Thanks Adair. The ratings are good, but that pole crash one doesn't look survivable. But maybe crashes into poles never are.

The video of the pole crash test didn't look so good. I can't find a summary of the results anywhere. Anyway have a link?

That is funny Julie. I think my C-Max is of superior genes and the sky is the limit for her.

Part 2 Let is Snow...CMax at Mammoth, California
Laurel replied to Jus-A-CMax's topic in Lounge: C-MAX Hybrid
Lovely photos. I am jealous. Hubby and I need to do a road trip and go see Mammoth. -
Good point Darrell. I'll snap out of my funk.

I think you should be able to go back to your original post and edit it. Look at your first post and then down at the bottom and look for edit and click on edit and change the title and that should do it.

MyTouch didn't want to shut off...

Thanks for letting us know Jus-A-CMax. You are such a helpful positive optimistic member! -
Ryan I hope you get your VIN soon. I would love to see another C-Max. Starting to feel like I own an Edsel with all these bad experiences. It does get disheartening to read about all the problems.
-
Good grief! What a bummer. I would be leaving it at the dealership and tell them you won't be taking it home until they can assure you that they have the problems fixed. I guess I have been very lucky as my C-Max has been problem free (I am knocking on wood right not so as not to hex my car). I'm very sorry for your troubles.

Rachel if you look at mtberman's post today under time to delivery, you will see he bailed on his special order and got a dealer to find what he wanted. He ordered at the end of November and had a build date for the 3rd week in January. So I guess your situation isn't the only one with a huge delay. Sounds like his dealer had to do a trade with another dealer to get what he wanted.

You can't configure the outside temperature. It is only displayed under the leaves gauge on your dash instruments. When the new nav. update comes out, it is supposed to be on the nav. screen, but right now you only have the little temp. display under the leaves.

That is the new updated Myford Touch program. It seems that all of us C-Max owners will be given new SD cards in the first quarter of this year so that we can update our systems, and hopefully the people that have very buggy systems will find an improvement. Our MFT works just fine (knocking on wood).

You're welcome. Just play around and you will discover all sorts of stuff. This site has some good info. http://www.ford.com/technology/sync/features/

We started to see some C-Max ads on TV about a month ago. No longer being shown and the local dealer where we bought has no more C-Max's. We have yet to see a C-Max on the road in the Vancouver, BC area. We are the only one so far. I guess there just aren't enough built, or maybe they aren't go to be popular here. We have not had one comment on our C-Max since buying it--no one seems to notice it thus far.

That is great news mtberman! I do really like the sterling gray (we have Ice Storm which I like, but don't love as much as I thought I would due to our gray skies here). You will have fun with the park assist. If you are feeling any winter blahs, go out to a street and line up for a very tight parking spot with the park assist. Guarantee you will get an adrenaline rush as you sit back with your hands off the wheel LOL.

I'm old and never have my radio cranked up that loud LOL. Sounds like a good thing to me as I hate hearing cars next to me at traffic lights with their cars kabooming so loudly that their cars shake. But for you youngsters it may be an issue. I went to Apple to listen to Cachaito as I have never heard of him, and actually the music is quite different, lively, and catchy to listen to.

Since you have the SEL, you should be able to just use the voice command paddle--don't need to set anything up. I change my temperatures all the time with it. I say, "Climate" and the voice comes on and repeats "climate". You wait to see the listening ear and the word listening on the screen. Then just say "temperature 70" for example. She will say "temperature 70. Is that correct?" Then you pause for the ear and listening on the screen and say "yes". You can give her all kinds of commands like "climate off", "climate on", "decrease fan", etc. Very nifty and fun. We made cheat sheets for commands as she can be a little picky with the wording. Hubby finds the same with little traction on the knob and he loves giving the voice commands. On the same paddle thingy on the steering wheel, you can turn the volume up and down for your radio, voice commands etc. All very fun stuff to play with. Good luck and ask away if you have more questions. It is a learning curve for sure. I like saying "navigation" and then when she responds I say "I'm hungry". Then you get a display of various restaurants that are close by.
-
That is the only spot it is displayed. It will be interesting to see if it is on nav. screen when the update comes out.
-
To synchronize your clock to GPS, tap the time display on the nav. screen at the top centre and follow the series of commands. You may have to scroll down to the next page. Hubby sync'ed ours in the first week and it has stayed accurate.

Follow MSmith's tips. The round knob controls brightness and the button to the left of the round knob changes the colour. I have mine set to a nice lavender right now. Your door wells, your coffee cup area, and your foot wells should light up nicely in the dark.
-
I just went to the garage to try what you asked. Lighting comes on when you open the door with fob in your pocket, but to get it lit before you get to the car you need to press the unlock and things light up.

I have wondered why some have so many issues and we have none. Love the MFT so far. -
Would you buy the CMax if the advertised MPG was below 47/47?
Laurel replied to Jus-A-CMax's topic in Lounge: Off-Topic
Four stars out of five--would give it five with better mileage. But absolutely would buy it again as I love my C-MAX! -
For the blondes on the forum, I searched to see what TSB stood for and found out it is a technical service bulletin. Likely I am the one who didn't know that <g>.
