  1. Looks like I wont have to worry about the cold ICE going from Zero RPM to 2900 instantly. 13B07 is an amazing :happy feet: FIX/upgrade for OUR cmax. Before the upgrade I couldn't use EV+. I tried a few time, got passed by a bicycle going up hill toward our house. Now that EV+ is back I can accelerate (slowly) to a little more than 25 before I turn onto our street. The battery is pretty much done by the time I'm in our garage. Which means that the next morning when I leave the house the ICE starts, warms at a reasonable RPM and is ready for 50+ by the time I get there.
  2. Wish we could depend on our GPS. Ours has failed 6 :nonono: times. We made an appointment to have it fixed but it did a "scheduled maintenance" the day before the service date, got the power train upgrade instead. It failed in Colorado last week on a vacation, we had our backup :headspin: hand held. It did a "scheduled maintenance" yesterday. Anybody know how to force a "scheduled maintenance"? I think I'll start a new thread for this. A Master Reset does not help, it usually does a "scheduled maintenance" after about 6 start/stop cycles.... not this time, it was probably a dozen.
  3. RaPieR I can't get your video to work? Might be my s l o w DSL?
  4. We're probably a good example of a family that deserves the :spend: $550. We were expecting mid 40's mpg EVERY tank! Before the power train up grade we were getting high 30's to a high of 40.2 in town  . After the upgrade we're at 44.9 (1/2 tank) Highway mpg was (we're in the 20% population area mentioned earlier or the #2 most populated state :headscratch: ???) 35 to 37, after the upgrade we get 37.9 :nonono: (4 highway tanks after the upgrade). We will not be seeing any 40+ mpg highway in the #2 most populated state. Our highway speeds are from 60 (soon to be 65) to 85 mph.
  5. Your car was built in 2012 so it probably has a bad module. I did a forum search for "GPSM" lots of good info. http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=search&fromMainBar=1 Did you see this thread? http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/1664-who-has-313-nav-and-it-works-properly/?hl=gpsm#entry14997 wab
  6. I can not believe that you would even hint that CR has an agenda! You have been banished to my "Someone who can read between the lines and think for himself" list. Shame on you, tisk tisk
  7. Brake light switches are usually adjustable. I'll crawl under there and see. Would be good to regin and NOT have the light on.
  8. Here are those sub threads. It's starting to look like we'll get 3 maybe 4 or 5 MPG better IN TOWN, but we were at 40.2 before the upgrade. http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/2681-recall-13b07-real-world-highway-test/ http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/2650-recall-13b07-the-guinea-pig-thread/ http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/2675-eeeeek-im-getting-a-new-acm-and-the-update-13b07/ http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/2536-ford-to-offer-free-updates-to-boost-hybrid-vehicle-efficiency/
  9. Best Hidden Feature we've found We spent the day at the water park with the :flirt: grandBRATS yesterday. Grandmother (Memaw) doesn't swim :headspin: ... almost will not take a tub bath. It was HOT and she was miserable! After an hour (102*) she was starting to "melt down." She went to the Cmax, started it, rested and read for over an hour. The ICE ran a little a few times...What a car :clapping: !
  10. I've worried about Energi drivers and us. We live at the top of a hill, if I turn left out of our neighborhood it's still downhill. I can be doing 50 mph when the ICE first starts. I DO NOT LIKE THIS :nonono: ! And force the ICE to start at ASAP. I was taught that the first few seconds a gas engine runs is where ALL the wear is. I can't even imagine how much worse it would be if the motor starts for the first time in the morning @ at 50+ MPH, I can see these things wearing out, using oil etc. in a few years. Thoughts...
  11. Same here. It was already in the mail when we were upgraded. Sounds like your upgrade didn't work. Have you checked your "Life Time" Regin miles? If it's not very low then you need to revisit your dealer. Ours was .7 down from 100+ (at least), when we picked it up. Before the upgrade we had a hard time maintaining 45 EV on level ground, now on the same road we can accelerate :yahoo: ! We were in EV at 55 and above almost never, now we go in and out often but not for very long, the battery is not big enough BUT we do EV for a tenth of a mile (looking for more distance as I learn) at 70+mph. Can't wait for some of the HIGH MPG drivers to report their results. Although someone did suggest they may have to re-learn to drive the cmax.
  12. I usually make a couple of 0 to 60 runs on all my cars with a Passport GTimer. Was waiting for better weather, and a few more miles on the ICE. I sure wish I had made them, my butt dyno says THIS car now has much more torque with 13B07. It's life the electric motor is actually doing it's job. Before I could not accelerate from 45 on level ground... Now SAME road 45 to 50 NO PROBLEM and NO ICE. :happy feet:
  13. wab

    not my car but

    From the album: WABs Max's

I had one of these yrs ago.
  14. +1 on the digital speedo PLUS digital everything else, that instant MPG meter is a TOTAL waste of space!
  15. The A4 navigation SD card has been on most Fords for almost a yr. :stirpot: The C-Max has had it for a few weeks :drop: or a few months :drop: depending on when your car was made.
  16. Plus 3 The car will continue to regin after the bat is at 100%, what does it do with the juice? Heat Sink?
  17. Like foto I'm not sure we have an "Information" pg. We have Navigation. We did have "Information" for 1 day when 3.6.2 aborted :drop: and it did show altitude, 720'.
  18. Are you planning to hypermile up and down or just drive up and down safely? I don't hypermile but have found that I can touch the brake just enough to regin and not use the friction pads. You're battery will be at 100% quickly. I use the hill descent but turn it off when our speed starts to drop. When our speed builds I briefly use the friction pads. Haven't used L. Short version: I drive it like a normal car but the people behind are probably thinking :lol2: " there goes another flat lander burning up his brakes."
  19. I know BUT 40 would be NICE! Hopefully it will beat the less than 37 we got on the last two trips (same destination).
  20. First 30 miles looks like this is what the Dr. ordered for this cmax's problem getting the first 47mpg. Before the upgrade it was a struggle to get EV at anything greater that 55mph. After the upgrade same road same speed EV 1/2 a dozen times :happy feet: . Sunday will be the other 47 mpg test, 675 miles most at or above 75mph :secret: .
  21. Update the Update the Update: It took the pro 3 times to get the update to complete. Looking forward to 3.7.# or maybe the 2014 iChevy. It'll take more than stable well written software to get me back in a GM!
  22. Sometimes the glass comes off pretty easy??? I have some white 28SMD's I think I'll try to fit. Thanks you probably saved me some $'s
  23. A friend gets a credit card from Kia because Kia messed up the EPA test on his Soul. Anybody think we'll ever get a credit card from the EPA because the EPA messed up the cmax test? :lol2:
  24. Two failures out of dozens of successful installs... probably pretty good odds, this time! wab
  25. Do you think 28 SMD bulbs will fit in the hole and would they be bright enough? http://www.amazon.com/Cutequeen-Lights-Bulb-Yellow-28-SMD/dp/B00BFO13D8/ref=sr_1_2?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1375746751&sr=1-2&keywords=28-smd+Yellow+SUPER+BRIGHT+LED I can't measure the depth, the car is at the dealer. Thanks wab
