  1. The gray grouper could be Tip's twin LOL
  2. I have had "grouper" pop up in mind several times when looking at Tip.
  3. Hubby just popped in our WeatherTech digital liners. They went in easily and look great (fronts only purchased). We vacuumed and cleaned first. Checked tire pressure and it was 32 in all four so hubby upped it to 38. I am the bone head that ordered two sets of front digital liners in grey. So if there are any BC Lower Mainlanders out there, I have another set of fronts in grey for sale at the price I paid $140 including tax. I prefer not to have to pay for the shipping to send them back. Tip will deliver them and if you don't have your C-Max yet you can take her for a spin. I will email my salesman and he may be able to sell them for me.
  4. Good idea to get people checking build dates and see if there is any correlation with the dead batteries. I will knock on wood too and say ours was built November 8th and nary a problem thus far.
  5. Yep, we have daytime running lights in Canada on our C-Max as it is required by law. Rarely use them as I routinely put on the headlights due to the rainy climate here--need to be seen from the rear too. We never drive without headlights on.
  6. Well said Jus! You are such a thoughtful fellow. I echo your sentiments--stay safe everyone. Spring will be here soon and then we can scoot around in our cars.
  7. Rachel I just asked Cyberdman for an update. I think Monday is a holiday in the States so we should have a new status update on Tuesday. Fingers crossed.
  8. Miller I haven't seen one here either. Seems weird to be the only C-Maxer out and about. Today I had my first person notice and ask me about my car. They noticed me dancing like a Cossack at the rear end of Tip <g>.
  9. I use my toe only, but no heel resting unless I come to a complete stop and then my toes are on the brake and heel on the floor.. That is my recollection but I will play closer attention tomorrow when I have Tip out.
  10. Well we live on the Lower Mainland of BC and officially it is a rain forest, and it really rains here and I see no decrease in mpg in the rain. Yes, with lower temps as it takes the car longer to warm up. but not rain. My husband ruins my excellent mileage as he is always cold and cranks up the heat LOL.
  11. We test drove the Fusion Hybrid and my husband found the brake pedal and gas pedal were too close together--so we scratched that car.
  12. The only time I experienced grabby brakes was when my new C-Max was parked in the showroom--with each tire sitting nicely on a little piece of carpet. I said I would like to drive it out the big doors. Well I started slowly and couldn't seem to move forward easily so I gave a little more gas, I spurted forward abruptly, and stomped on the brakes and lurched in a jerky fashion while three employees ran for cover. Very embarrassing as every head in the showroom turned to watch LOL.
  13. Thanks for the update as I have been waiting to see what they had to say. A modulator eh? Hope it comes in soon.
  14. Roggie any window sticker coming up for your C-Max yet?
  15. Another fair minded review. It seems the Canadian reviewers are a lot more reasonable in their write ups abut the C-Max, and don't get hysterical over the mileage issue. http://www.montrealgazette.com/cars/Ford+does+with+ecologically+friendly+means/7912160/story.html
  16. This photo is one that looks exactly how Rachel's new C-Max will look. http://www.shutterstock.com/pic-50932282/stock-vector-cartoon-vector-gray-scale-illustration-toad.html Lately my husband has driven my C-Max a couple of times and I have been waiting on the sidewalk while he drives up and I swear Tip looks like a toad coming down the street.LOL I think the toad in the photo looks like an Ice Storm C-Max.
  17. Ouch! I have to confess I haven't ever put my seats down since buying it which is negligent. Did it in the demo, but didn't try mine so I will do it tomorrow and keep my hand away from the C-Max pannini press.
  18. Canada converted some time in the early 70's believing that it would assist with trading throughout the world, and that the US would soon follow. I still get discombobulated at times. One thing I don't like about it is the GPS when it says "turn right in 250 meters". I can grasp in my mind how far a kilometer is, but "turn in 250 meters" still is abstract for me. I would be better with "turn in two blocks" LOL. Often I mutter oaths to myself with the meter issue. What does the GPS say in the States for turns coming up?
  19. What a bone head I am! I ordered the digital WeatherTech floor mats for the front of my C-Max. I thought they seemed awfully expensive for two front mats i.e. $279. Well UPS just knocked at the door and it appears that I ordered two sets for the front. I just emailed them confessing to being a dolt and asking them to send the rears and pick up the extra set. It's just two easy-click and you have something ordered.
  20. Welcome to the forum! We got lucky when we ordered in Vancouver. We ordered about Oct.8th and it was here by November 29th. The birthday of my car was November 8th. We are loving our car, but my goodness the mileage can be all over the map. Today I had one 5 mile run at 4.0 L , another 5 mile run at 5.3 L, and a little 6 block jaunt at 28 L. That last one threw me for a loop--not sure what happened there as the car was nicely warmed up and the temp outside was 10 C. I've never had one that high before.
  21. Rachel I think you tried the Park Assist when you had the demo? It is beside the Park Assist button--underneath the climate control stuff.
