Tried that last week.
-
I've tried ALL the methods mentioned (fast and slow) front to back, side to side + clockwise, 15* angle etc. etc.etc... Out of a couple of hundred tries it's opened twice. My son has tried a couple of dozen times, never works for him. My wife has opened the hatch 9 out of 10 tries, closer to 48 out of 50. I wonder if Ford or anyone has considered foot size? I'm a 13C, son is a 13D, I can't publish :worship: my wife's foot size but it's not large.... a little long for a woman, it's a AA. Note: I gave up a few days ago, now consider it a gimmick that will probably be gone in a couple of yrs.

I bought a 1 yr old F250 6.0 with 18K on it. The oil looked fine on the dip stick, but when I got it home and changed the oil (I ALWAYS DO THIS FOR EVERY USED CAR) it didn't look so good, light brown almost like butterscotch. Sent a sample to Blackstone, was surprised when the report came back normal. ALL future changes (Mobil 1) looked like good clean used oil, didn't send anymore. Traded a couple of yrs ago with 120K on it. I have no idea if the original owner had changed it  and if so then what he used??? It WAS well worth the $ for my peace of mind :dogwalk: !

I would think JAZ and Hatchamn would like to have their factory installed oil back, so they could send it to the lab. They, their dealers and Ford would probably be very interested in the results!

And up, Ford is finally catching up :drop: with the rest of the world.

How do I operate the remote lift gate release?
wab replied to C-Maxgo's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
When I first read your Subject "How do I operate the remote lift gate release?" my first thought was "you don't" then I reread and thought OH she's not talking about her foot. :hysterical: -
"The only hitch is not knowing exactly how much more efficient one tire is than another." You can use the UTQS (Uniform Tire Quality Grading Standards). The Michelin OEM gets a 480, the Michelin Defender gets a 820 which means it will go almost twice as far for $92.00 less per tire. Sounds like the Defender would be the tire to go with, cheaper per miles traveled. Thanks wab

2) the station's pump was rigged to benefit the station owner. It was an accident... WE PROMISE... and it will never happen again.

What cool hidden feature have you discovered about your C-Max?
wab replied to armoredsaint's topic in General Discussion
Could it be your phone? Mine chirps when it syncs and a couple of time when it UN-synced driving down the rd. Did you get out of the car with it running when your friend drove? -
Am I the only one that doesn't care about saving gas as much?
wab replied to armoredsaint's topic in Fuel Mileage
1 or 2. entry/exit/comfort 2 or 1. 4 down towing ability behind our motor home 3. better than 25 mpg These are the first 3 on our list when we bought the c-max. 4 $... this one didn't make the cut. they were selling Escapes for less but #1 was better in the max. I chirped the tires  a couple of nights ago and we're still showing a little over 40 combined mpg. Take a look at your mpg, let us know? -
I did but I'm a gentleman so didn't say anything. :wub2:

"we will need our PCM( Power Control Modules) flashed to work with 3.5.1." Flashing the PCM is not a hardware forklift, it's like a BIOS update to your PC, or a driver update. Which means Ford is having to rewrite more "software" for our cars before we can get 3.5. Not a big deal but they should publish a new delivery date.

Same here, also works on the interstate! It's SO much better than our 08, people couldn't hear us in a parking lot with the motor OFF!

We briefly considered the CX5, same motor as the 3. Couldn't face the 155hp, lowest in the class! Even the CRV has 185.

Recreational Towing (behind a motor home)
wab replied to jmckinley's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Roof Racks & Towing
At first I'll use a small clamp, looks like a battery charger clamp but 1/2 the size. Not sure where I got it??? http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/IDEAL-Battery-Clamp-Set-1XWN9?Pid=search I'll probably use a small hose clamp for a more permanent connection. -
hybridbear you probably need to revise your future gas and electricity prices. Gas consumption in the US is going down. The oil refiners and oil speculators are having a hard time keeping gas @ $3.50 much less $3.75. The Gulf of Mexico is overdue a major hurricane = much higher natural gas (small/short spike in oil) = much higher electricity (large/short spike in gas). Per CNBC this morning, oil production is actually going up in the US, storage is almost at capacity.

Who has 3.1.3 Nav and IT WORKS PROPERLY?
wab replied to Jus-A-CMax's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
SEL 3.1.3 Build date 1/14/13 no problems. -
I think Sync is a slow learner but I think she can learn??? After she said "say yes or no" and I reply "say yes or no" 5 or 6 times, two different times. She has started saying "Is that correct" I usually answer "yes" sometimes I answer "no"

Do you hit the "View New Content" button?

Don't forget he's a SALESMAN first, last and forever. He would MUCH rather sell a 50, 60K F250 or Mustang than a lowly C-Max. So what time he has to spend keeping up to date he spends on the BIG BUCK items.

Did I read in one of the 3 threads that TSB 12-11-8 might not work for the cars with the Sony sys? wab

Ford needs to upgrade that "pentium" to at least a "pentium III" :yahoo: NOTE: I've never noticed the missing lines, build date 1/14/13???

I try to visit http://fordsyncforum.com/ a couple of times a week. Usually not much going on, I did help someone a couple of weeks ago :hi5: . http://www.syncmyride.com/ Not so often wab

Interesting :headscratch:, for the board but probably not for you. Try this. Next time you go to your car DO NOT start it. Foot off of brake and push the start button (accessory mode), carefully watch the screen. . . . Now foot on brake and start the car, again watch the screen. wab

B-MAX - Your car's little sibling in the UK

See the grooves just below the tail light. The door slides open like a van.
