  1. They do warn you to not over tighten and I still think it is a good idea. When I unscrewed the plugs the Aluminum was grabbing the threads, felt like it was stripping out the Cylinder head threads. Very scary to me. I tightened them by hand using ratchet wrench. Paul
  2. Here is a video showing how to do it. Paul
  3. It's running fine so far. Haven't got into a high temp situation to really tell. Here is a video to change the air filter so you can take the air filter plastic box out of the way( good time to replace your air filter) to get to the spark plugs. and here is one for changing the spark plugs, it's on a focus pretty much the same.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDiEBYCSu-gI didn't take the wires off the coils, didn't need too. Just take it easy poping off the coils from the spark plugs. I did blow some high pressure air around the caps to get any dirt away, you want to keep things clean and not dropping anything in the spark plug hole. It is a little scary unscrewing the plugs, but every thing worked out fine. Put some anti seize lubricate on the spark plug threads so it will be easier the next time you need to remove them. :) Paul
  4. Half way through the 2013 model FORD changed from SP531 to SP530 which is a little hotter plug. Can't find any info on why. Paul
  5. Not in bad condition, gap was still .05", but when ICE was hot and accelerating up hill it would run rough sometimes after I used injector cleaner. Seems to be working fine with no noticeable problems. I went from SP531 to SP530 plugs. Update the problem was right half shaft CV joint, no change in MPG's so I didn't need to replace Spark Plugs after all. :drop: Paul
  6. I finally replace my K&N air filter and as you can see with about 155k miles the inside is still clean and you can see daylight through it. the back side is dirty toward the edges. Looks like I could go another 100K miles. :) I had a new FORD filter that I replaced it with that I had bought 4 yrs. ago. :) Paul
  7. You could do everything through the light bulb hole. :headscratch: Paul
  8. You need to open up the hood and on the right side are the posts to jump the battery. :) Paul
  9. Being a CVT it doesn't shift, it's all done with the Electric Motors. :) Paul
  10. If you really want to be accurate check you Odometer with GPS and you will find it is noticeable off which will improve your MPG's :) Paul
  11. It took 4500 miles which works out to 6.5 fillups. :) I haven't reset my second trip gauge and with 55k mi. I have 53.5mpg so 52.5 actual mpg. So I'm thinking about 5k more miles I will hit Life Time Score of 50 mpg. Paul
  12. Is this the site you tried to go too? http://fordcmaxenergiforum.com/?Try a different browser, I use Crome and Fire Fox. Paul
  13. You Tube views are up to 8232 now. My Life Time Score just went up to 49.9mpg and my Fuelly for the last 10 fillups with a trip to NY and Austin, TX is 55 mpg. This shows what kind of gas mileage you can get if you use the info from My 3 You Tube videos plus the warmer temps. :) Paul
  14. On my trip to Austin, TX my Life Time Score went up again to 49.9mpg. :yahoo: With 200 k miles now. Paul
  15. To me it seemed to very with ICE speed, for sure take it to the dealer, that isn't right. Paul
  16. For telescope mirrors they spray CO2 on the surface and it removes any residue easily, probably not easy to get one. :headscratch: Paul
  17. What was your actual gas used? I most of the time put 13 to 13.5 gallons in my car with the car holding 13.9-14 gallons. It is pretty safe to go to 0 to E and have 25 miles to go. :) Paul
  18. What was your actual mpg? Smart Gauge figured you used 11.87 gal. :) Paul
  19. I agree you should join FORDCMAXENERGIFORUM.com, alot of good info there. :) Paul
  20. It is possible to take out the headlight assembly and take the light out and wash out the inside. Not that much of a job maybe. :) Paul
  21. Is it parked in the sun? You may have to do some polishing on it. Paul
  22. I think you are right, Thanks Paul
  23. Are you kidding me? :headscratch: Our Michelin's are V rated which is faster than the car can go. :) I disagree with you on being terrible on wet and snow with many miles in those conditions, they may not be the best, but definitely not terrible. IMO with 198k miles on my CMAX. :) Paul
  24. I cross rotate very time which minimizes cupping caused be direction of rotation. :) Paul
