I think 3M double sticky backed tape is the safe way to go, just do it right the first time. :) Paul

I haven't set it up for that yet. Currently Impg's,WT,IT and RPM's, not sure what to get rid of to put SOC in. I wonder if charge rate and discharge rate stay the same over the life of the battery. Also I was reading that you can get higher % of charge if the Li ion Battery is charged slower. :) Paul

Going by the graph at 50Kmi. you have lost about 10%. :) Paul

EV does take a light foot for sure to get the most out of it. :) Paul

Having problems viewing video in that tuffs are moving to fast and lack of contrast. I need to figure out how to slow motion it. Nice try, I have orange tuffs made but haven't got camera yet. :) Paul

Sorry, I meant my CMAX vs NEW CMAX/FFH I think the HVB loses some power over time. :) You really have to watch what you say. LOL  :lol2: Paul

The 2014 CMAX is barely out so there hasn't been any time to know of any issues. It would appear that the two years are identical for the most part. I think most people have not had any significant problems and I have 51Kmi with only a seat belt receiver replaced when new and alignment issue at about 20K so I can't complain. I hope they figure out your problem soon. :) Paul

Did I mention my alignment was out on my CMAX causing my tires to feather on edges and make a lot of noise. There is no adjustment for rear suspension, you have to replace part of the suspension to change the alignment. I ended up reversing the rotation of the tires to make them wear the opposite way so the noise level has gone down, but I'm looking forward to a new set of tires, but not the cost. :) Paul

I think this is for looks only, there doesn't appear to be any significant air flow there. :) Paul

What tire psi are you using? I didn't buy MADMAX to be a spots car, but it does fine for me. It looks like I will get 60Kmi. out of mine, with 51Kmi on them now. Have been using 49-50psi for last 15K. :) Paul

That's scarey, Hope I never have to do that. :gaah: Paul

I go uphill all the time depending how much SOC I have in the HVB. I usually approach a hill with a little extra speed and bleed off some speed in EV before ICE takes over and if you still have enough SOC EV will assist ICE going up the hill. :) Paul

I thought someone determined that FORD didn't change the final drive ratio. IMO new HVB is a little more peppier than old one. :) Paul

My experience is similar with EV+ working about 1/4mi from home and work. I work 2.4mi. from home and 100' higher elevation for work so I get 35-128mpg going home and 29-45mpg going to work. HVB SOC makes a big difference in MPG's on short distances plus ICE temp to a lesser degree. :) Paul

Best Engine RPM for minimal FE loss.
ptjones replied to John Sparks's topic in Hybrid Driving Tips & Tricks
I'm glad you didn't get hurt doing that video. How long did you go before ICE had to start charging again? 80 degrees is about the prefect temp and I don't think it gets much better at high temps. :) Paul- 99 replies

I would hate to give up any MPG's on the Pirelli's, Michelin's got the best MPG's in testing. :) Paul

Are you saying that ICE will run using no gas? Are there any side effects in doing that? I will try it next time I'm going down steep grade. Thanks :) Paul

I think what you say makes sense. Do you know what the actual Voltage of HVB is, I have seen a few different numbers? :) Thanks Paul I just checked my manual and it said approx. 300Volts and going by your graph it would very from 150Volts to 300Volts.

VELCRO Adhesive problems with Grill Covers
ptjones replied to ptjones's topic in Accessories & Modifications
I use 3M to attach foam to grill and use contact cement on both sides of the foam and then stick Velcro to other side. It's obvious to me that Velcro changed the adhesive on their standard off the self Velcro but didn't on the Velcro for plastics. :) Paul
