No you don't need a CC. You can also use the "Destinations" app to map your trip and send it to sync. When you access Sync Services, "Directions", it says there is a route waiting, do you want to use it.

Salsaguy, you might also try Avis. I drove by their airport location in San Diego and saw one sitting in their lot. Worth a try. There are also several dealers here with cars on the lot, and I've gotten emails from my dealer showing great deals on several of them. Since I've already got mine I haven't checked them out. But it would seem that there's a good supply of them (SE and SELs) of various colors/levels in SoCal. I had wanted a hybrid for several years, and when one came out built by an American company, I decided to take it for a test drive. Great car! Speedy when you need it to be, economic as well. I'm at 42 mpg average over the last 4000 miles.

Nope. You can hear it lock, and the lights on the mirrors blink, but no chirp or honk. If it's bright outside, and you have traffic noise, it's difficult to hear/see that it has locked. If you lock with the fob, double clicking the lock button, it will honk.

I haven't had any trouble syncing my Iphone 4S (with one exception: a couples times it didn't sync when I started the car. I just activated voice, and said "phone", and was told "Sync is trying to connect to a phone" then it connected). You can't message with the Iphone through Sync itself, as far as I have experienced, but if you hold down the button on the phone to activate Siri, she will deal with you via the car mic/speakers, and anything she can do when you hold her in your hand she can do through the car (found that out by accident).

If I were in your seat, Adair, I'd at least try to get to the 500 mark. I THINK you'll be able to get to work with no problems (just don't follow the directions from your Nav -- you might end up in another state!). Rachel, you are TOO weird (and funny!).
