Congratulations :hi5: , have you decided what your going to get? -
:happy feet: :headspin:  "The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is cutting the amount of ethanol and other biofuels that must be blended into the nation’s fuel supply, a victory for oil companies that call the federal ethanol mandate unworkable. On Friday, the EPA proposed draft 2014 blending volumes under the federal Renewable Fuel Standard that are lower than the 2013 requirements, and far less than called for in a 2007 law that expanded the mandate. The EPA is proposing to require 15.21 billion gallons in 2014, down from 16.55 billion gallons in 2013, marking the first time the agency has lowered the target from the prior year." :jump_earth: http://thehill.com/blogs/regwatch/energyenvironment/190422-epa-retreats-on-ethanol

One thing I always do when dealing with ANY customer service dept. When the rep answers with or without giving their name and employee # I always ask for it or ask them to spell it as I document date/time/name. You can feel them snap to attention :salute: . -
Our car was built 01/13, when was yours built? Ford changed some of the dash display info in later build dates. You might want to print this picture and my statement. "I have never hit the "OK button while "Instrument Dimming" was displayed. The dash lights ALWAYS come on at this setting." wab

This was posted on another forum I also spend too much time on. "Now here’s a first — crooks who realize the importance of customer service. It’s the latest twist in the global CryptoLocker ransomware attack. This diabolically nasty malware locks up all of the victim’s personal files — and in some cases, backup files, too — with state-of-the-art encryption. The bad guys have the only decryption key and they demand $300 or two Bitcoins to get it." http://www.today.com/money/cryptolocker-crooks-launch-new-customer-service-website-victims-2D11586019

Here's another thread. http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/360-xenon-bi-xenon-hid-headlights/ Most people don't use HID's for high beam. When you flash your high beams the HID's take a few seconds to start so you don't get a flash, if you hold the stalk they just slowly come on. Single bulb systems use Bi-Xenon bulbs, low is HID, high is still a Halogen. here's a link showing a Halogen H4 and a Bi-Xenon H4 http://www.carlight.nl/images/vragen/bi-dual-xenon_en.gif -
"$100 or $250 (each side)," I've changed our oil twice, there's only 1. The next time you have your oil changed have them leave it off, they have to take it off. Make sure you get ALL the torx bolts with the cover. We towed ours over a dead truck tread, scratched the heck out of it but didn't hurt it.

OUCH if you did hit him that hard there will be much more damage than just the AC. Bumper, brackets, grills etc., etc! If it was my checking account I would be seeking a second opinion or letting my insurance handle it. good luck
-
AH HA and now we know what happened to you and 13B07. If I was you EVERY TIME I took my car in I would hold the fob in both hands tell the service writer tried to take it. Then say "REPEAT AFTER ME this car has the factory installed remote start!"
-
Greetings and Welcome "Not even 1000 miles yet" Like you I think the first change should be done sooner than later. You might want to wait a few weeks for your first oil change, you motor (ICE) only has about 500 miles on it. Subtract EV miles on your left display from the odometer ='s mile's on your motor.

+2 "fbov" Always max would bug me BIG TIME!
-
+1 on cheap (China) I haven't seen any "cheap" LRR tires. 2 yrs from now???
-
How are your tires holding up? Have you thought about more Michelins (UTQG 480) are maybe a little less efficient tire for a lot less $? After a quick look at TireRack it looks like the Yokohama AVID Ascend (UTQG 740) will last longer, cost less up front and get almost the same mpg???

She probably picked a bad time of the year.

Watching "Person of Interest" CBS. A yellow C-Max cab in the first minutes of tonight's show.
-
AH HA... I wasn't testing in acc. I was in ready to tow mode (our primary concern) car off but transmission in neutral. This could get confusing in a hurry! Going back to edit my posts # 55. wab

3 in 7 seems like a lot. There have been several purge valves replaced. We've had 2 in 30+ they were on the same tank. Stuck my finger in the first time, cleared, came on again stuck my finger in some (???) times cleared and hasn't returned. Probably 5k+ miles since. pg 1 of this thread and post #7 and 8 http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/462-check-fuel-filler-inlet/?hl=purge&do=findComment&comment=1625

Our EV+ goes away almost every time we take it in. "There is a way to force it to learn a location" Key on off or push start then stop 11 times at your favorite parking spot.

Update: "3. Does this disable the honk twice (please!) if you shut the door without the key in the car, when it is on, replacing with the chime?" From inside running car and door opens = chimeS Get out of running car with fob leave door open = chimeS no honk honk Get out of running car with fob, close door = chimeS stop HONK HONK From inside car in accessory ready to tow mode with fob and door opens = NO chimeS Get out of car in accessory ready to tow mode with fob leave door open = NO chimeS and NO honk honk Outside of car in accessory mode with fob, close door = HONK HONK (no chimeS) Edited, hope it's close!
-
"2. Does it chime only when the door is opened with the car running, or any time the door is opened (because the key is "always" in the ignition any time its in the car)." It only chimes when the door is open and the car is "running" no chime when in accessory mode and door open, that would have been bad when the car is being towed.

Have you reset Trip 2? I hadn't ever reset TRIP 2 so for my first oil change I subtracted EV miles from Miles ='ed miles on the ICE. "Is there an accepted percentage range that one can use to deduce the EV portion?" I'm still resetting trip 2 when I change the oil because most of our summer driving is at or above 75 mph ='s more than "normal" miles on the ICE.

This does bring up a good question. When does the FIRST 1 yr clock start? The very first time the motor is started? When the cars goes through make ready at the dealer? Our dealer didn't reset the Monitoring System when we had our free oil change. "Change Engine Oil Soon" came on several miles after 10000.
-
It does a time or miles whichever comes first. "C-MAX full hybrid vehicles are equipped with an information display which indicates the proper oil change service interval; the interval is up to one year or 10000 miles (16000 kilometers). When ENGINE OIL CHANGE DUE or OIL CHANGE REQUIRED appears in the information display, it’s time for an oil change; the oil change must be done within two weeks or 500 miles (800 kilometers) of the ENGINE OIL CHANGE DUE or OIL CHANGE REQUIRED message appearing. The oil life monitoring system must be reset after each oil change. See Engine oil check in the Maintenance chapter." Your dealership didn't reset the "Oil Life Monitoring System" Here's how to do the reset "Resetting the Oil Life Monitoring System Note: Reset the oil life monitoring only after an oil change. 1. Turn the ignition key to the on position. Do not start the engine. For vehicles with push-button start, press and hold the start button for two seconds without pressing the brake pedal. Do not attempt to start the engine. 2. Press both the accelerator and brake pedals at the same time. 3. Keep both pedals fully pressed. 4. After three seconds, the Service: Oil reset in prog. message will be displayed. 5. After 25 seconds, the Service: Oil reset complete message will be displayed. 6. Release both the accelerator and brake pedals. 7. The Service: Oil reset complete message will no longer be displayed. 8. Rotate the key to the off position. For vehicles with push-button start, press the start button to turn the vehicle off completely"
