Where's the best feed-thru point for wires?
wab replied to buckwild's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Greetings and Welcome Go to etrailer.com They have a video showing how ro install a Blue Ox supplemental brake system. It was very easy, I drilled a pilot hole from under the car. It looked good from inside so I followed with the big bit. FYI Both power points on the console go to sleep after a few minutes . I run a 12V extension cord from the power point in the hatch, it's always hot. hope this helps, let us know wab -
Lifetime Summary...hmmm hhhmm OOh... sorry disregard EDIT: We lost our lifetime sum. with 13B07. ???????? didn't we? now i gotta go look

This is starting to sound like the upgrade is not the problem. Sounds like you have a defective sensor, vacuum hose, etc. or It sounds like the CVT transmission is not doing its Constant Velocity thing. Take the car back to the dealer BUT MAKE sure your are having trouble before you drive in. DO NOT TURN THE CAR OFF!!! Get your service advisory to go for a test drive, demonstrate the acceleration, etc. problems. luck wab

Recreational Towing (behind a motor home)
wab replied to jmckinley's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Roof Racks & Towing
Maybe someone at Ford realizes they could take a lot of CR-V sales with a little software ;) . -

Recreational Towing (behind a motor home)
wab replied to jmckinley's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Roof Racks & Towing
HhMm... we haven't towed with the 13B07 yet but DW has used the AC for a total of 3 hours idling at the public pool and the park (while I play with the grandkids). The motor cycled on and off just like before. I wonder if it has anything to do with your charge/ground frm the MH? Research continues wab -
Take a look at these. http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/2651-tsb-13-7-10-12-volt-battery-discharged-will-not-hold-charge-radio-with-42-inch-display-only-built-on-or-before-6212013/ http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/2428-ssm-32298-2013-c-max-fusionmkz-hybridenergi-possible-water-intrusion-in-connectors/ SSM 32298 - 2013 C-MAX, Fusion/MKZ Hybrid/Energi - Possible Water Intrusion In Connectors Some 2013 C-MAX, Fusion/MKZ Hybrid/Energi vehicles may exhibit various drivability or electrical concerns accompanied by one or more diagnostic trouble codes, with the most common being P26C3, P26CA, P26D0, P2800, P2802, U019F and U0284. On C-MAX inspect connectors C134, C140, C144, C1651, C1717 and C1812 for signs of water entry/corrosion and service as necessary. On Fusion/MKZ inspect connectors C146, C1651, C1812 and C2251 and service as necessary. Most/Some of these connectors are evidently unused and not weather protected on the SE.Specifically the connectors for fog lights on the SEL... no fogs on the SE but the connectors are their. Both of these are generally speaking for SE's Check these and other TSB's in the"Maintenance, TSB's & Recalls" sub-forum located close to the bottom of the forum home pg.

Don't blame "Big Oil".... well maybe a little. BLAME Chicago, specifically the commodities exchange :rant2:! They have 99.9% control the price of oil, cows, corn, air...well maybe not air but it's on their TODO list.

Greeting and welcome Dead Battery was the #1 topic a few months ago, not so much now. Do you have an SE or SEL? And when was your car made? SE's are much more prone to battery failure than SEL's. TSB 13-6-23 seems to have fixed most of the SEL's. http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/2370-tsb-13-6-23-updates-tsb-13-5-1-hybrid-and-energi-cold-weather-charging-improvements/ SSM 33298 along with TSB 13-6-23 seems to have solved most of the SE's. http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/2428-ssm-32298-2013-c-max-fusionmkz-hybridenergi-possible-water-intrusion-in-connectors/ Warning: It doesn't take many times for a dead battery condition to kill your battery. Probably a good idea to put a battery charger on if you've been driving in the rain. You might want to print the TSB and SSM, a few smaller dealers haven't worked on enough C-Max to be aware of this problem. Hope this helps wab

This might not mater much longer. One of our larger suburbs just passed an ordinance. ZERO texting, Zero tolerance while operating a motor vehicle, red lights/stop signs included.

Wrong bulb type for cargo area lights???
wab replied to xanotos's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors & Wipers
Greeting and welcome We're getting lots of good info on this site, if you know any secrets please let us know. Take a look at this thread. http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/1898-puddle-light-upgraded-to-led/page-3 Post #58 has some pictures of the rear license plate lights, they are the same as the cargo area. It takes a small screw driver, use these bulbs. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008KP7MIA/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 much brighter -
The first time I read this I thought it was waiting for the ducts to cool. But then I read "AC set on "LO"", I'm pretty sure LO is and will stay LO till it's changed. When I put ours on HI it stays HI till DW is shivering, smacks me and I say...."huh OH :yahoo: it is getting a little cool isn't it"

Ford to lower fuel economy rating on C-Max hybrid
wab replied to slampro's topic in Articles, News & Reviews
It's not a conspiracy. With me own eyes, my wife and several of friends will verify this! Our little suburb is on a US highway maintained by the state. We have 5 red lights. One summer the state spent a week setting up the lights for the morning and afternoon commute. The next week we made most of the lights morning and afternoon. Then on Fri the city had all the controller doors open. Monday was back to business as usual, we stopped at ALL lights both ways everyday! A couple of yrs ago they admitted defeat and reprogrammed them. The merchants complained that their customers couldn't turn left into their businesses (traffic backed up bumper to bumper from light to light). -
Welcome to the wonderful world of lawyers, DoGooders, and people who will gladly think for you. Disclaimer: This IS NOT a Mini CooperS or any other front wheel drive car that handles! Take a look at this: Left 4 way/ok steering wheel control Left arrow till you see Settings at the bottom of the left screen Down arrow to settings OK right arrow on Driver Assist OK left arrow on Traction Ctrl arrow down to OFF OK Left arrow, left arrow, etc. Problem: you will have to do this every time you start the car. Good luck, drive safe and within YOUR limits, let us know if this improves your driving experence. wab

Ford to lower fuel economy rating on C-Max hybrid
wab replied to slampro's topic in Articles, News & Reviews
West Texas Intermediate (WTI), also known as Texas light sweet, is a grade of crude oil used as a benchmark in oil pricing. That's why ALL LIGHT ARE RED IN Fort Worth TX. We're also one of the TOP 10 cities with the worst traffic flow in the US! -
Ouch these things red line at 6K. Without a doubt your 13B07 did not install correctly. I think you'll be happy when you get a successful install.
