  1. The only thing holding me back is, what if the carpet doesn't look/feel right. Looks like it would take some trim panel removal to get IT back in. Trim panels always have a "trick/secret" way of removal so I'm a little leery about removing IT.
  2. I finally had a chance to pull the carpet back again and take some pictures. There are some wires under the piece of foam, but they're low voltage. I pulled the foam a little and it (at least ours) seems like it would just pull out. Maybe this summer I'll pull it out and cover the wires with something smaller. LOOKS like a very easy DIY, you just pull the carpet from under the throttle and brake pedals.
  3. Take a look at post #66 by bob61571 and this thread. http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/1889-i-got-my-c-max-serviced-for-the-battery-problem-today/ You'll probably get a new battery when they do the TSB's. Give the TSB #'s to your service writer, if you have to.
  4. Drivers side rear heater duct, taken with the seat all the way back. That's the passenger floor mat behind the duct.
  5. I thought the NHTSA only worried about safety related issues? I also thought people who follow their GPS/NAV system on to a railroad track are automatically entered in the Annual Darwin Award? http://eeob.osu.edu/events/eeob-annual-darwin-award-presentations
  6. Thanks for the CC info. Now I have to contact my phone provider, they aren't sending my Caller ID info. wab
  7. Greetings and welcome! 13 yr. old VW, was it new to you? My son had 2 new VW's 10 yrs ago, he liked to joke that the reason they had two was because one WAS ALWAYS in the shop, he lost count of how many times the passenger windowS fell into the doorS. I think it's a German thing, we traded our BMW's in when the warranties ran out. Turn your cmax in on your way to work, they'll take you to work (wont they???). The TSB should be complete by noon, check on it about 11, get a co-worker to take you to the dealership at noon or after work. FYI: You don't have to use the selling dealer if there is one closer to your work.
  8. yep Yep and YEP I've noticed over the past few decades that car manufactures must use "new math" the first half always has more gallons than the 2nd half even if you drive it tell it's empty.
  9. We've been camping for 4 days, so I've had plenty of time to work on this (only took a couple on minutes). :camera:
  10. SolarForme These links may not help you, but you might find them interesting. 11. We used the X plan in mid Feb. with the $750.00 rebate for our hybrid. I also ordered some brochures but never received the $750 coupon, other people did??? some people (me) did not ??? it's a Ford thing. I just checked on myplan.ford.com, X-Plan saves $1566 on the Energi.

The quickest way for you to improve your MPG is to work on your brake score, 85% is NOT good. You need to be in the 95 to 100% range. No More: Tailgating on your commute. No More: Bumping the bumper on the ground at every red light/stop sign. Learn to focus your eyes a little farther down the road, that way you'll be able to anticipate stop and traffic slow downs...NO MORE panic stops. "So no one knows why it started at 8MPG after lifetime reset..." The last few cars we've had have MPG meters, they all show 6 to 9 MPG pulling away from the pump, 2 or 3 revolutions of the tires. I used to watch the MPG meter climb from 9 to 16.7 between the pump and the first red light (FYI: ALL lights are RED :rant2: in Ft. Worth) then start dropping back to 13.2 before the light changed.
  13. Sync Services question. Do you have to provide a credit card # when you sign up? thanks
  14. ouch didn't mean to step on your toes. What's wrong with Honda cars, the one we had was fun (Accord 2 door with a manual transmission) and flawless. A friend hit a dear a couple of yrs ago, at 45+mph. We've been riding for 40+ yrs, he didn't go down, surprisingly they didn't total his wing, BUT it did thousands in damage. I did see him drop his 72, CB750 in 1972. We rode from Ft Worth to Estes Park CO., long 1 day ride today a LONG LONG day in 72, he forgot to put his foot down :hysterical: when we stopped in Estes Park. Anyway sorry
  15. Does the WARNING on pg 243 of the owners manual apply to the Hybrid C-Max?
  16. Check with your dealer, a few yrs ago they would turn them on for $100.00. I suspect amoredsaint will be paying the same.
  17. Before we bought, I thought a Fit was one from a 1/4 mile. This black one caught my eye and a quick pic. Haven't seen a black one yet (Texas), white like ours several times, same car, 1 gray and 2 blue so far. Focus from behind, silhouette of a Fit and now WRX, very popular body style.
  18. “Plaintiffs are some of the tens of thousands of consumers who purchased a Fusion Hybrid or C-Max Hybrid" Question for Wingrider01, I asked my wife... she wasn't sure, maybe by the end of the yr when Ford has sold " tens of thousands" : Is this statement grounds for a lawsuit?
  19. Check this, would look good next to your wing :hi5: . http://automobiles.honda.com/accord-hybrid/
  20. Shifting to neutral while coasting down hill and pulling up to stop signs/red lights is old school hypermile. Not a good idea in a hybrid, hurts mpg.
  21. Reading your remarks dinged my bell :worship: ding ding ding. I grounded the new sockets per the etrailer.com video with a screw into the cmax fender. THIS is not a proper ground for these leds, the cmax is a POOR ground as far as these leds are concerned. This should be a closed circuit from the MH back to the MH and never touch the cmax ground. The ground wire from the socket should connect to the white wire from the MH and not go to "ground" on the car... I hope... and will check ASAP uuhh the next time we're at the MH. THANKS
  22. I like HOT coffee! Knew it was HOT, that's why I bought it. I complained when they turned the heat down!
  23. I ordered these for $12.99 for 2 BUT VERY bright. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008VJ9URQ/ref=pe_309540_26725410_item one worked, the other I had to put pressure on it to get to work. Same problem with the sockets I installed for the motor home. They DID snap into place in the new sockets but not the cmax??? I stuck a toothpick in the problem one, it worked. BUT I don't think I have a good ground from the back of the cmax to the motor home battery, when using the turn signal the other tail light blinks very dimly. The MH has led's. Till I have more time I'm using incandescent 3157's. These LED's are the brightest (68 SMD) I've seen. As opposed to the license plate lights I installed, plus they stay on, but very dim, for a long time after all the other lights go out.
  24. The clock was wrong again this morning. Here's the history. First 2 happend weeks apart, weeks ago and today, clock off exactly 1 hr. 4 days ago clock started being off every morning. NOTE: I did make some changes yesterday. "Have you tried turning off the automatic phone contacts update feature?" Yes Messed with "GPS Time Synchronization" and "Daylight Saving Time"...I KNOW...I SHOULDN'T HAVE!!! More if/when it happens
