  1. Why would the SA be involved in this. They're clueless and should stay in their cubical. Sounds like the 2nd tech is familiar with these and knows why it's not functioning properly. I would request that he be the only tech to work on it too.
  2. I drive all city for work and really don't need to go on the freeways, so I purchased the Energi. I don't use gas unless I leave town and that's rare. I also have my diesel pickup and prefer to drive it when taking trips anywhere. For me the NRG was the best choice. Frank covered it pretty well, but remember that diesel is a higher price fuel.
  3. Correct: All NRG's are SEL trim.
  4. You need to program them. Roll the window down, then hold the switch in the full up position. When the window reaches the top, continue to hold the switch for 3 to 5 seconds after it's closed. This will set the limiter control and activate the auto up function. Do this for all windows that aren't auto closing.
  5. It's not a charging system alarm.... It's a low 12V battery alert, but IDK if it's available on the hybrids.
  6. Sounds like you have the sensitivity turned down.
  7. Turn the AC off and keep the blower on, but use the fresh air mode. You'll need to clean and treat the evap core to correct the problem first. Then you'll need to keep shutting off the AC and run the fan for 5 min. in the fresh air mode to keep the mold growth down. You should also replace the cabin air filter.
  8. Do you have the switch in the second step/detent position ?
  9. Your AC stinks because you don't shut the compressor off 5 min. before you park the car. The AC evaporator stays wet and it grows mold and mildew on the core. This is a common mistake and GM has setup an afterblow function of the blower motor to reduce the condensation on the surface of the cores fins. They also make a product called Frigi-Clean and Frigi-Fresh, by BG products. It works very well and can reduce the odor, but you'll need to let the system dry out before you shut the car off. After you get conditioned to it, it's not hard to remember to do it.
  10. It's designed to soften the abrupt throttle changes of standard cruise control functions. It will apply the required amount of CC to hold speeds, but it's less abrupt and will allow a longer delay to get to the target speed from elevation change. I find it most useful on flatter roads that have mild peaks and valley's. It's not really apparent, unless you're paying attention to it. I use it all the time and find works pretty well. It will accelerate hard, but it's a kinder gentler CC :noobie:
  11. I would make an appointment and ask the S/A what the wait will be ;)
  12. I had to walk to school in the snow over two miles and it was up hill, both directions :)
  13. It can also allow them to have room to go around if their hair is on fire too
  14. Searching isn't popular :lol2:
  15. Nationwide, as far as I know.
  16. It's become such a problem that the state of WA has added a law to the books. If you're not passing anyone and driving in the left lane, you will receive a ticket. The drivers from WA. that show up down here are never in the left campers lane. Around here, the right lane has become the new fast lane :lol2: When riding my motorcycle, I always see the self entitled jackasses at the head of the pack with no one in front of them riding along creating long lines of people tailgating each other waiting to get around them. Thank god for lane splitting in CA. The main law that's always been in effect in the US and has had signs on the freeways since I was a young boy, is still the same today and reads as follows. It's absolutely dead simple and even a cave man could understand it. SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT !!! No speed limit statements. No traffic lane statements. Nothing to confuse anyone over who has the right to block traffic.................. Read it and if you see a grill in your rear view mirror, YOU ARE SLOWER TRAFFIC...........MOVE TO THE RIGHT!
  17. Any scan tool that is capable will do it, just don't ask me which one will. I use the IDS on Ford's, so I have no idea about what aftermarket tool will do it. If it's that big of a deal, pay the Stealer.
  18. That's a vent, not a subwooooooofer ;)
  19. The Sony system is paired with the Nav system. It has more speakers and more wattage output with 2 sound settings. Driver or All seats. The center speaker on the dash makes a huge difference between these systems. Both my 2013 and 2014 C-Max NRG's had/have the Sony/Nav and that was the number 1 requirement for me.
  20. Most Prius "drivers" ( I use that term loosely) that I've ever encountered have been rather piss poor drivers, IMO. Most of them out here are the typical self entitled type that drive in the left lane without a clue and hold up the flow of traffic. When you pass them on the right, they're just like bumps on a log and never get the hint to MOVE over to the right. It's been a real problem out here since the very first Prius was released. I have yet to encounter a C-Max driver doing this. Most C-Max drivers are keeping up with traffic or just not blocking the left lane.
  21. Toyota and Ford have traded numerous patents on these transmissions, but the HF35 is made by Ford in Warren MI. Here's a Ford diagram of this trans. It's an eCVT and there is a difference.
  22. I'm 6' 1" and 220 lbs. I love the roominess of this car. I never feel cramped or confined in it and never worry about smacking my head when getting in and out. It's one of the most comfortable cars, I've ever owned. I'm use to my Ram crew cab pickup and the C-Max still feels roomy when I dive it ;)
