I can't believe that I'm getting this good of milage when its raining and cool. I'm running the wipers, lights, heated seats and radio of course. I'm in north central Ohio and am planning a trip to Harrisonburg Va. this summer( extended family all over the place around there). I'll see how bad the trip over the mountains in Penn. and down past Cumberland Md. will do to my milage. Just as long as I don't have to pay Virginia's big hybrid tax for driving there. Hoping the Michigan get together happens and will be going there to.

I just drove to work in the rain. 52 degrees 33.6 miles( 32 at 65 -70 and 1.6 city streets) average for the trip was 47.6mpg. Haven't been using cruise control. I might try setting ECO cruise one morning and see what I get. Traffic heavier on the ride home and get 46+. Short trips off highway have gotten as high as 60mpg. Only have 1600 miles on her so far, so still breaking in. Can't wait to see what she tops out at.I love my Maxie :wub2:

I get upper 50's on short trips and 47ish + - on my 33 mile highway commutes to and from work.(65mph)

Have had mine a month now. Still breaking in and getting 43.2 to 58.3 depending on the temp outside and speed. My daily commute is 33 miles(30 highway 65mph and 3 city streets) Have been get 46.8mpg to 47.2mpg. The car is just now starting to remember my frequent destinations and allowing me to go into EV+ mode.(home, work, grocery store) For instants I drove 3 miles to a store that I don't frequent very often got 45.6 mpg going. Coming home EV+ turned on and I averaged 58.3. The more you drive the better the milage gets up to I believe 7500 miles then mpg's top out. I love mine. I test drove a Prius and did not like it.Road noise was bad, seats hurt my back, no power, cheap plastic everywhere. The C-Max is a far better car.Quiet ride, seats are great on long trips, better quality interrior, and power if you need it. Hope I helped you make up your mind

Dealer told me bring in for first oil change at 5M then every 10M after that

My SEL has the OBD panel. Opened it and just has the port to plug into. No button

Cmaxer I think he knows have the better car and he just wants to try to get me going. I test drove a Prius and DID NOT LIKE IT AT ALL. As soon as I drove the C Max I knew it was the better car no matter what the A@#$#^ at consumer reports and my administrator say. I managed 49.1 mpg yesterday in the rain. Can't beat that. :wub2:

I had to go to a meeting across town yesterday. It's about 20 miles of mixed driving and I averaged 49.1 for the trip. I have been averaging 47 (+ or - a couple of points) on my drives to and from work 35 miles one way 32 freeway miles at 65 and 3 city streets ever since it warmed up. :) 1300 miles on her now and still breaking in. My boss has a Prius and is bragging that he is getting 55 to 58 in it now that it has warmed up. :rant2: Whatever!!!. Maybe I should challenge him to a race. ha ha ha.....

I drove 70 on the interstate for 35 miles and averaged 46.6 for the trip.

I had tape over the 2 outside holes None on the center. I removed the tape as a precaution.

Us here in the north have FINALLY seen some warm weather this week so been outside doing yard clean up. Getting ready for the first mowing of the year. Have another blast of winter coming across the plains though so reality check will be here in a couple of days. :sad:

We have been having a warm spell this week.(60's mornings 70's afternoons) My drives to and from work have been averaging 47 mpg each way. 35 miles one way (32 freeway 65 mph and 3 city streets) No cruise control used and still getting the high numbers. My EV+ has figured out were home is. Nothing else will envoke EV+ yet.(still waiting it will happen work, grocery store, ect...) Only have 1200 miles on my baby so far. I've had short 3 mile trips as high as 58MPG. Hope this is sign of thing to come this summer. I LOVE MY C MAX :wub2:

I saw a fuzzy white baby bird with big black eyes looking at me from his nest last spring. Thought it was an owl but turned out to be a baby kestrel. I watched and saw mom come back. Turns out to be 2 babies in that hole in the side of my barn. I have all kinds of animals around my farm.

My SEL came with it. I turned it on and watched it while I drove. It shows what the system is doing as you go. Shows when your charging batteries , ICE is on .your in EV. Tells you that the ICE is on and for what reason. (It is on because of excelleration or charging.ect...

Try checking European CMaxes for anything about upgrading the radio. I've seen a video on utube about replacing speakers

I got 47.2 mpg coming home from work temp was 55. The very next day same trip temp was 45 and only got 42.1 mpg. My car is learning my destinations and is starting to use EV+ more now. Late spring is killing me but my mileage is getting better

Some people just don't know how to drive a hybrid. I get 47.2 on my 35 mile drives to work on the freeway. My cars EV+ has started remembering my destinations. For instance went to a small town close to home got 41 mpg going and 58.2 coming home the same route both ways. Car never been to the town so ran normal mode going. Coming home EV+ turned on Just got to let the car do its thing

I know what you mean about the gas prices. I was putting 52 bucks every 5 days in my Pontiac. Now 40 bucks every 2 weeks in my silver C Max . Congrats !!!!!!

I'm 6' and have 3 to 4 inch clearance with the seat set to its highest setting.

I have empower on the left and ICE temp on the right
