  1. The C-Max HF35 is not a sealed unit. It has a fill and drain plug.
  2. All cars come with two FOB's. It doesn't have a separate FOB to start the car. You have two identical FOB's. One is a spare. You can install the factory system. You would need to special order all the necessary components and use the Ford factory scan tool to configure the vehicles control modules to set it up. It would cost more than you're willing to spend x10.
  3. From your explanation it sounds like exh. boom. It's pretty common with this body style. My wife has a Toyota Matrix and it comes in @ 70 mph without fail.
  4. Probably ice or something blocking one of the backup sensors. Look at them and make sure they're clean with no obstructions.
  5. The unit installed by the dealer isn't compatible with the factory systems. It's actually considered an aftermarket system that's sold by Ford as a standalone system. No vehicle integration is possible with that system. The only way to set it up with 1 FOB is to install the factory push button system, control modules and reconfigure the car as if it was built with the system from the factory. It can be done, but the cost will be rather high to do it. High labor and high parts costs after the fact would make it prohibitive, IMO.
  6. It gets more and more like Kindergarten everyday. I rather enjoy how you follow my posts and express you opinion as gospel along with the wonderful self appointed judge and jury rulz over this site. Heck, who needs anyone else to monitor this site with all the effort you expend to stir the pot. You only came into this thread to attack me and let everyone know what a terrible person I am, because you don't agree with my views, opinions or how I express myself on this site. Nobody died and left you in charge. Please use some self restraint and stop following me around with your self appointed police badge. I understand you don't like me and that's fine with me, but to seek me out for your personal pleasure isn't gonna help anything. You keep attacking me in these threads and you'll likely fall victim to your own scheme. Your post is 98% about me and that's a personal attack in my book. PS: Please try to remember, this is after all a public forum and I'm allowed to express my opinion too ;)
  7. Ford doesn't make oil. They have oil bottles branded for sale as a Ford product. Don't pay extra for a Ford branded oil bottle. Buy a know good oil brand like Mobile 1, Royal Purple, ETC.
  8. Sorry you're having such overwhelming issue's with you car. The statement in blue tells me you know less that you think and it's not because you're a woman. You pound your chest and proclaim to be an industry expert and know what's NOT wrong with your car, but being the expert you are. You're unable to know WHAT's WRONG with it. I can tell you, I'm more of an EXPERT than you and no, I don't work at a dealer. If you weren't such a disgruntled person, you might find someone willing to help you more. Good Luck!
  9. Don't forget that wonderful bowling ball handling. It's a great way to roll down the highway :shift:
  10. Wait until your tranny swap needs to be programmed :lol2:
  11. The 14 is my 2nd C-Max. I missed my 13 after 4 months and had to get another one to replace it. My 14 has 4500 miles and I absolutely love this car. It's the best car I have ever owned and I've owned more than most people ever will. Probably more than 50 cars since 1975. This car is entertaining to drive and is extremely comfortable for someone that's 6' 1" @ 230lbs. My current average MPG is 79.6 and it pretty much stays there. I have trip one with 4K miles and over 101 mpg's :happy feet:
  12. Just so you guys know...... Adding these data capture devices can sometimes cause vehicle network problems as they can/will interfere with the vehicles ability to communicate between it's modules on the network. We have had proof that they can and will cause the Wrench and Service Engine lights to come on.
  13. Exh. boom is an RPM related issue. You don't understand it, so why not just let the dealer worry about it. Yes, roof racks are known to cause noise. They need to remove it to eliminate any chance of it interfering with their work. You sound cynical about everything. It sounds to me like they're doing everything they can and they are also keeping you informed about it. Let them work on it and relax.
  14. Sounds like the car is total a junk pile and you should trade it on a Toyota to make everything right again.
  15. Yeah! Trade that scrap wagon on a Toyota and your world will be right again.
  16. You do know that you can get a rental car elsewhere and get a reimbursement, right ?
  17. Most dealers will soak you when buying oil from them in comparison to Wal-Mart. I buy Royal Purple 0W20 full synthetic from Amazon because Wal-Mart never stocks it. I pay about 35 bucks for a 5 quart jug and get the OE MotorCraft oil filter for about 6 bucks and do my own service work. Don't buy oil from the dealer. It's a waste of money.
  18. OCI = Oil Change Interval......... I said reduce the OCI to go loner between oil changes. Whatever you chose to call it (reduce/increase) it's purpose is to reduce oil usage and waste oil production.
  19. It's the Gov. that has made the requirements to reduce the OCI. Filters are the weak link in this 10K mile OCI game.
