  1. Can't wait to go back to visit in Puerto Rico. I have family on the island of Culebra. Nice quiet place. Most of the island is a national wildlife presurve. When I go I always rent me a Jeep Wrangler and run around toppless ha ha ha.... :hysterical:
  2. I saw 2 in one day here. They're still flying off the lots around here, so I'm starting to see them on a regular basis
  3. That's what I suspected all along. The 12 volt battery closing the contacts to the high voltage battery. click click click
  4. I lost 4mpg this morning. Oh it was 30 degrees with heavy frost. Is summer ever going to come to Ohio?
  5. I live in north central Ohio right at the start of the Apl mountains. East and south of me gets hilly and west north west of me is flat. It depends on where I'm going. Thats why I was surprised when I saw my mileage after a trip into hill country. I just past 2500 miles on the odometer and have started seeing 50+ mpg trips on these warm days. I'll see how I do when I drive to Harrisonburg Va. to visit family this summer. My boss has a Prius and he says he get 55 mpg in the mountains going to S Carolina. Told him I saw him on the VW hybrid commercial getting past by a camper in the mountains. Ha ha ha
  6. Hope your car is ok. That would stink if you had to go through the whole ordering and waiting process all over again. I just got to work (early as usual,) and parked inside a parking garage instead of the surface lot I normally do. They are calling for strong storms with high winds and hail here today. My baby will be well protected at least until I leave. Hope I don't drive into anything until I get her home and into the garage.
  7. If we could convince these Prius owners to drive one just once, there would be a lot more C Max owners out here. One drive is all it takes and your hooked
  8. Just had my first trip to work on the freeway at 65mph with 53.1 mpg. :happy feet: My baby is breaking in nicely
  9. Beam me up. There's no intelligent life on this thread. :sos:
  10. Congrats It took me until 2000 miles to break into the 50 mpg range. (And waiting for temp to warm up.) Keep up the good work
  11. Oooppss I said I got 49.3 mpg That's not right. It was 49.6 mpg :)
  12. C Maxgo I just took a trip to a city 19 miles away. I took 2 state highways with lots of steep hills and curves, temp was 72 degrees. I used ECO cruise to try it out. It would use the ICE to climb the hills and switch to hill assist on the down hill sides and charge the battery. EV would engage when it could on flat portions. I got home my Maxie went 48 miles and used .9 gal of gas at 49.3 mpg. ECO cruise worked great. This was the first time I had used it. You will start to get better mpg's now that the weather is getting warm. I can't figure out how some people are only getting 32 mpg. They must drive it like they stole it. Can't good mileage driving like that in any car. Keep us posted on your mpgs
  13. I test drove Prius didn't like it. Test drove the CMax and knew right away this was the car for me. I have back problems and the CMax seats are the best. You sit up right with perfect posture in them. All other cars have you sitting on the floor with your knees hitting the stearing wheel.
  14. Thanks Jus- A-CMax I've been trying to do everything right to get the best mileage possible
  15. Just went on a shopping trip last evening. When I got to the store and shut the car off boy was I surprised. 50mpg for the trip!!!! :happy feet: (15 miles on 2 lane state highway 55 mph. Temp 72 degrees)
  16. I've noticed that just below 70 (67-69) it jumps to 42-43 mpg. I never use cruise so that I can feather the throttle and get the best mileage
  17. Gas is up to 3.65 here now and still going up.
  18. With all of the freeway driving I do the best I have seen on a tank was 578 miles(I was on fumes 1/2 gal left in the tank). I don't think I'll ever break into the 600 mile club. I don't want to run out of gas on the freeway 10 miles from a gas station. Still love my Maxie. I figured up what I would have spent on gas in my old car and Maxie has saved me $200.00 after just 7 weeks. CHA CHING!!!!!!!! Way to go Maxie
  19. I live in the country and drive a lot of freeway miles. I average 47mpg depending on the temp on my 35 mile trips.(one way 46.4 to 47.8). As I stated in another post. I can drive my CMax 70 miles round trip on the freeway and use less gas than it takes to mow my grass on a lawn tractor for 1 hour. I use 1.4 gals to drive each day and 1.5 in my lawn tractor. Not counting the push mower for trimming and weedeater gas. Thats even more.
  20. Can't help you there. I have a 4x4 truck I drive when the snowballs are flying. Don't want to put Maxie in a ditch.
  21. Born in the 60's so 70's-80's music for me. My mother was Puerto Rican, so I have a big collection of latin music also. Voice command has a fun time figuring out Play Artist (latin singer name?) That lady is like SAY WHAT? :hysterical:
  22. Below freezing again this morning. My trip to work was only 44.4 mpg. Is it ever going to stay warm around here?
