That's just it, the Shark is an AM/FM antenna (it screws in where the whip is), just not a Sirius antenna.
-
I thought the Shark just replaced the AM/FM antenna and the black box that it covers was the Sat/GPS...hhmmm wouldn't think that thin plastic would stop the Sirius signal?? Testing has begun wab Edit: 6:55PM I just switched to Sirius found my favorite station, then removed the whip. Sirius kept working, which goes back to the question. Will the Shark plastic block Sirius?

Open invitation and question to those struggling with their mileage.
wab replied to Recumpence's topic in Fuel Mileage
A lot of our driving is in the mpg death zone... 60-65. Doesn't bother me, we'll be in the high MPG MPH zone 65+ a lot this summer. -
That reminds me! Are the 5 led license plate bulbs bright enough? I had tried some of those auto supply 1 led and they didn't work out at all. Not nearly bright enough and would stay on (very dimly) for an hour+/- after locking the car.

I noticed you haven't voted in the "For those who have had 12v Battery problems" POLL http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/1294-for-those-who-have-had-12v-battery-problems/

Here's a link telling how to find your "Build Date." And to print the "electronically-rendered version of the sticker." http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/1016-where-is-the-build-date-on-the-window-sticker/?hl=%2Bbuild+%2Bdate Post #'s 3 and 6

Copied from the link http://www.juicedhybrid.com/Ford-C-Max-Shark-Fin-Replacement-Antenna-s/1345.htm "Ford C-MAX Shark Fin AntennaThis sleek stylish aerodynamic antenna screws directly into your antenna base for great reception and a sporty look." The last Ford antenna I changed unscrewed so I checked the cmax...No problems. Here's basically the same fin but cheaper, along with other links. http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/5854-antenna-or-not/?hl=antenna Check the pictures on this link http://www.visualgarage.com/Product_Installation.html

What's the price difference between E0 and E10? In the same town, neighborhood, and day if possible. Thanks

What did Ford do/say when they worked on your Energi?

I ordered 2 sets of the 28(not 20)-SMD's, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008KP7MIA/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Used 1 in the puddle lights and the other in the cargo area, also MUCH brighter, whiter and easy. Now for the license plate.

That's it. I'm going to have to keep better records for oil changes. I also DO NOT trust "idiot lights." Or the "I$10$" behind the wheel. A friends wife killed her motor "I just knew I could make it home." He had it rebuilt. YEP you guessed it. "I just knew I could make it home." The repair shop did a good job on the motor but ooppss forgot to repair the radiator.

" I ordered a mounting kit for my radar detector." I looked at the radar mount and don't think it will fit, because of the rain sensor??? When THEY get here let us know how your mods work out. When I finish the LED's I'm going get a "shark fin" or revisit HIDs.

Was it just an add? I clicked on it (several times) nothing happened.

I like these back doors into the systems, this the second. Questions: How did you find this back door? Anybody try it on a hybrid MFT?
-
Anyone wanting to do this mod but worried about not having the proper tool. My long nosed pliers were a little to fat to fit in the mirror. So I used a regular ole flat bladed screwdriver, that's all just the one tool. Fold the mirror out Rotate the glass out and up Ok ;) you may need a flashlight pry the socket out, pull the bulb/socket out, you don't even need to pull the socket completely out of the mirror housing. swap the bulb test before reassembly, you may have to turn the LED around push the socket back in the housing pull the mirror in adjust the glass Took longer to type/spell-check than it did to do it.

Oh goody another "You need to change you oil EVERY day" no no "Just wait till the idiot light COMES on" thread. Personally I'm having to rethink when I change my oil. I've been changing oil/filter every 7K miles with synthetic for years. But with Ford recommending we change our oil with only 6K miles on the ICE...hhmmmm

Same for me "I look at all the threads on the forum" But I'll stop if I'm going to be part of a statistic.

. "Hubby was cold." The button that says "AUTO" is the master thermostat. The button to the right that looks just like it but says "MAX AC" is the passenger thermostat, turn it. "What do you set your temp on?" COMFORTABLE I spent to many days in 100+ N. TX. heat to have it any other way, we are talking pennies per tank!

Recreational Towing (behind a motor home)
wab replied to jmckinley's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Roof Racks & Towing
. . If you haven't read this whole thread take a look on pg1 post #4. When you DO NOT put your foot on the brake and push the Start/Stop button the cars goes into accessory mode. Pg1 post 4 "Just got my cmax setup to tow behind the motorhome. Had Blue OX base plates installed. Towed it home with no problems. Took two weeks to get a firm answer from Ford on proper procedures to setup the car for towing I.E. placing the ignition in accessory mode. Owners manual only explained a keyed ignition, I have the keyless push button. Was told they should be adding those procedures in the owners manual in the future. For those who want to know the procedure, I was told is to start the engine and run it for five minutes then shift into reverse and then into drive, then into neutral. Leaving it in reverse and drive for several seconds. Once you are in neutral take your foot off the brake and then push the start button to shut the car down. You should run the car for five minutes about every 5 to 6 hours if continuing to tow the car. Hope this helps and if anyone was told a different procedure chime in here and let us know." When you read this thread be aware that things have changed as more info is gathered/posted. Example: "You should run the car for five" Nobody has been able to run the motor for 5 minutes. -

Here's a picture of our "White Platinum" piece above the license plate. It is NOT "Oxford White." I hate to say this... 30 yrs ago we were the victim of (hhmmm how to be diplomatic) a ^#*ing dealer. We bought a damaged NEW S10 Blazer. Dealer never admitted it but he couldn't explain the over-spray or window trim they never could get installed correctly, etc. The painted metal and plastic on the cmax match much better than the White Chocolate on our 08 MKX. I recommend you get a professional independent body shop to look at your car.

Red light capitol of the US. #3 reason we bought the C-Max  Oh You want the name of the city...Fort Worth, Texas

I don't think they ever find any trouble codes, that's why it's been SO HARD for Ford to find a fix.
-
Every 2nd/3rd or 4th (depending on what I'm driving) tank of E10 I burn I say to myself. THERE GOES another gallon that I did not need to buy AND 1 MORE gallon THAT DID NOT NEED TO GO INTO the Atmosphere!

Did you get your car fixed?
