Greetings and Welcome We have a little over 3000 towed miles on our cmax sel. Zero problems. Have you seen this thread? Lots of good info about using your cmax as a toad. It's close to the bottom of the home page under "Cargo, Hauling, Roof Racks & Towing" http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/374-recreational-towing-behind-a-motor-home/ How far along are you in getting your car ready to tow? We ran a charge wire from the HM it has 12V and ground on the 7way plug. Most if not all of us are installing tail/brake lights in the cmax, there is plenty of room + you don't have to disturb the cmax wiring. Both of these are easy DIY's or shouldn't cost much to have your RV dealer do the install.

I've been an active member of several forums, this is the 3rd that has had a problem with a member. One of my RV and 1 motorcycle forum have had a couple of members get in arguments but they never lasted very long. BUT A few yrs ago on a Nissan 300ZX forum a sponsoring member (his business was selling 300ZX performance parts). Was banned because most of his replies were one or 2 words. "search" ... Because new members keep asking the same question. and "Wheel Police" the wheels on the 80's ZX are directional. It's much happier :) and fun to keep the links handy, greet the new member and point them in the right direction. After SEVERAL warnings he became belligerent... he and his Co. were banned for life! Ouch that had to hurt! A couple of yr's ago on the Edge MKX forum a member started bashing and threatening a vendor, he was banned, signed up under a new name... was banned again. The 3rd time seemed to convince him, but he didn't have much to contribute after that. On that same forum a moderator seemed to be very abrupt and abrasive. I've accidently touched that button a couple of times reaching for the settings, home, etc buttons. Said "WHAT happened to the radio" the first time.

Is the this tank the first to drop? Maybe you bought some bad gas? The brake score is not good, maybe Maxus reverted to pre 13B07 OR has failed (been corrupted). Check your pods someone may have turned them 90* :yahoo:

My wife was just the opposite, both worked every time. I eventually stopped trying :gaah: . After the TSB the lift gate works almost every time. A few days ago I tried the door lock...IT WORKS... :salute:

There almost seems to be multiple causes, starting with the wrong battery. When the 6.0 F250 came out it had several problems. One of the worse was chafing of the wiring harness, they eventually fixed them. Human nature says (proven over the last few weeks, this Was NOT the first time the government has been shut down) that they will make this mistake again. Ford has maybe isolated the most common cause and are just looking for the most cost effective way to fix most if not all SE's. wab

Let your dealer look for it, they really are good at finding/fixing hard to find stuff like this.

I noticed some of the same noises when I was researching drdiesel1's USB problem. Evidently the cars starts to go to sleep a few minutes after the door is shut but doesn't finish for several minutes. I've gone back to the garage a long time after closing the car door and could hear a fan running, it's cooling the HV battery. There's a thread about the fan buried in here somewhere.

I thought all USB's have an LED, all that I have do??? My Oldest, 512MB (paid BIG $'s for it ) has a blue one. Our C-Max (Hybrid) never pings the USB unless the car is on! Again I suggest you take your Energi to a dealer. "Without knowing what DTC the system is reporting, you can guess and futz with the car all day and get nowhere. You need to know what code is stored before you can assume what the problem might be. The PCM will store a code based on what it's reading from input data. That will tell you what system has an issue and you'll need to diagnose it from there. Guessing won't do anything and could cause you to set a false code. By opening the seal on the fuel filler neck, you'll cause the fuel tank pressure sensor to see the pressure change that shouldn't be taking place and it could very well set a code that the dealer can't duplicate. Then they'll keep the car for testing and waste more time on something you caused. Keeping your car for longer than needed. Just keep tinkering with it. When they keep it for a month and can't find anything wrong, you can complain about it to Ford. Stop monkeying around with something you don't understand."

It's the "clone stamp tool". My most used tool. I use it to repair old scratched pictures and 35mm slides after scanning. I used it to Fix the plate on Maxus. wab

Maybe this new dealer is not confident of their ability to fix :detective: a 1/2 upgraded car? Plus you have to very VERY careful/diplomatic when dealing with someone else's customer.

This is on my winter Won't todo list, along with HID's, $ and time! I'm looking at 6 LED strips or maybe a modification (NOT opening it up) to the headlight. I do like where yours are mounted just would like a little less width and maybe lower in the grill. Something like this? wab

We just had ours done. It chimes for a little while when the car is on and you open the door to get out, just like all other US cars. I'm not sure what would happen if the car is moving??? This is not what 13C07 corrects. wab

Lawyers :baby: DW sat for more than 2 hours this summer in 100+*'s a couple of times. ZERO problems, cool inside, the ICE ran for a few minutes a few times, wouldn't want to do it in a "normal" car hard on it.

Dealer replaced BTZ*19A387*A MODULE - INTERFACE NAV and USB are now working ;) .
