I ordered May 9th. Today is August 10. When I count the weeks I get 13. Hmmmm 13 weeks to deliver a '13 car, if I see one more 13 I might get a bit spooked.

IT's in Texas!!! Just north of Amarillo. It will probably arrive either sometime tonight, or tomorrow. Really looking forward to a Monday pick up.

Maximal is not really settling with me. At this point. It's an all black car, gonna have dark tint, I can feel it getting closer. I am starting to lean towards naming it "Vader" .

Hi, welcome to the forum. The current Sync version is 3.6.2. Enter your vin here to see any TSB's. http://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do -
HeHe, another phrase that made me :headscratch: . I think I got this one though. Your "sunnies" are my sunglasses. I have to wear prescription lenses when I drive, day & night. I use clip-ons during the day. I have been meaning to get a new pair. I have been thinking about getting a lens called Drivewear. It is from Transitions, and changes while in the car, unlike most other transition types. They will even transition a bit in really bright indoor light. Still in K.C. That train needs to get rolling.

8/9 - 12:43pm - Kansas City, KS. That's about halfway, should be here in a few days, barring any breakdowns or extended stays at another railyard. Hoping it gets here Sunday, which would be the original eta, and we have it Monday. :kookie:

ICE = Internal Combustion Engine. Here is a very helpful thread explaining many abbreviations. http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/974-hybrid-car-acronyms/

It's finally west of the Mississippi. As of 8/9 4:36am it has passed Ft. Madison, Iowa. :)

I used to live in the Springs, also lived in Denver. Spent 20 years in Colorado. We have every intention of moving back someday. I would get the update. The way I see it, I trust Ford to build the car, I will trust them when they offer an update. That is one of the things I am really liking. How many cars have you had in the past that the manufacturer can(does) offer updates. I see it kinda like updating an app on my phone.

Ha! The slampro name comes from a business I owned called Slam Productions. I (used to) do concert booking, promotion, sound, and etc. It actual has a meaning, Sound Light And Music. It's ok, I have learned that I can trace it through either CSX or UP. It appears that they all use the same database for tracing. As of now, it is still in a holding pattern around Chicago.

Not necessarily, you can download it on to a thumb drive and install it yourself. You have to log into your sync account to get it. There are instructions on how to do it there also. Most seem to have been able to do it quickly( 30 mins or so) and not have any problems. Others have had some issues with downloading, and or installing. There is a lot of info in this thread about it.

Hi, and welcome to the forum. If you are getting and Energi(plug in type) for that price. I think it is a good deal. I would specifically ask about each update/recall. Some dealers have been good about, some not so good. I don't blame you for liking it. I was sold on the first test drive. The second one confirmed it, and we ordered. The third one had me anxious for mine to get here. P.S. We are getting a hybrid SEL model with 303A package, remote start. Our window sticker says $33,850. Invoice from what I can tell is $31,250(ish). I expect to pay around $31,5-$32,000.

From the album: Slampro
2008 Ford Escape Hybrid we are the original owners. It has leather seats, 6 CD nav/sat radio, moonroof. I have installed blue LED ambient lighting in the front under dash, and in the back under the front seats. I have a class 3 hitch on it installed by U-Haul. I did the wiring for trailer lights. I have hauled a BMW motorcycle inside a 6x12 enclosed U-Haul trailer from El Paso to Albuquerque. I have towed a few trailers a few times. No problems whatsoever. -
Well, can't sign up for BNSF. Have to have a yourname@yourcompany email. I used to, but not anymore, oh well. The car is now at Blue Island Illinois railyard in Riverdale, still in Chicago area. At least it's one day closer. Eric at Ford(Facebook) said he saw an eta of 8/18. I really hope it gets here sooner. Our payment is due on the F150, so we are going to see if we can do the trade in and paperwork tomorrow.

The more I read from +3, the more I am  :headscratch: By the time I get done I feel like :twister: hit me. I love how technical you get, even if it mostly goes over my head. It has led to much learning, for many others as well, I am sure. :worship: :worship:

YEAH!!! Hopefully mine is still just a week behind.

It might work. ;)

:woot: Mine is somewhere between here and Indiana.

Been calling the numbers all day no change. Then I hear a different company mentioned. (IHB) Indiana Harbor Belt R.R.. They have an online tracer... :happy feet: They....gave it to BNSF at 1:06 this afternoon. [EDIT] IHB is a switcher company it is in a holding pattern around Chicago. BNSF....has a secure trace both over the phone and online. You have to be a customer to trace the car. I signed up, to see if I could get access. I am the transportation supervisor of the piano service, and we :airquote: may need to ship some pianos. They say it takes a day or two for a live person to review and approve/deny your registration to be a customer. As of now I can't track it and don't know where it is...at least I know it has been moving(I think). :waiting:

Oh my goodnees. I am so sorry to hear about your wifes' accident. Glad to hear she is not hurt. Probably scared the holy :censored: out of her. Scary stuff!! This is the first I have heard of this happening. I read through the complaints at the site listed above by Plus 3. There is one other mention of this there. The other things that are there are problems others have had, and I am pretty sure they are all fixable. This concerns me though. I have only seen these two incidents, but the Toyota thing, at one time(before we knew about it), started with only two incidents.

Ok, couldn't stay up until it crossed the Mississippi. As of 8/6 @ 5 am, it arrived in Gibson, IN. It's almost halfway to halfway here. ;)
-
I have been calling about every hour to check update. :kookie: At 11:55 it departed Fowler, IN. It is making good time, :shift: if it keeps up it might be here by the end of the week(fingers crossed). I am not going to bed tonight until it is on the west side of the Mississippi. :sing_rain:
