  1. Added. Welcome to the club...our 30th Member
  2. Hee...only by a measly 0.5. Those 33mpgs early on are killing me  No worries, there's so many talented drivers here and I look forward to someone breaking it. Even Mark Spitz' records go one day...jus sayin'
  3. Start a thread in the Hybrid driving tips section: http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/forum/42-hybrid-driving-tips-tricks/ Thanks Seth7721 :)
  4. Awesome, nice to see another CMax hypermiler here with frbill, orphoto, Matt and I. If you feel inclined, perhaps you won't mind dropping some driving tips in a thread here. We still have many members here striving to break the 600 so I like to get the high milers here to help out. Matt has done one and so have I - and let me point out the Matt is also doing some aero mods as well and the 1st to break the 650 & 700 barriers. Just to help the other drivers achieve... I just saw you post - yeah, I am from Los Angeles (San Fernando area and the temps here are constant like you but no humidity). Matt is Illinois and right now hes in a good climate but it does get cold there. It makes sense a Florida driver will get this as well - and great news to have the whole country covered west coast to east coast. Yes :happy feet:
  5. See 1st and last post... http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/1025-600mile-cmax-club/?do=findComment&comment=7134 Congratz :)
  6. :happy feet: Please welcome Set7721 aka "Super Sipper from fuelly.com" who got in with 724 :drop: miles on the tank). He makes the 4th driver to drive past the 700 mile... ... mark and our 29th member. Funny enough, I found this mark a few days ago and lo and behold - he's a poster here too. Small world :hi5: 1 more member to hit the BIG 30!!! :happy feet:
  7. No worries, then I'll fill in what I can. Take a look at Post #1 of that thread, we track a lot of info for our members. Welcome to the club and next time, lets take a pic so I can fill it in as I am sure you'll hit this mark and more again
  8. Its automatic when you post here...and you got 20 posts already. Now, you got a pic of this breaking record so we can post this up as proof to the others? Otherwise I'll need to make a note of it as fuelly only. Plus we :wub2: gawking at these high miles  That would make you the 5th in the 700 drinks bar. 600 gets you in the door ;) Mind you since we're all a friendly club, anyone can sit with anyone if this was a physical club...plus then I can enjoy the drinks that Riddley was suppose to buy for everyone...ha...thought we had forgotten, didn't he ;)
  9. Speaking of fast cars, I could also go the OTHER way with the Tesla S as well. Somehow, I can't see myself playing the MPG game in that thing....I dunno, doesn't seem right
  10. Goood stuff 11stilimited, good to see this thread revivied again
  11. Don't laugh...that could be very true. Infact, they were considering mileage tax with a GPS. Yes, yes, it raises a privacy issue but don't forget who is in charge here (and with SUPER majority where the opposing party is merely room warmer status) and they luv taxes like children luv ice-cream.
  12. Yes. F-Type Jaguar Or XK Jaguar About the best gas cars Jaguar has made :)
  13. Not at all, I was back to driving the freeways and like before I noticed the battery was the same as before I switched to all surface street. I think the misunderstanding here is the battery SOC and speed. The lower the speed, the more ooompf the battery has. 35 mph on 1/2 SOC is a good MPG builder, while the same SOC at 60mph means it will last your a minute or 2. Sometimes I wish Ford had given us more capacity like the Energis for these higher speeds.
  14. I was not aware of any of the CR Prii deal so thats fascinating news to me. To me it seems like the cycle is repeating itself here with the CMax. I think though, as a whole the posters here are very respectful, we may take a jab at other hybrids but I doubt if its hate. I know I poke fun but it does not mean I hate the Prii since I did drive one a number of times and can respect it. However, this is the Internet and when in the real world - Prii driver to CMax driver, I think theres common respect and real fascination with the other car. I cite myself - this weekend I had a great chat with a Lexus CT200h owner down the street from me. I was just as fascinated about his car and he was with me, we discussed MPGs, driving styles and no ego from either of us. I like his interior and Lexus build and all and he was curious with mine and he liked technology but I didn't have a chace to show him the MFT. I did tell him about the 833.8 tank (c'mon its a Palindrome, how hard is it to forget that - thanks Snowstorm!). On the net, this could easily have been a huge flamewar. Screw the net, I think we're good in the real world :)
  15. Is this the same Seth7721 aka Super Sipper on fuelly.com who did 724 miles according to fuelly.com? Dude - if you are, we need to add you to the 600+ CMax club... ;) Got photo?
  16. C-Maxgo - follow the PM, thats more important than anything else ;) If theres any Qs, as I posted before, feel free to ask, cost nuthin.
  17. At those temps, it crazy not to use AC, even I would - screw the MPGs. By the way, AC on means you work a wee bit harder to maintain the extra charging needed for the AC. It can be done and should not be that costly, for those who still want to game it in the heat. PS the heat means your startup cycle is cut way less, probably around 0.01 to 0.02 fuel usage ;)
  18. Cool...does this mean your dad will be a 600 Club miler before the FAMOUS RachelInLA (mind you he has to sign up here though) ;)
  19. Telling me...this car JUS GOES. I took the freeway back cause it got hotter than HELL with AC so that dropped my MPGs back to the mid 50s but still, what can I say. If I wanted to, I could surface street it back and it woul dbe mid 60s. I hope that this is whats waiting for all of you when you get to 15,000+ on the odo :)
  20. Matt, what about the side mirrors? Is there a way you can build some sort of aero/sleeker front end that you can bolt/tape to the front of the mirrors? Right now, these things are like air brakes to the car...
  21. Great post....I forgot about that commercial when I replied...but you're right....its similar. My wifey :wub2: that commercial as well, great "in your face" or "fight the power" ad, for sure  Anyone can find truth to analogy...jus go to any Prii forum and search the CMax and the hate is there, they're not shy about it. God help you if you say something nice, especially MPG there.
  22. I get your point but no a minimum isn't needed. In fact, short trips are one of the primary reasons for poor mileage so showing ourselves and others that the CMax/hybrids can do well under these circumstances is beneficial. Oh how the whims of a forum changes.... ;) We did have a thread here where you posted your 25+ miles MPG because the posters back then were complaining that these super high MPGs were not fair because they were too short!!! Heres the thread: http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/862-who-says-it-cant-be-done-post-highs-here-over-25-miles-traveled/ So if we're still on the short trips are tough....this was yesterday, when I was going to the golf course (El Cariso to Hansen Dam). Trip 2 was tracking my days run (yeah, I know, I took a break from the MPG-free vacation)... and then I headed from Hansen Dam to Roger Dunn at North Hollywood: Nutz :sing_rain:
