  1. I put my phone in the slot between the e-brake handle and the console and my wallet on that stupid lip over the touchscreen.
  2. Not too much fog, but I like having fogs for two reasons: 1) I LOVE having light. You can't have enough. 2) It gets hella dark out in the desert, and having that extra throw of the lights to the side help see critters faster.
  3. I would like for the foglight button to permanently set the fog lights on/off - so if I restart the car I don't have to push the button again.
  4. Yes, an aftermarket unit. I need to go back and have them uninstall it.
  5. They installed an aftermarket unit on my CMax because we got the alarm too - DO NOT GET IT INSTALLED. It only works with key fob, does not work with the key-less entry, and does not work if you lock the doors from the inside. If you lock the car with a key fob and unlock it by grabbing the handle, the alarm will sound.
  6. Yeah, we drive about 40k miles per year commuting to/from work so mpgs were on the top of our list of must-haves. I really wanted a Mercedes GLK but it runs on premium fuel.
  7. Considering we are in the car a lot, we wanted something kind of nicer.
  8. I commute 3 hours a day (1.5 hrs to work and 1.5 hours from work). It's about 150 miles round trip; uphill to work and downhill from work. I usually drive to work and my wife usually drives home. Speeds vary between 50-75 both ways. We do about 77mph on the interstate and 67mph on the highways. I have 54 fill ups over 19,167.9 miles, starting 22 JUN 13. I have found that my pump mpgs are 2-3mpg lower than the car records. This is true even if I use different pumps. My mpgs don't change with A/C usage. My mpgs don't change with heat usage. My mpgs don't change with headlights usage. My mpgs don't change with temperature. My mpgs don't change between ECO and non-ECO cruise. My mpgs don't change with different drivers. My mpgs don't change if I vary my speeds a few mph. I believe that AC and heat usage doesn't change my mpgs because I'm already running the gas motor on the interstate so the car isn't having to kick the motor on needlessly. Not sure why there's no difference between ECO and non-ECO cruise usage, though. Also, the visors suck balls. *edit* I wonder if my mpgs would bump up if I could fabricate a tent between the fender and the side view mirrors.
  9. My driving is majority on the highway, but I don't get anything higher than that, average.
  10. Yeah, the whole reason I turned off the ECO is because I hate the speed fluctuations. Seems like if I set it at 77, it varies between 75 and 79. But I don't want to go 79, I want to go 77. With ECO off, I believe it behaves the same.
  11. I took my ECO off a few days ago and have noticed no mpg decrease. In fact, I think my mpg may have bumped up a smidge.
  12. How did you get get invited to the initial gathering?
  13. How do the rest of us get signed up to do some of these meet and greet things? I wanna do it!
  14. I watched some YouTube videos on this stuff. It's freaking amazing. Seriously, the pinnacle of human achievement.
  15. Not mine - it was a lizard that I came across while biking.
  16. I thought so too, but I've noticed it changing even with steady incline/decline.
  17. It's things like the wiggly fuel tank reading that make me very hesitant to believe the 'fuel used' that the car reports. Guess I'll have to run it down all the way to see how many gallons the car says it uses before the motor dies.
  18. Well, having gas+EV DTE, that could be interesting, but that's not what I meant. There should be a DTE that shows how far you can drive with the car in it's current state. So, if you're climbing a grade, your DTE will be lower.
  19. I don't purposefully run on fumes, but it seems pretty crazy it doesn't tell you instantaneous DTE along with 'long term' DTE.
