So the dealership is going to have Ford pick up a month of our car payment since they've had it for this long.

Yeah, we're definitely going to start getting aggressive here. 4 weeks is pretty excessive for a remote start install - especially when I'm driving 150 miles a days in a lower mpg car.

Well, they've had the car for 3 weeks and still can't get it to work. I jokingly suggested "swap me for a CMax with RS already installed" and the manager didn't seem too taken aback by that.

No, remote start is definitely something I want in a car. I actually find that my mpgs aren't noticeably affected by using it, either. Plus, I start my trip with a full battery!

They are, but I don't know what to do if they tell me they cannot install remote start system.

When we bought the car, we bought it with the condition that they would install remote start. During finance paperwork, we opted to get the extended warranty and alarm service. They installed an aftermarket remote start unit that we found out isn't fully compatible with the car. So we talk to a manager and they agree to pull the entire remote start and alarm system and install a bi-directional Ford OEM remote start system. Three weeks later, they still haven't been able to get the remote start installed and working properly. Multiple calls to tech help, new parts, etc. What should we do if they come back and say they can't get it installed properly? Also, I'm tired of driving this crappy Chrysler 200.

Does anyone know if they fixed the crummy visors, or added in-cabin storage anywhere?

I live in southern Arizona and we just got the yearly influx of snowbirds, so no promises! Jus, glad you got your baby back. I know how stressful it can be having a car in the shop for weeks, hoping it comes out as good as it went in!

It really pisses me off that Ford didn't make these accessories available to be added on post-factory.

Sorry, Jus. Somehow I missed everything related to your wreck! Sorry to hear about that - I've been in a few and luckily haven't been injured (only 1 totaled car, too)!

I've never gotten this, no matter where or how I drive. Highest I've recorded, using the dash, is ~43mpg in town. You must know something I don't :D

A lot of tech, yes. Hopefully they expand the MFT and make it better. That's one of my biggest complaints.

What's a system maintenance event?

I had the wrench illuminate when the installer who put in the remote start+alarm did something wrong. It disabled my cruise!

What did I miss?

The last thing I need is more technology in this car distracting me while I try to pay attention to it all!

Guess I'm just greedy!
