Anyone know how to turn on the active noise cancelation? The car I test drove had it on and working (nice and quiet) My max I ordered isn't quiet at all. Need to know how to turn it on.

Probably forgot to upgade the padding for the american market. Europe doesn't require it I bet.

Just thought of something. Is this the same software as the plug in Energy?

This might explain something I've noticed. I have a gravel driveway until I get to my garage. When I stop at my mailbox in the evening the front door doesn't want to shut tight, but once I'm in the garage on level concrete It has no problem. I always thought the car was getting racked slightly. If this recall is for some reinforcment it may fix that problem too. :detective:

I see lots of maxes here in central Ohio. Just saw a SEL energy at a shopping center yesterday. I have noticed that I haven't seen a single comerial for them in at least a month now. What's up with that? Thanks to the recall dealers can't sell any now or even let anyone take test drives. I have to take mine in for the recall when the parts are available at the end of the month. The service guy told me that yesterday when I took mine in for an oil change. Don't care what they say. I like my C Max. Even with lots of freeway driving my lifetime average is 44mpg. That's with the break in and winter driving. I average 49.8 mpg now with 5,000 miles and warm weather.

This explains why all of the dealers around here have taken there C maxes off of the web and lots

I just had my 5,000 mile vehicle health report and it showed up on mine. I still have to get in and see what it's about. I'll keep you all posted

The way I under it. EV+ engages while traveling into a recognized area. HOME WORK STORE ect... about 1/4 mile out. It turns on to let you get a little extra out of the battery to get you there. It doesn't turn on when your there and leaving the area.

Good morning all I was on my way to work this morning. All quiet, no radio, no phone sync, and just as Maxie turned over 4900 miles the voice command came on. Would you like to run a vehical health report? Please select RUN NOW or ASK ME LATER on the touch screen. I didn't know it did that. Haven't seen a post on it yet so hear you are. I didn't have my phone on so maybe it does it automaticly and couldn't in my case so had to ask. Anyone have opinions?

I like the storage under the rear seat for an umbrella. I never fold down the rear seat so it's perfect for me. I have a truck and trailer for large items. Thanks for the info I would never have found it if someone here hadn't posted it. I liked that during the winter I would remote start my Maxie and the front and rear defrosters and even the outside mirrors would defrost. It would be all ready to drive when I got in. I like the way you can hold down the remote unlock button for a few seconds and all of the windows will roll down. There are a lot more just too many to post. These are my favorites.

Tinted my windows also. Helps with the headlights behind you. Also the headlights in the side mirrors when on multiple lane freeways.

Same here. My friends had a Fussion for a loaner while they're car was being repaired. I liked it and was looking to get one when I saw the C Max. The head room and comfortable seats sold me on the spot. Oh and over double the mileage of my current car. Ordered my Maxie that day. I'll never go back to a regular car again.

I'm the in between driver. I drive the speed limit and don't do a lot of hard exceleration. I don't use the cruise control much. I could get better milage if I did. I pulse and glide on the city streets and I keep an eye on the instant mpg gauge on the highway and try to keep it in the 40 mpg range.

Welcome aboard I've had my Silver SEL since March. No problems at all. I have been getting 46.5 to 49 mpg's on my 35 mile freeway trips to and from work at 70 mph. Have had as high as 60mpg on back roads and 2 lane highways at 55. Just wait until you get yours broken in with the warm weather now you can easily get these numbers to. Any questions just ask. Using high octane gas does nothing for better mileage unless you have a high compression engine. It is added to retard the gas so that it doesn't ignite before the piston reaches the top of the stroke(knocking or engine won't stop ever with the key off). If the engine is doing this you need to run higher octane gas. Some people that need premium and don't use it are just destroying there engine. The low octane gas ignites while the piston is still moving up in the cylinder before the spark plug fires. Just need to use the amount of octane the engine needs to operate properly. Anything extra is just a waiste of money.

Dealers here are selling them as fast as they come in. I see them all over the place now

Just got 60.1 mpg today on a 10 mile drive on a highway at 55. Love my maxie

Sounds Great !!! My best so far has only been 60.1 on my 12 mile trip to the grocery store.

Didn't think there was any. I just keep being told there is by several people over the past week.

Several friends say they heard that c max was being recalled for an ICE problem. I can't find anything about it. Anyone hear anything?
