  1. this forum is quickly becoming one of the ones with the most" liked" posts. you guys have some fine n dandy sayings.
  2. i have a feeling i will be in the same boat. when we get the cmax for my wife cutie75, i know it will be a battle to try and steal the keys away from her for a while.and i know after a while of driving a hybrid i **will** want one for myself. already do now. :wub2:
  3. the cmax grand is not a hybrid car so has no battery.only the usa has the hybrid.
  4. I'm sure your delay is for the mandatory recall upgrade, regardless of its at the factory plant or before the train they want it done asap. just bad ordering time for you. wrong order wrong time.bad luck that's all. it will be worth the wait. don't spoil your new car experiences. it should be a fun and exciting time. stay positive.
  5. yeah but it sure is nice not to have major issues in the first year of ownership. this car is so advanced and computer like, it is bound to have something go wrong in its first outing. to many complex systems working together is not an easy thing.
  6. great to hear you were firm and that they were eager to get it figured out and fixed for you and others with this issue.
  7. welcome to the cmax group. can i assume you have been reading some of the forums here before joining? best wishes on many happy travels in your new super efficient (and fun) automobile.
  8. sounds like what might be a possible culprit for the dead battery issues if something is staying on. or.... do you have a cat or maybe dogs walking in front of car at night? goblins or ghosts.... can you leave a webcam on a tripod to record it?
  9. good luck. just hope your wife doesn't get SEL remorse later for not upgrading. can't wait to hear about your first road trip in an updated new cmax.
  10. with they had a way to do this for the hybrid only cmax to track the mpg and other vital stats.
  11. i want to see which car magazine will be the first to re-test the cmax after the FE update and write about it. would be good to have one test car with the update and one without it to compare. since consumer reports was one of the ones who made the biggest negative complaint about it I'm sure they are vestedin the retest results .I'm sure they want what the readers want which is better FE. and if what they did helps the consumer population in general then I'm sure they will pat themselves on their back and say good job CR.
  12. welcome to the cmax club.glad you aren't a lurker anymore. enjoy your new ride. Will be interesting to hear how a former hybrid driver does in the cmax. lots to learn but lots of cool members to help you out for sure. have fun.
  13. +3, i thought the vag tool was only for vw/audi and not able to link up to Ford.
  14. what kind of incentives?? i couldn't find such a page on their sites. please expand your info.
  15. why didn't you let it go down to 1/8th left or so to see the real mpg and range of the car? you had plenty of miles still to go.do you plan to reset your lifetime fuel economy once you get used to driving a hybrid like it needs to be and you become adjusted to your Cmax' quirks and nuances?
  16. wish we had something like we do for Volkswagen (very informative info and videos): https://askavwsalesguy.wordpress.com/
  17. LU congrats on the update and finding a dealer that cares about YOU not just the sale to add to his monthly quota numbers!! :) we hope you get the car car ASAP so we can hear all about the great fuel economy you will get now that they have a patch installed to maximize the car to its full potential.
  18. robitalle, even at 70mph your driving style will not match the EPA testing so you can expect to see lower mpgs. lower your speed to 65 or 62 and you will see a greater improvement but we realize you have to go with the flow of traffic offer law.this is why the EPA test needs to be updated to match more real world environments in a hybrid not just a regular gas car.
  19. question to all..Will you reset your lifetime FE after you get this fuel economy update or leave it alone and just keep tracking with fuelly? after the update the engine/car will be a different animal so i would think it's best to reset it to be able to compare before and after better, even though some of your early data was just getting used to driving a hybrid car as well as the engine breakin period so... your thoughts. how often SHOULD you reset your lifetime fuel econony ? every 10,000 miles??' Jus & recump, how do you feel about it?
  20. very nice pix Arizona. being a hobby photographer, that's a keeper for sure would be nice if you could have a setting so they rotated every day or week.
  21. robitalle, will you be going to get the fuel economy update for you cmax when it's available and if so do you think it will help and how much better do you think it will give you?
  22. better during resale of the vehicle, easier to wax your car with them removed, easier to try different placements to tweak mpgs as it might take a while to figure it all out, you might change your mind down the road , you hate the look of glue seeping out around the edges, or you find they don't work and don't want them anymore. magnetic is the way to go. imo
  23. here is the thread for the shelf in the glove box: http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/2284-stuff-doesnt-fall-off-my-glove-box-shelf-anymore/?do=findComment&comment=23579
  24. cool vid. wish they did one on just the hybrid engines/cats and how to drive it for best mpg with dash shots.don't agree with him on the cold weather myth and I'm sure most here would agree as the fuelly data and those in the cooler east/north states can attest to.

    I'm In...

you will soon be getting crazy mpg numbers like Jus-a-c-max (70-80+ mpg) with your new commute. glad for you.report back. yes others have said you can't drive the cmax like you did the Prius A's it's totally different programming and this is not a nimh battery but instead a lithium ion type so it will use EV mode differently. goal is the same but route to get there may not be. cheers
