxgo's topic in Fuel Mileage
I'm very happy to say that I've gotten up to 48 mpg average for the past 12 days or 241 of miles of mostly in town driving with some highway. I think the hyper milers are rubbing off a bit on me. Thank your for your great influence! :worship: -
Saw a C-Max in Roanoke, Va today

Listen to you ;) -
This is only the second one I've seen in Roanoke since I bought mine in February. My friend thought I was nuts when I set out to take a picture of it. Actually she helped me take the best angle and it looks great! Thanks friend. :hi5: Here it is: I didn't get to see the owner but they live in Virginia. Now I don't feel so looney... oops I mean lonely :yahoo:

Ah  I never even considered to deduct the EV miles. And you're good at getting 47 mpg! Any additional hints on how to get 47 lifetime? As I wrote in an earlier post I have about 2500 miles on my car and a Lifetime of 43.5. Okay I need to work a bit more. Well I should say play a bit more to get up to 47 Lifetime. You are a driver to follow! ;) -

Wow that's amazing! How many miles do you have on your car? It sounds like you've mastered the P&G. I live in the mountains so there is very little opportunity to use it but I do get to charge my battery and coast down hill. -

C-Maxgo replied to C-Maxgo's topic in Fuel Mileage
My hat goes off to the people who can get 600 miles on a tank of gas. It scares me to much when I see the yellow gas tank. :runaway: I can only imagine how I would feel when I see the red tank. That's why I'm going to try to get the same gas mileage by watching and tracking my mpg using the displays provided on the C-Max. :dogwalk: I realize the averages are not 100% accurate so I'll also calculate my mpg when I fill the car up with gas. I figure if the tank capacity is 13.5 gallons and I get 47 mpg I would travel 634.5 miles. -
I really like tracking my mpg because it's just plain old fun. :happy feet: I recently reset my average mpg and have been hovering around 46 mpg with 47 showing up occasionally. Since resetting it I've driven mostly in town and about 60 miles. I think I can do it so I'm going to keep trying. I have about 2500 miles on my car so it's pretty much broken in.

Vanity Plates - claimed, spotted, or available

I just picked out my new vanity plate. It will be C-MAXGO. I'll get it in about 4 weeks. I'm so excited! -
What cool hidden feature have you discovered about your C-Max?
C-Maxgo replied to armoredsaint's topic in General Discussion
fotomot, I like your sense of humor! I also want to add another cool hidden feature. When I used my Navigation today I wasn't sure what the street address was so it asked me more questions to narrow down the approximate location. It asked if it was between a number range and I said not. Then there was one more question that narrowed it down fairly close. My last GPS was old and was a touch screen only so I was delighted with this feature. It makes me feel better that I paid more for the navigation. -
It kind of looks like a Ford Focus. It's hard to see the tail lights on your picture but the Focus tail lights have an upsweep on the rear section where the C-Max doesn't. The color is also not a C-Max color. My husband had an Ohh Ohh... moment the other day when we thought we saw a C-Max. We anxiously drove up to the car in a parking lot to find that it was a Focus. Edit: Sorry for the misinformation but the C-Max does come in black. I saw one at the dealership today.

That is one feature that I really wished we had on the old MFT but it's not there. I just rechecked and didn't see it. -

I just found this today. When playing a USB song while on the entertainment screen with a title that is to long to fit on the screen there is a small arrow pointing to the right just after the cut off title. If you tap the arrow the rest of the title is displayed. -

Yesterday I saw a white C-Max parked at Sam's Club. I've got a picture but am running out of GB and will upload it later this week. This one had a South Carolina license plate. -

Wow you've got me beat! What colors were they? -

I went to see the new movie Oblivion. It just came out today so in case everyone doesn't know what it't about I'll fill you in a bit. It's a futuristic Science Fiction. Okay now for the relation to my Max. When I get out of a movie theatre it takes me a while to adjust to being back into reality. We got into the car. Started it up and all I could hear was the battery noise and I felt like I was in a futuristic car! Wow that was cool! BTW, I really liked Oblivion.

Fhotomoto, just curious why you sold your Volt? I thought about buying it before the C-Max purchase.

I'm on a roll. I saw another C-Max! I was sitting at the light and just happened to notice it about three cars ahead in the next lane. Here's the photo: -

I just saw a white one in Myrtle Beach today and a silver one yesterday. I can't figure out why I see more here than in Roanoke. Maybe because it's a tourist town. -

I'm also waiting for some ideas to put this bracket to use. -
I don't think it's that we feel privileged. I don't have any children and have been paying school taxes all my life. I'd like to add that I don't mind one iota that I pay taxes that I don't use.
