  1. altazi, you and i are getting the same exact package/setup (less the moon roof for us) 303a SEL all the way is the only way to go. good price for that as well.!! what color did you decide on?
  2. Mike, you can re install/resave EV+ locations by turning the car on/off 11 times when you are stopped at the location you want to save (home/work/kids school)
  3. tech man there is a thread all about options for the antenna search forums for "what's that antenna for?" here it is: http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/1961-whats-that-antenna-for/?hl=antenna i agree it sucks and is old school for this modern car. what was even more amazing is that the Lincoln MKZ which is a luxury brand also has a fishing pole antenna on the back left end!!!! come on if the car had nav/gps they all should be using the nice BMW/Audj shark type looking antenna. it's more aerodynamic as well I'm sure the antenna will be the first mod for many.
  4. cgul, any way to keep your A/C at 73-74 instead of 71-74? the lower end of your range will hurt the mpg alot. see how high you can tolerate and still be comfortable to try and save a few mpgs.
  5. congrats!! what are you most interested in learning here regarding the car? how much research have you done on the web. have you seen the cmax/Ford you tube channel with all the helpful videos Ford made on the car and the various screens for how your car works?
  6. scuba, why do you like the pan roof so much even though it doesn't open and its very expensive for what it is. (don't include the tsb issue as a reason either) my wife doesn't want the pan roof in her c-max and i would agree.and never uses her sun roof in her SUV but i do in my Passat to let hot air out in the day time when parked or let fresh air in when driving around town (just cracked up to angle not slid all the way back and open to see the sky) if it was less $$ maybe but...
  7. Also this post by Jus needs to be pinned. I'm sure he can update it as needed after the FE update is applied to his CMax.
  8. can you make Powerpoint slides with screen shots of each of your thoughts (and extras if needed) with text below each side to help explain all this to us know so mpg-perfect...? and were still waiting on that vid you promised ;)
  9. sorry i haven't had a chance to upload my pix and sit down and write up my experience and review of the Los Angeles EcoBoosf event last Sat. here is a link that does a very good job of explaining all the things that they had available: http://cars.chicagotribune.com/fuel-efficient/news/chi-playing-fords-ecoboost-challenge-20130702 i will try and do mine soon. my wife and son did go with me and we had fun. and let just put it this way....reading these forums here DID help.....i will keep you in suspense for a little bit longer :) and don't ask cuz i won't tell until I'm ready to.
  10. sorry.my android phone calc must of been sick that day ;)
  11. i don't think 100 of them will help. they picked 9 for a reason and they need to be placed in a certain spot and in a certain way to max the benefits.
  12. Monty, you need to set the cruise to about 60-65 to get the best mpg with the eco cruise function.it will increase/decrease the speed accordingly to max the fuel economy. if set to 75-85, you will only be using gas engine (with no help from the electric battery assist), at least for now until you get the FE update applied. after that, setting a higher mph set point in eco cruuse may get a bit better mpg than now at those speeds.
  13. Darrell, glad to hear you changed your mind about the update. i think there will be more good than bad that can happen for you.
  14. and now we know officially that EV+ kicks in around 1/8th of a mile per the release info.
  15. can't wait to find out what they end up actually doing for the headliner issue
  16. definitely sign up at Ford.com for getting flyers and deals in the mail before you buy.
  17. where to? i think this is great news sad that it will take 6+ years to become a reality. didn't know Ford n Toyota were working together at all. glad the goal of paving a new course in tech is a common theme for both. here to their success.
  18. it will be worth the wait. nothing worse than getting a new toy and find it has a scratch (defect) so let the experts (factory) do it.
  19. i don't have a c-max yet nor sync but signed up for this with my SF agent a month or so ago.they let you self report your mileage to see how much above / below the national avg you are aand adjustadjust accordingly. only adjusts every 6 months i think
  20. light stone only if you can dedicate the time to clean and condition it every 3-4 weeks with a quality leather cleaner like zymol or lexol. if you have kids or don't want to clean it a lot go with the grey.
  21. i think they are touted to work best at above 55-65 mph

    Memory Seats?

homestead, you have a keeper there. don't let her her away.
  23. welcome you came to the right place to get the best info to help you make your buying decision easier. i too am here to make a decision on buying the CMax for my wife. many here have driven/owned both the Prius and cmax. many here are experts at getting the best mpg out of the cmax. lots of things and tricks. check out any thread by users Jus-a-Cmax or Recumpence. stop and go sucks but with the cmax getting great mpgs it makes it alot easier and cheaper for sure. best of luck and have fun here.lots of friendly helpful folks here. the Prius sites are not so friendly.
  24. scuba, that's the idea.if Ford wants to get a larger share of the hybrid market and try to take away the prize belt from the Prius, they need to make it fun to drive, easy to drive, nicer to drive, and deliver the numbers (close to/equal to/better than the Prius) for the larger population of common drivers and not cater to the niche market of hypermilers that most prius owners have become. hopefully the FE update will make a lot of folks smile when driving the cmax and make the buying decision a no brainer. and let's hope the negative mpg press of the past hasn't hurt the cmax and Ford too much already.
